Loceation is perfect for a Tweetsie getaway for the family! Note there is no cell phone service that I could get on Verizon there, but internet once sorted worked so you could do most everything. Scenery is lovely and host very helpful!

Good location
Clean small condo in great proximity to Boone. We enjoyed all the snow. Due to freezing temperatures and very thin bedspreads we could have used more blankets.
We had a great stay here! The space is beautiful and it’s in a quiet and peaceful area outside of town. All the perks of a mountain getaway with the convenience of still being 10-15 minutes from everything you could need. We will definitely keep this in mind for future trips to Boone!

Very quiet and tranquil place. Clean and comfy. Recommend small car for parking purposes. My SUV fit ok, but there was a work truck parked near the barn that did not move. I am assuming it was the owners, because there was a third car and I could barely get past them into the parking space. Other than the parking situation, it would've been 5 stars all the way around!
Two couple were in town for a football game and to enjoy the High Country. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the property. It was clean, comfortable, well stocked and perfectly shabby chic. In check in, be mindful that the area doesn’t have great wifi (outside) so good to screen shot the door code ahead of time. There was also some residual storm damage in the area (to be expected) mainly on roadways en route. Property itself had recovered nicely! We would choose to stay there again…
We had a lovely stay. The location was perfect and the space was big enough for a family of 5. The couch was not the best, kind of lumpy and not like the picture, and the chairs were kind of uncomfortable, too. It was hard to “chill out” as a family with the small furniture and the abundance of decor. We had to move some things around to make space for the groceries, but we made it work. The bedroom spaces were good and there was plenty of bedding. It wouldn’t hurt for a small dresser to be placed in each room, especially as we were there for 7 nights. Overall, it was a great experience and Emily was quick to respond to any needs. 😊
Location was easy to get to from local Boone and Blowing Rock attractions. Beds were super comfortable. Living room area isn’t designed/decorated for lounging, couch and chairs weren’t comfortable. If you are coming to this home to just sleep and grab a quick bite it would be perfect. We did have a run in with the other renters regarding parking, once we found the other unit and asked them to move their car it was fine. I never received a check in guide from the company renting out the place. When we got there I realized I didn’t have a code to get into the door so I had to reach out to the owner. They were very prompt in responding. Overall nice unit.

Very poor connectivity
The house was OK with everything we expected. Although the duct tape covering a hole in the bathtub was a little unusual. The biggest issue was the location was such that cell service was VERY bad. I had one tiny bar on ATT and my SIL had zero on Verizon. I know the owners can't control cell service but they can control the internet speeds and connectivity. The internet was also very poor such that it was hard to send/receive text messages or emails and it kept dropping out totally. If you were planning on streaming a movie I don't think that would work out at all.

Response from VrboOwner on 30 Oct, 2024
Hi David, this homeowner has asked us to pass along the following response:
“We are in a remote location, which is why folks travel here. We actually cannot control the internet speed and there are many outside things like weather, trees, and construction that impact the signal.”
Overall, it had almost everything you would need as far as sheets, blankets, pillows, and towels. The kitchen was equipped with pots, pans utensils, coffee mugs. It has a keurig/coffee pot. You will need to make sure you bring keurig cups and or coffee grounds. We cooked breakfast every morning and it had everything we needed. It has dishwashing soap but not liquid soaps for the bathrooms.
It was decorated really cute! A lot of fun pictures, antique decor and just a mixture of things that make you feel at home. I gave it four stars because the pictures in the Vrbo made it seem like it was bright and sunny inside which makes me think when the pictures were taken all of the lights were turned on. It’s very dark even in the daytime so I was disappointed in that. I think there are too many trees that block the sunlight.
Whenever I reached out to the hostess she responded right away so that’s a plus.
We enjoyed our stay! The only complaints were that we could not get tv volume to turn up (so we couldn’t watch anything), the den furniture is not very comfortable. Also, the coffee supplies were all bad.

House was ok for a night after Tweetsie visit with granddaughter. It has limited comfortable seating two small chairs and a small loveseat. it seemed a little dusty, and there was some cobwebs like it been sitting vacant for a while.
We enjoyed a relaxing weekend with beautiful leaves and great fall weather. The only suggestion would be to include better directions for finding the garage apartment and a Wi-Fi booster. The Wi-Fi signal was very spotty in the apartment.
The property was so peaceful and tucked out of the way. We enjoyed an escape from the business and crowds and left with a feeling of renewal. Highly recommend this little retreat.
We enjoyed our property and how close we were to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Blowing Rock! We did several hikes at the Moses Cone House and land and had so much fun!
