Bonus for Spring 2025: Lambs, Piglets & chicks! Spring is full of littles!

Our farmhouse inn is a three-bedroom luxurious vacation space, complete with gourmet kitchen, incredible views and spacious living areas making it a wonderful retreat for small or larger groups or as a launching pad for skiing and exploring vermont.

The new farmhouse was finished in 2012 and includes three bedroom suites on two floors. It comfortably sleeps six to eight people. The farmhouse is for rent in its entirety which includes a gourmet kitchen perfect for cooking up farm fresh food; two living rooms, a dining room and two wonderful porches that provide great views of the farm. The main floor has a gorgeous stone masonry heater to warm up the winter days and the lower level living room has a wood stove, in addition to radiant floor heating throughout the house.

The house and kitchen are fully equipped with everything you need for a great stay including linens, towels, wireless internet and ample flat-screen televisions and satellite tv for enjoying movies after hiking, skiing or cooking.
We also have an onsite Level 2 EV charger, complimentary.

Each stay includes a farm tour and a sample of farm fresh food. Our farmstand is stocked and available for guests seeking to purchase sustainably raised meats and veggies for cooking or taking home.

Our location:
In Central Vermont, just south of Montpelier, we are a convenient rural Vermont get-a-away, 3 hours from Boston, 2 from Montreal and 5 from New York City. The Farm is in Northfield, VT just 5 minutes from I-89.

If you are looking to alpine ski we are nearly equi-distant (45-55 minutes) from Sugarbush, Pico & Killington and Stowe and for the overall snow lovers, we are in a snowbelt and have great trails and fields for snowshoeing and simple cross country skiing onsite.

Additional nearby outdoor recreation includes the mountain bike and hiking trails at Shaw Outdoor Center on Paine Mountain, starting out in downtown Northfield about 7 minutes away.

For the food lovers, our farmstand is stocked with high quality, organic meats from animals raised humanely and on pasture along with some produce, prepared foods and fruits.
And of course for the beer & coffee lovers, Northfield is home to Good Measure Pub & Brewery, https://www.goodmeasurebrewing.com/, deemed by many to be producing some of the best beer in the state. We are also home to Carrier Roasting Company, focused on quality, transparency and sustainablity. https://carrierroasting.com/pages/about

Mari Omland & Laura Olsen own and run Green Mountain Girls Farm. In the heart of Central Vermont, Green Mountain Girls Farm is a family farm steeped in the rich culture of Vermont’s working landscape. Our farm is situated high in the Green Mountains at the top of the watershed. We grow food in ways that capture the greatest potential of the sun, rain and natural systems, while enhancing food quality, plant health, soil life and ecosystem services.

We offer clean, delicious, nutrient dense food and farm stays for individuals and families prioritizing wellness and who want their food and tourism choices to support social and ecological health. Together, through regenerative agriculture, we can restore balance and connection and hope to influence larger systemic change, because how farmers farm and eaters eat matters.

What makes this property unique

House is on a working farm with a robust farmstand full of organic, pasture-raised meats, produce and value added products raised and produced on the farm.
