Beautiful property owned by an amazing family.
I can't say enough how wonderful our stay was at Christine's. The house is large, comfortable and set on a beautiful ranch. Christine was as welcoming as anyone I've ever met. She invited us to use a swimming hole on the ranch, and even brought us warm zucchini bread straight out of the oven! Woke up and went to bed every day watching the deer and turkeys under the apple trees. Be sure that if we are ever in the area again we most definitely will be calling! Anyone who stays some place other than at this beautiful VRBO is a fool! We love you, and your amazing family!
We chose this location as a convenient launching point for Lassen and the nearby area. Those plans changed when Lassen closed, but our stay at the Meyers Ranch House was perfect.
The first day was smoke free. We hiked from the back door and spent time swimming and kayaking at the delightful swimming hole on the ranch. “Delightful” isn’t a fair description. We would return just to spend time there.
The second day was too smoky to enjoy the beauty around us, We spent the day indoors, which was wonderful. The home has many spaces to spread out or to spend time together. The WiFi was excellent. The furniture is beautiful and comfortable. The kitchen is well supplied.
We felt cared for. Beach towels and pool noodles for the swimming hole. A selection of puzzles. Suggestions for activities with directions. A ping pong table in the garage. We could go on. This is not just a place to stay. It is a place to relax and enjoy yourselves.
My family and I had the best vacation at this incredible property. The house itself is massive the kids had a great time just running around inside and all around the property.
We had an amazing stay at this beautiful location and would highly recommend to anyone. Spacious and clean ranch house on a quiet lot. We loved that our dog could run around outside and go with our family on small walks through the forest behind the backyard. We saw deer and a jack rabbit and bats at night. Mary Ann and Walker welcomed us shortly after we arrived and responded quickly via text with any questions we had. Across the road was the reservoir that had kayaks and a cabana with nice outdoor seating. It was perfect for my 3 boys and dog to swim and kayak and plenty of shade for me. The location was a great jumping off point from which we visited Lake Almanor, Indian Falls, and Lassen National Park. Things to note: Wifi only worked if you were right next to it, not in any of the bedrooms. No lights in long hall (pitch black) at night so with small children I'd recommend a plug-in nightlight. Also, the sprinklers come on around 9 or so which caught us by surprise (LOL) as we were looking at stars around the fire pit.
We had a great time and especially enjoyed the beautiful setting of this house. The backyard is adjacent to Plumas National Forest and the front yard has views of the ranch. A lot of nice small towns within driving distance and Lassen National Park is an easy one hour drive away. The house was large with large (very large) bedrooms with comfy beds. The host, Christine, was great - good communicator and provided a lot of interesting information about the area.
Getting out of the Bay Area spending time with family, in a mountain escape, and not too far from home, was the pre requisite for our initial search. When I came across The Myer’s Ranch. What a gem! A large retro, clean, accessible home up against the vast forest behind, trails at the back of the property, overlooking a beautiful working ranch. Only a short stint a private pond with Kayaking and private sitting area, to enjoy the majestic mountains, as you lazily drift, and paddle in silence. The home quiet, and perfect for our family to reconnect, a fire pit to sit around and catch up, an outdoor dining table to gather and enjoy… We will definitely be back to this wonderful mountain escape!!
This was such a cute property!! Communication was phenomenal, rooms were clean, overall an amazing experience! Only downside was we didn’t plan a long enough stay! We will be back for sure and for longer next time! 🤗🤗
Idyllic farm ranch beautifully furnished and with great outdoor space
Meyer's ranch is an idyllic place to vacation with family. Christine is a great host and wonderful human being. We enjoyed visiting the animals on her farm and nearby Lake Almanor. Can't wait to go back.
Absolutely gorgeous! Everything we expected and more. Horses were happy and comfortable. Lots of room in the house. Toiletries were all included. Washer and dryer was a bonus. Owners were so accommodating. Love this property!
My family had the most wonderful time at the ranch. The house was amazing and the ranch was wonderful! We enjoyed kayaking in the swimming hole on the ranch. Our kids loved watching the deer every evening and counting the geese as they flew overhead. The ranch house was so comfortable. We especially enjoyed spending time in the screened-in gazebo in the backyard. My family and I enjoyed every second of our trip. We will definitely plan on returning again.
This is a great property. Fully furnished with everything you need except your food & beverages. Spacious, well appointed interior. Well maintained exterior with BBQ, fire pit & horse shoe court. The open forest is adjacent to the back yard. Explore the area, or just stay at the property & relax...you won't be disappointed.
Also, Christine is a great host!
The ranch house was beautiful and immaculately clean. It was warm and cozy. We loved the watering hole. It was so roomy. Slatted doors were interesting. My snoring friends could be heard from my room! However, the beds made up for it. They were very comfortable.
What a great home nestled in the trees near Greenville! Spectacular views comfortable beds clean spacious right across from the Meyers beautiful ranch in the scenic Indian Valley. We hope to be back again sometime.

unique and fun
We enjoyed our stay at the ranch. Lots of room, lovely fall colors, views of pasture and mountain, and everything one needs for a great stay. Also we LOVED the beds, getting the best sleep we have had for a long time, although they were quite a challenge for those under four feet tall to scramble up into. I even tried to find the manufacturer tag because I might get my own sometime. Friendly owners try to make your stay great. Fun place.

Absolutely amazing
This ranch house is THE place to go when you want to get away from the busy city and surround yourself with nature. We took the hiking trail right next to the house that leads into the mountains, where it's beautiful and quiet. We also walked to the river, in which you can swim or canoe, and the dogs joined us. The owners were very friendly and had interesting recommendations on what to do in the area, but we loved the place so much, we decided to stay close to it during the whole stay. The inside is spacious and so comfortable, you will not want to leave. This ranch was the best house of our whole road trip in California.

Wonderful place to stay!!!
They Meyers Ranch House was roomy and modern with rustic undertones. The bedrooms were all large and the many windows through out the house made it easy to take in the beautiful scenery both in front of and behind the house. The owners made sure no detail was forgotten and as guests, we enjoyed high quality towels and bedding, making it easy to relax and make ourselves at home. Each evening of our stay, we saw deer in the backyard, 20 yards from the house and walking only a quarter of a mile back into the property, there is a meadow where there is more nature to enjoy. Everything about the house and the property it lies on is wonderful. I would HIGHLY recommend this location.

About the host
Hosted by Christine Meyers
Chris has lived in this area since he was seven years old and is a wealth of information about the local history. Chris and Christine were married in 1987 and have lived in the valley permanently since 1990 and here on the ranch since 1999. They have three sons who are in there 20's and are a significant part of the ranch when they aren't at University. We love this area and have deep roots here. We want to share this gorgeous area and our ranch with you.
Why they chose this property
Whether you're looking for something private and secluded, close to nature or wanting to truly experience a working cattle ranch, this is the place for you. We are a small cattle operation with the family doing the day-to-day chores. We love helping our guests find all the local hikes and activities as well as joining us on the ranch and helping as we care for the cattle and grass.
What makes this property unique
The unique thing about this area is that it is one of the only secluded, uncrowded places left in California. This particular house is peaceful and quiet with large picture windows where you can watch wildlife right out your back door.
