Arrived at the property and first impressions, the windows in the living room weren't very clean. That was a bit of a let down trying to look out at the mountain views through grubby windows.Me and my three girls slept in the room above the kitchen which was a bit of a novelty being up a ladder in the roof space which was cool. The house itself, a bit outdated but had everything we needed and for what we paid, it was okay. A bit disappointed that the tele had no remote to watch anything but luckily the kids had puzzles and toys to amuse themselves while we were at home. Yep, nice little home but the cleaning could have been better. That's what happens I guess when you leave it to those that rent the place. Not all peoples cleaning standards are the same.

Simple, quaint and beautiful positioning make this alpine split level cottage a comfortable and memorable stay. The house sits beautifully on the hil overlooking the eastern side of Hamner and foothills and is only a short walk to Connical hill and other tracks making it perfect for walkers and nature enthusiasts. It's also only about 15mins into Hanmer centre and hot pools by foot, 5 mins by car making it pretty central. The pet friendly addition is fantastic but animals aren't permitted to be left onto the property unsupervised and a secure yard isn't available - just as a side note to be mindful of.The kitchen is very functional for cooking with modern and simple cookware provided. The cottage decor and funiture is on the older side but everything is very comfortable and clean. A modern Netflix capabke TV is provided, and for cold nights was a great inclusion. Warm and effective heat pumps work quickly to warm the the entire space effortlessly.To keep costs low you are expected to clean and take all rubbish with you which is a small inconvenience for competitive pricing. We had a wonderful stay and the hosts were extremely helpful when due to international roaming issues I couldn't retrieved the full instructions list for check in and after a quick phone call the host was amazing at helping for a smooth check in. We had a wonderful time and would definitely return. Thanks much!

It was very nice to be able to communicate with the owner, ,no hassle, turns out had to cut stay short by one night, sick teenagerhad to be taken back to Chch.Otherwise, a good but brief stay. Thank you.
