Miracles on Polly - Enchanted River Retreat

Charming & bright with a river view, nestled along the tail end of the Pinette River. Belfast is peppered with pretty biking/hiking trails & beaches. We love it here...we hope you will feel the same. If privacy is something that you cherish than this is certainly a place you will feel at peace. The river is not deep enough for swimming from this access point. We also rent The Fairy tale Cabin privately from the cottage - available on VRBO.

Cascading with plant life that enchants this cozy cottage to feel alive. With splashes of art, books, trinkets and antiques. A rustic tone with hints of modern. This is a Refurbished mini-home nestled within the beautiful forests of Belfast blossoming a lovely river view. The master bedroom offers a queen sized bed with a 50" TV, closets and a calmly forest view. The second bedroom has a daybed with a trundle bed underneath equipped with two twin bed mattresses in total. There is also a small TV and closet space.
The bathroom offers laundry services. Finishing off with full kitchen and main living area.

If you have a small Non Shedding dog, that does not leave a large "footprint" on the cabin please feel free to reach out. We do consider pets on a case by case basis. We love animals, our cabins are rather detailed and not always suitable for every pet:)

There is a 4 person outdoor cedar barrel sauna. This is shared with all the guests on the property. That would be any guest staying in 1 of our 3 cabins.

Miracles on Polly have two rental properties on the 4 acre property. Our second is the Fairy Tale Cabin - Tiny Home. We ask that all guests respect each others space and privacy. Our family also has an off grid camp, deeper in the woods, we spend a little time there in the summer.

NOTE: Given the plant-life that inhabits the Enchanted River Retreat, if guests book over 7 days one of our staff members must gain entrance to the cottage to service and water the plants. Masks and PPE will be worn and this will take a maximum of 40 minutes - Thank you :)

NOTE: We strive for five star cleanliness, every time. We have implemented strict cleaning and pest control measures that we monitor closely. We are located in the middle of the woods and the interior of the cabin has well over 150 plants. This all being said, the odd insect can find its way in to our Enchanted River Retreat.

NOTE: In the winter months all guests must park at the top of the lane-way and walk down. It is not lengthy but slightly steep. There is always at least enough space for 3 cars at the top of the laneway. If you are uncomfortable walking down a decline in the winter months than this may not be the best place for you. In saying that I keep it cleared and sanded and truly hope you do chose to call my place home.

NOTE: We provide WIFI, TV's and HDMI cables. There is no cable or streaming services provided so bringing your own devices is recommended.

The property was just beautiful! The hosts were exceptional with any questions we had! We loved the decor, with many plants, fairies and colour. The cleanliness was top notch! We enjoyed the little river with a place to sit! Even though there was a fire ban, we had fun sitting on the back deck overlooking the trees and river! Highly recommend!

Enchanted is right!

My wife and I came here to stay for our honeymoon and it was absolutely wonderful. Every time we turned around we noticed new, sweet details, and the hosts were incredibly thorough, thoughtful, and kind. We will be staying there again! If you’re a fan of house plants, you’ll be in heaven!

Beautiful site, river, bon fire and property. The only downside was the clutter...too many knick knacks and plants that it was a struggle to find space to put our luggage and to relax. 65 plants! Host was great, very helpful.

We were surprised by the number of plants. We enjoyed our stay. The only negative point to report was about the television without cable. I didn't realize the mention of television really meant strictly television. I was a bit confused, but I now understand.

I recently had a one night stay at the Enchanted River Cabin and it was a fantastic experience. The cabin was charming and bright, nestled along the Pinette River and surrounded by lush greenery. The owners have done an excellent job decorating the cabin with a rustic touch and adding splashes of art, books, trinkets and antiques. The cabin was cascading with beautiful flowers and plants that added to the enchanting atmosphere. The bedrooms and bathroom were clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped and we enjoyed cooking our meals there. The owners were friendly and helpful. The location was great, with plenty of nearby amenities and outdoor activities such as hiking and biking trails and beaches. We loved the privacy and seclusion of the cabin and the fire pit and bench by the river were a nice touch. We highly recommend the Enchanted River Cabin for a peaceful and relaxing getaway.

A magical place

Our stay in the enchanted river cottage was magical. The property feels like a sanctuary. It is so peaceful and so good for the soul! One could hang out on the deck all day and listen to nature around them! The cottage is a true gem with its abundance of plants and little decorations. We have never experienced anything like it. We could tell how much love had gone into this place. The cottage has everything one needs for a week’s stay. The air conditioning was much appreciated during the hot summer. The host was kind and easy to communicate with. He even left little presents for the kids which was so thoughtful. Overall, our stay was exceptional. We all felt like we had a true vacation, we could relax and recharge (with kids…and that says something)! This cottage is so special and we hope to return one day.

Immaculate and Comfortable Home in Historic Belfast

Miracle on Polly is a small 2BR home across from the historic St. John's Presbyterian Church, overlooking the headwaters of the north branch of the Pinette River in Belfast. The home is really a bit of a miracle. It is immaculate and very comfortable, with a tremendous queen-sized bed. Most remarkable are the plants, which are thriving; the home is almost a conservatory. The owner, Alex, was always available by email or cell for directions, etc.

Miracles on Polly is a grass roots retreat destination in its 2nd year of development. On the 4 acre property we host our Two Bedroom Private River Retreat Cottage as well as The 12'x12' Fairy Tale Cabin Tinyhome.

We can be as available or as unavailable as desired. We also have a visitors/diners/entertainment guide on site! I worked in hospitality all my life. We care about people and want the best for them genuinely. If there is anything we can do to help your stay and over all vacation in any capacity please let me know. Also we feel it is important to mention that our family has a little camp deeper in the woods on the four acre property, further up from the river closer to the road. We spend some time there once and awhile in the summer:)
