Christopher's Review: Overall rating: 5-Star: "Can't say enough good things about Leah and the property. It's the coolest house I've stayed in and Leah was almost immediate to respond at all times if needed. The one special request I made was accommodated well beyond what I even hoped. 5 stars across the board for sure."

Public review: This is a great house in a fantastic location! Public review: Great house in a great location! Easy walking to NW 23rd Avenue and all the dining and shopping options it provides. The house worked very well for our family - 3 adults and 3 kids ages 18, 15 and 10. Two separate living spaces allowed space for everyone. Unlimited hot water was ideal for our large group. Leah was very responsive with any questions we had.

My friends and I really enjoyed this home. What a great neighborhood with relative quick access to many of Portland's most attractive assets. I would absolutely consider staying here again on another trip.
We loved the character of the house, the location, close to many restaurants and Forest Park for hiking. Our host was amazing and welcoming and accessing the house was easy. We loved the patio for morning coffee and evening cocktails.
The property's location was ideal for our group of eight. Very comfortable with creative artwork throughout the home. Thanks for making your place available!
Beautiful home with charm and outstanding amenities
Amazing home with unique character and beautiful layout. The courtyard was a favorite location for our large group to gather in the evenings. Very responsive hosts. Good location to access NW Portland restaurants and shops within reasonable walking distance. A highly recommended spot!!
Very nice and artsy home. My only real complaint was that we had to park a block and a half away because we were renting a standard SUV and parking was tight near the house.
We stayed over Christmas 2024–my husband and I and our 2 grown children (22 and 26). The neighborhood is amazing—we walked for groceries and coffee and an amazing dinner at St. Jack’s. Easy to walk to fantastic trail system. The house is cozy—the heated floors were a fav—and super charming with unique artwork. Complete kitchen—clearly a cook spends time here. CheckIn and out was breezy. Highly recommend!
Leah was extremely nice and responsive. We were able to check in early, and everything was clean and organized. There were a ton of yummy restaurants we walked to and a great bakery for breakfast treats/coffee. The area around the kitchen was perfect, place to sit and talk or eat.
Loved it!
The property is beautiful! Leah was a great communicator and reached out as soon as I made the reservation to touch base. Checking in and out was a breeze as well. The house was clean and provided a lot of space to host our nine-person group. The downstairs in particular was a great space for playing games with a large group. The location was perfect for a vacation in the city.
The location was great. The house was fine too, but the bottom floor that is street level felt a bit like a basement. Some of the rooms on this level, which were majority of the rooms, were also small and cram in - just a bed in the room and no space to move around. Overall the house worked fine for our group.
A group of good friends enjoyed this beautiful Victorian home for 2 days. The weather was so hot that we stayed indoors and enjoyed every space of the house. Starting early on the deck and ending the evening in the backyard. Leah was so accommodating and left clear and easy instructions. It was a great house.
This was a very roomy house. It was clean and the beds comfortable. Some rooms did not have storage space, but others had lots, so we shared it is a very old house, so the floors do creak when someone is walking upstairs. The neighborhood is great, nicely located, and with nice coffee shops, bakery & some restaurants nearby. I recommend it for larger groups. Leah couldn’t have been nicer & more available. Thank you!
I booked this house at the last minute for seven adult family members at a difficult time. We found the house full of character and it felt welcoming and cosy. It was clean and well-appointed with basics, including coffee and fresh bouquet. Great shower pressure! The location couldn't be better -- interesting food, shops, coffee, markets, and a park with a good hike all within a few blocks. The house offers plenty of privacy for individuals but also lots of gathering space on the patio and in the living and dining areas. The owner was most responsive and very helpful. We stayed six days. I'd certainly return and recommend this stay, especially if you like historic properties.
This is a remodeled house in a nice urban neighborhood within walking distance to several restaurants, market and grocery store. Our host was perfect. Met us at the property just to give us a tour and was available at all times on her cell phone. She was not intrusive at all. Never saw her again because we had no problems. Perfect balance of availability and privacy. Nice space in the back yard, which was relatively private considering the urban setting. We would stay there again.
Our family had a wonderful stay. We especially appreciated the upstairs/downstairs configuration. My daughter and her spouse took the upstairs bedroom, and my 3 year old granddaughter had the room next to theirs. My husband and I were downstairs and had the bathroom with the walk in shower. Sister in law had the other downstairs bedroom and bath to herself. Granddaughter was delighted with all the toys downstairs. The mini kitchen downstairs was perfect for us to make coffee in the morning, and tea in the afternoon. The kitchen upstairs was well stocked with pots, pans, cups, etc. We had everything we needed to prepare Christmas dinner. And, we were delighted by the fully decorated Christmas tree!

Why they chose this property
We wanted to live downtown, and be able to walk/hike/bike in Forest Park every day and walk 5-minutes or less to groceries, coffee and fresh baked bread and restaurants, and bike to work in 15 minutes or less, and have great schools. There is only one neighborhood in Portland that offers all that. When we saw this 1898 Victorian, we fell in love with it.
