Clean and updated accommodations. Wonderful location with close proximity to Lake George Village. Nice amenities overall with outdoor patio and grill on deck. Enough space for 8 people! Perfect spot to watch Sunday night fireworks. Enjoyed use of dock and lake as we chose the hottest week. First time staying on east side of lake and would definitely visit again!
Pros: Great location right by the water and close to town. My kids got to jump off the dock and swim in the lake. House had more beds than I was expecting. No issues so I didn't need to contact the owner during our stay. House was relatively private, some neighbors did come and go but were friendly. Cons: No extra blankets, pillows or sheets, so bring your own if you need. Kitchen - particularly oven, fridge, and toaster oven could use a good cleaning. Also in general would have been nice to have more cleaning supplies. There was a vacuum but I didn't see a broom anywhere.
The lakefront is the only thing that saves this place from zero stars. The house was tiny, there was no place to sit and play a game with my family…. The walls were dirty and damaged, and the furniture is filthy and old. There was a box fan from 1976 that hadn’t been cleaned since that long either. The beds were the most uncomfortable beds I have ever slept on. There is a very very steep spiral staircase to get to the 2 twin beds downstairs that have nothing else in the room (no night tables or anything at all) The water from the kitchen sink was barely more than a trickle. On the upside, the lake view is SO gorgeous, the use of the kayak and paddle board & small dock was really nice. The lake is pristine. The owners were nice, and wanted to help but there was really nothing they could do to fix the inside of the house while we were there. I left my mattress pad on the master bedroom bed by accident so hopefully they’ll keep it on there to help the next people. If you like to be comfort and space, this place is not for you.
