About this property

Ocean Therapy-A few steps from the beach

See and hear the ocean from this great beach house that just a few steps from the beach with lifeguards. Always being updated. We just added as part of the main house a newly renovated Master suite. The room has it's own entrance, a kitchen, a dining area, full bath and private deck. Ideal for older couples. The entire house sleeps 12 people with 3 bathrooms and an outdoor shower. Ductless AC for the upstairs main living area. All bedrooms have an AC units. Two of the bedrooms also have ceiling fans. There is a separate laundry room with a washer/dryer. A full kitchen and dining area. Downstairs is a large wrap around deck. Upper and lower decks has TimberTech decking. Upper deck there is a Weber Grill, a dining table and couches to enjoy the views of the ocean and lighthouse. House also has a WiFi, Smart TV, 2 living area spaces. Included amenities are beach towels, beach chairs, umbrellas, linens and bath towels provided. There are 5-6 bicycles for you to use and boogie boards.

Weekly rental is Friday to Friday. We will try and accommodate partial weeks during off peak.

Check in at 4:00 pm and check out is by 10:00 am.

Perfect location but a few things you need to know.

Tenant lives downstairs on property which means limited privacy. There was no disclosure of this. Dangerous staircase for elderly and children. Not baby friendly. Lots of mosquitos on the property that get into the house and bedrooms. Bikes are rusty and some didn’t have brakes that we were unaware of. We were told there were cleaning people, but had to do laundry the last day and 10am checkout time. Great location and amazing views. Close to town and great deck. Sal was extremely nice and open to calls and text messages.

**Note to Potential Tenant: The separate apartment has been renovated and made part of the main house. The entire house will be solely for your use 11/24/2024** Thank you for your review and feedback. On a barrier island near the ocean, it is difficult to keep bicycles from rusting. We do plan on replacing a bike or two. So thank you for that. I'm not sure if there is anything that can be done about the mosquitoes during the humid month of July other than keeping the doors closed as much as possible. With regards to the "dangerous" stairs, there was a photo showing the spiral staircase and noted on the property profile. As an alternate means, there's the upper deck staircase that leads to the front of the house or the back staircase. The request to run a load of wash is typical for all the rental properties out there. It helps the cleaning service do a thorough job without being bogged down with laundry. Lastly, while checkout is at 10 am, I was able to accommodate an early check in time as I always try and do for all my tenants that arrive early by ferry. Lastly, there is no one living downstairs in the main house. There is a separate studio apartment that has its own entrance. Absolutely no shared space where there has never been an issue with the single woman that occupies the apartment.

House was larger than expected, and the location was excellent. The upstairs deck is a great spot to hang out an have a view of the ocean. It has a beach house feel, for sure - this is not a suburban house plopped down by the ocean. The ocean is 30 seconds walk - never even wore shoes or sandals to get there. the restaurants in town are under 10 min walk. The owner was friendly, responsive and super easy to work with.

Kismet House steps from the Beach

We had a wonderful time at this house just steps from the beach in Kismet. Sal met us at the dock for check-in with a wagon in tow to help us bring our luggage to the house. The house has plenty of room with a nice second story deck and a spacious side deck. Would recommend to anyone looking to be steps from the beach with great views of the ocean and lighthouse.

Kismet Beach Stay

Beautiful Beach Getaway

We spent a lovely and relaxing week at Sal’s Kismet property. It is an extremely comfortable house with all basic amenities and two spacious decks. From the upper deck you can see and hear the ocean.

I have been a lifeguard at Kismet for over 40 years. Kismet is a special place where I have spent a large part of my life. Purchasing this beach house was a dream come true. Having the ability to share this slice of heaven with people from near and far has been fun for me. Some come to get away with friends. Some come to celebrate a family reunion and some come to decompress and find themselves again. To be able to make a small difference is very rewarding.

Close to the ocean situated on a quiet block. Don't have to haul your belongings far and easy trip back to the house for lunch.

Many places to sit back and relax. Shade can be found at this house at any time of the day.

5 bedrooms and 3 baths with an outdoor shower. House includes a newly decorated private master suite with it's own bathroom, cooking and dining area with it's own private deck. The entire house has plenty of deck space to have a nice dinner outside with a views of the ocean and lighthouse with the sun setting behind it
