We had a great experience here as part of our family vacation. The house was clean, modern, comfortable and in a quiet area. Our host was easily reached and pro active about communication. We would be happy to stay there again.
A luxury cottage that is an ideal family retreat. A short drive down to Sauble made beach days with family and friends easily accessible. Evenings were spent preparing meals in a well appointed kitchen and enjoying the deck and the campfire pit. The home is perfect for large families with comfortable beds and all the mod cons for a carefree and comfortable stay. Communication with the owner was quick and easy.
We had the most amazing time together here. The cottage super kid friendly and had plenary of space for all of us. The hosts were wonderful and accommodating. We had a little problem with with hot water and they had someone there within 15 minutes of calling and repaired within half an hour. We would definitely recommend these hosts and this property.
This property is very well “planned-out” for a family vacation. We had 3 Families in this cottage for 3 nights and every adult and child had a bed to sleep in.
The entire cottage was very cosy throughout our stay as I believe the floors are heated (lower and upper) This is a nice touch for a cottage when renting in the cold winter months. The ice pad was a huge hit with the kids and adults.
Even in -10c weather, the area was prime for exploring and the fire pit is a nice place to spend the evening as the area designated for the pit is surrounded by trees that provide a shield from the lake breeze.
Overall this stay was a 10/10. Can’t wait to visit again in the summer and check out the beach.
If you are looking for a quite retreat, this is a great location.
The house is extremely clean, has lots of natural light and a leisure 10 minute bike ride will take you to the beach.
Great property - highly recommend to anyone who wants a modern cottage feel in a great location.
Our group: 6 adults + 6 kids ages 8 -15
Pros
- Clean, beautifully furnished cottage, stocked with absolutely everything and more that you need to cook a fine meal. (brought some of my own stuff just in case but was pleasantly surprised as I didn’t need to use any of it!)
- Great patio area with ample seating.
-Good location - close to many beaches. Sauble beach 10 min away (our top pick for nicest beach)
- 1 hour away from Tobermory (a must see)
-Beautiful yard with fire pit and swing set
-Communication with Daliana the owner was a pleasure - she is very professional and responded quickly when we had any questions.
- Parking for 3 cars comfortably
- Blow up mattress provided ( note: this cottage is ideal for 10 ppl but we knew that going into it and with the blow up mattress and the fact that we had some small kids (ie we fit 2 adults 1 small child in each king bed etc…) - it was perfectly fine!
Cons
-Other than having to deal with my own garbage and recycling which seems to be a general cottage rental requirement, I have to have to say it was a perfect stay from the accommodations, right down to the ease of communication with the owner.
Highly recommend!
Surrounded by nature, fully equipped with everything you need to rest and relax, close to beautiful beaches and easy access to amazing outdoor activities like hiking, fishing, canoeing, and cross country skiing.
