About this property

Saddlers House, a purveyor of leather goods in the late 1800s, has undergone a creative restoration offering an unparalleled base for exploring the best of Hobart. Right in the city centre amongst cafes, restaurants and specialty shops, it’s also a short stroll to the waterfront and opposite the Sunday Farmers Market. The apartment overlooks the charming streetscape and offers modern conveniences including lift access, a gourmet kitchen, Smart TV, heating and cooling, and a dedicated workspace.
This first-level apartment at Saddlers House retains many original features, including polished floorboards and feature brick walls, enhancing its unique ambience overlooking Elizabeth St. The air-conditioned living room highlights comfortable seating and is equipped with a Smart TV along with fast internet, making it perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped for those who love to cook, featuring all the modern conveniences, including an oven and a dishwasher for easy cleanup, plus a four-seater dining table.
The bedrooms are designed with flexibility in mind, offering configurations of either a queen and two singles or two queen beds, all with high-quality bedding to ensure a restful night's sleep. Relax with a warm shower in the first bedroom ensuite or soak away the day's hustle in the deep freestanding bath in the contemporary main bathroom. With a dedicated workspace and laundry facilities, including a washer and dryer, this heritage apartment caters to all your needs, whether you're in Hobart for business or pleasure.
Enjoy direct lift access, a travel cot when needed, and of course, no shortage of restaurants and cafes at your doorstep. Please note that there is no on-site parking, but there is street parking nearby.
During your stay, you and your group will have the entire space to yourselves. Please make yourselves at home!
You're right in the heart of the city, yet the apartments are such a peaceful haven. In this part of the city, you'll enjoy the many dining and shopping options, with a great selection of local restaurants and eateries right on your doorstep. The popular Criterion Street cafes are just a stone's throw away, offering the best coffee and breakfast in town, with outdoor tables and a friendly, relaxed feel. If you love your Tassie produce, the farmers market on Sundays is a must-do and is located on Bathurst Street. If you're after some great Tassie wine, then go and see Tim at Cool Wine just across the road.
If you like to explore on foot, It's just an easy stroll to the wharf precinct, Botanic Gardens, Aquatic and Tennis Centre and Brooke Street Pier (MONA ferry).
Due to local regulations, we can happily host you for up to 90 nights. Any bookings that exceed this duration will be cancelled by Vrbo.
