Overall Great Stay

The location is ideal to the parks, other attractions, shopping and dining. The resort pool, children's water park, playground and all that is included there were well done and enjoyable. The home is what was expected. A nice multi room house with pool and hot tub. Easily managed and enjoyable.

Just as pictured.

The house was spacious and provided enough room for everyone to be comfortable. It was just as pictured. Was close to universal, sea world, and other attractions. Communication with property management was excellent and check in was super easy and smooth! We did see a few bugs around the trash but nothing super concerning. We would stay again.

Beautiful home but...

The home itself was absolutely beautiful but the service was not so great, from dirty comforters to trash left from last occupants to having to buy supplies as if you were at home was not to be desired. The teenagers really enjoyed the theater room and pool area. It was close to a lot of shopping and the Disney Parks as well. With better service this home could be an all time favorite.

Family Disney Vacation

The home was beautiful and we had a wonderful time. I would recommend this property to anyone and would stay here again. If I had to criticize one thing it would be the kitchen supplies. The pots and pans were old and need to be replaced. Also, we wanted to make tea but there was no pitcher or measuring cups. Also the den is great for the kids but can get hot bc it is a converted garage. Everything else was great. We were close to the disney parks and the kids loved the pool. There were two sets of washer and dryers which was nice. There was plenty of space for everyone too

Great house but missing a few things..

The house was clean and in a good location. However I hade a few concerns, for a house that accommodates a large number of guest I expected more then 2 dish towels for the kitchen, also no large bowls, only 2 mixing bowls, no measuring cups or spoons. In the bathrooms no soap holders or soap dispensers. We had either no toilet paper or a used roll. We discovered in the downstair master bedroom that we could see the neighbors in the house next door while in the shower.. huge problem.. no privacy on the window in the shower. We had to put up a towel to feel “comfortable “. There was a broken floor mirror in the Harry Potter room that needs to be removed. We had the youngest guest cut themselves on it. Overall the house was great. The gameroom provided lots of fun for all. The pool was clean. The house was spotless. Even though we had a few concerns, the experience was great and I would recommend the house.

It was big enough!

Communication was excellent and quick, we had a couple issues with internet access and the tv's, maintenance came out right away. The location of the extra towels and sheets should've been in a better location we ended up buying towels thinking there wasn't enough for each guest only to find them later. Kitchen towel, dish rag and some dish soap would really help. The basketball game was broken in the game and theater room which was sad since that was one of the reasons we booked the house. My son loves basketball. The GPS takes us to the wrong gate each and every time so a note should be included in the check in process as to where to go and how to check in. Some of the outlets didn't work in the bathrooms or we didn't know how or what switch to turn on. Some instructions on how to use the electronics in the game room would be extremely helpful. But it was such a relaxing vacation to be able to come in and each go to our own rooms for quiet time. We got married while in Florida so our memories will last a lifetime thankyou for being a part of that.

Wonderful Management Company

Let me preface this with: THIS HOUSE IS GORGEOUS. It is huge, beautifully decorated, and well stocked. Those complaining about having to supply certain items obviously do not stay in villas very often. The pool was great, warm and tons of fun for the kids. We brought our own pool toys and games and threw them away prior to departure. Loved the room set up, location of the house, community security, etc. We take 1-2 trips to Florida each year. It’s been our family tradition for over 18 years and we always rent villas. This was our first rental with Blue Skies and I must say, I was impressed with their policies, how communicative/responsive they were (love the text feature!). Challenges with the house: when we arrived, at check in, the cleaners were still inside cleaning. No biggie, but we had been waiting at the clubhouse for HOURS and were ready to settle in. The house was clean, but there was a bandaid in the pool (we scooped it out with the net), the projector was broken (was a bummer but we didn’t care enough to contact the management company, there is soooo many other things to do! Like splash in the pool!!), and to our horror, there is seemingly a roach infestation. There are large size water bugs or cockroaches in the upstairs area (mainly saw in the master bedroom and laundry room), but there are what seem to be German (??) cockroaches that have infested the kitchen area. The first one we saw was dead in the master bedroom on the main level, but then we started seeing them throughout the kitchen. Drawers, on the stove, cabinets, and hiding in dishwasher. We bought raid, and lots of Lysol spray and wipes, but knew it wasn’t the solve. I contacted management and they sent an exterminator IMMEDIATELY, which was appreciated, but didn’t solve the issue either. I am not quite sure why there is a possible infestation because the house is CLEAN. The only thing I can think is because the fridge is leaking water from the freezer or whatever the water source is and perhaps that draws them? Not sure. But other than that, the house was great. We did wash all of our clothes in hot soapy water the night before we left, folded, and placed IMMEDIATELY in our LYSOLED suitcases and placed DIRECTLY in the rental van to ensure we didn’t bring any unwanted guests/hitchhikers home with us. All that said, I would rent from Blue Skies again, just maybe not this house. Which is shameful because it’s BEAUTIFUL. (And no, never experienced bugs in any other villa.)

We are happy to report that we have since not had any further issues with the palmetto bugs at this unit. We are glad to hear that despite these issues, you would still book with us again! We loved that the kitchen was well equipped so we could make meals instead of eating out every day. We will stay here in the future!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Although the property itself was as described and beautiful perfectly adequate for our party size, the property management were very responsive to any enquiries that were made. The on-site bar, restaurant and community pool were nearby and convenient. However we found the lack of towels and pool towels inconvenient having to wash them often. Pool furniture was inadequate for our size party table and 6 chairs which were all broken and dangerous 2 loungers full of mold.Had numerous nights with Neil ours having parties till early hours of the morning although security were contacted the parties continued We have stayed in many rental properties prior to this one, and this was the only one we had issues with bugs in the kitchen we did let management know and they had someone come out and spray but it did not alleviate the issue. The movie room projector was not working when we arrived but management did have fixed in a few days, however everything should be checked prior to a guest arriving to ensure everything is safe and working.

Great Place to Retreat to for Rest and Relaxation

The house is huge, the pool is good size, the living room / kitchen is perfect for entertaining, the theatre room is great. Having the private pool is really nice to get away to when you've spent the day out in Orlando, during spring break. The pool temperature was perfect. Honestly I will only choose houses that include the pool heat in the price. The reason being that all of the houses that charge the $32 per day, if they had reviews, had poor reviews about the pool heat. I asked 4 different houses about the heat, with the specific question of, "does it work?", not one of those houses responded with an answer whether it works. It was 90 during the day, but 60 at night. The resort pool was freezing. Knowing the heat came with the rental, gave me extra security that pool heat was real. Getting into the house was easy and nice. I really don't like keys, so the code system was perfect. I never talked directly to the host, the email was had all the information, and the texts were great reminders. I've never seen so much security for houses (all of Orlando), but the front gate was easy to navigate with guards there 24/7. Staying there during spring break meant the resort water park was very busy, but not as bad as the rest of Orlando. Not quite sure how to rate the how busy Orlando is, but all of the Disney parks were booked out for at least 2 weeks with Epcot being the only one available out 2 to 3 days. If you are going to the Parks, remember to book your days before you even leave home... Lots of places to eat out 5 miles or so. We found that going away from Orlando was best for getting seated quickly. Bahama Breeze was a 1 to 2 hour wait, while Chilly's was only 10 minutes when we went the opposite direction of Parks. We highly recommend this property for entertaining, resting with your family or just having a retreat after running the gauntlet at the Parks. Will definitely stay here when we return. Thanks
