Great location for relaxation. About 2 miles up a dirt road. Very serene. Kitchen had enough pots, pans, and accessories to meet most needs. Bedrooms had air conditioning which kept the house cool during the day.
The accommodations were great with plenty of room. We all wanted to lay on the living room couches because they were so comfortable! The property was nice and peaceful with lots of flowers, bushes and trees to observe.
Stayed as a family of five. Everything was just as advertised. Kitchen was great for cooking and baking, surrounding area was peaceful and beautiful. We had a lot of fun with the ping pong table. The large great room and dining area combined with the selection of board games helped us have some real quality time with relatives we were visiting. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Hosts were responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay here again. The only thing is advise to folks who stay here in the future is to be sure to bring slippers or grippy socks as some spots on the floors can be a bit slippery.
Our family unfortunately made the trip for a funeral, but this house helped to make it a peaceful trip. The house and location were the peaceful retreat needed. There were 9 of us, and enough room for everyone to have space when needed. The kitchen stock has everything one needs.
House is in a beautiful setting with incredible views from all the front rooms. Kitchen is well outfitted and beds are comfortable. Listing is accurate.
The home and property were enjoyable- plenty of space for our large group. Beautiful views and plenty of windows to enjoy them. Home was very comfortable and had a nice flow- we enjoyed the large dining table for family meals and the daily game night!
This is a very nice property. It is well appointed with all the amenities provided. We cooked most nights, either in the kitchen or on the grill. The only two issues were 1) the battery backup for the internet started beeping after 2 or 3 days and did not stop. We place it in a cabinet with towels so as not to hear it. However, there were three people who needed internet access while on site so we put up with the noise when someone needed to get online.2) The property is not handicap accessible. We had one person staying who uses a cane and needed assistance going in or out of the house. Also the shower/tub has no grab bars.Otherwise, I would recommend staying here. It is really peaceful, quiet and, as advertised, has great sunsets!!
The view from the front rooms and porch of the house are breathtaking throughout the day and evening. The kitchen is well stocked. It feels private and remote but is 15 minutes from groceries and hardware and good restaurants. The listing is exactly as promised.
House was so comfortable and the location was beautiful. We really enjoyed coming back after hiking to watch the sunset on the deck, and starting the day with coffee on the deck also. We would definitely stay again.
Thankyou Matt and Lindsey for a wonderful stay at your spacious house. Our family loved it! The house was even better than the pictures.Theres a large entryhall to hang coats and take off your shoes. The large kitchen, and open cozy space with large dining table and spacious livingroom. Super comfy sofas. The master bedroom was a surprise with the beautiful view. And, it was a beautiful ride too, coming and going to the house. We reccomend this rental!! And, hope to return again.
The view is a spectacular from the second floor I just wish to have some toys to play in the snow with my daughter at the house is so beautiful and calm definitely recommended five stars
We stayed for a month and were genuinely sad to leave. The house is fantastic with beautiful views and is incredibly private on a great piece of land. It’s also accessible to several towns and within an hour drive of numerous fantastic mountains to hike. We highly recommend it and would happily return!
Great view. Roomy interior, nice kitchen. Includes washer and dryer.
The only reason we did not give a 5 star rating is that there is no banister or hand rail on the steps going to second floor. We found that a challenge, especially when carrying luggage.
Other than that great hosts with fast response.
Thank you
Hosts are excellent communicators, and property is accurately described. When I arrived, there was an alarm going off on the stovetop. I didn’t want to bother the host, but I did reach out the following morning, and within minutes, I received a response which immediately solved the problem (reset breaker). This provides an excellent location to visit life-long friends in the area, with the convenience of a great kitchen. (We are already quite familiar with the surrounding area.) The location allowed us more time to visit our friends, which would've been impossible to do if we needed to stay all the way in Killington, etc. We are really appreciative to this host family--thank you!
Spacious, well-equipped house with abundance of natural light. The kitchen was very clean, functional and well stocked. The bathrooms were also tidy and supplied.
We stayed a week with our daughter and her family. The house being at the end of the road was a safe place for our two grandsons under 10 to ride their bikes in the driveway and our grand dog enjoyed his leisurely outdoor visits.
We appreciated the pancake mix, popcorn and coffee supplied in the welcome basket.
Thank you Lindsay for answering all of our questions satisfactorily; allowing us to be confident that this house would more than meet our needs.
A beautiful, quiet mountain-side setting with great views. Nicely appointed and very roomy and comfortable. Great kitchen and large dining area, with plenty of room to spread out into several "separate" living/gathering areas. Hosts were beyond wonderful and we would definitely stay here again.
