Willunga Cottage - Sweet Country Living

COUNTRY COTTAGE

A traditional country home on five acres at the gateway to the Mornington Peninsula. This rural setting home is surrounded with undulating paddocks and farm animals. It is perfect for families or group of friends looking for a short retreat to the country yet not too far away from all types of convenience stores and fine restaurants. It accommodates up to 11 guests and is less than one hour’s easy drive from Melbourne via freeway.

Guests have full access to the entire house on this 5-acre property, except:
1. The Garage and its adjoining storage room; and
2. All sheds-on-site

Strict Notice
• Pet need to be approval prior booking.
• No schoolies groups or parties.
• No smoking inside the house.
• All gates must be shut after accessed.

The property is best suited to family or friend groups. We have 3 Queen beds, 1 double/single bunks and 2 single beds. We can also add a baby cot upon prior request.

Easter family break

Great location and owner fabulous to deal with. Property needs some maintenance. Loved that there were electric blankets on all the beds. The dogs loved having the big paddock to run in.

Christmas Family Holiday

Peaceful family holiday in a country setting in the outer suburbs of Melbourne. Close to beach and shopping centres. Close to the Botanical Gardens. A Christmas tree was set up for our celebrations, which was a lovely touch. Relaxing pool, and lots to entertain the kids, with play set, cubbie house and trampoline.

The property owner was absolutely lovely and went over and above to help us. She was able to let us check in a few hours earlier than normal which was very convenient for us.

Great family holiday stay

We spent 3 days in early March 2024 at Willunga Cottage. The property was very homey and had everything you could want for a relaxed family get together. The kids spent most of their time in the pool, but there were many other things to keep them interested both inside and outside. The adults, our 2 daughters and their partners found the inside amenities comfortable and quite adequate. Lily our host was very helpful and quick to get back to us when we had a couple of questions prior to arriving. We would certainly stay at Willunga Cottage again.

Good value for money

Considering the price, it was very homey! Felt comfortable, had board games and free wifi available for the kids. The pool, being so close to the trees, it was inevitable that it’d have leaves and little bugs in there, but it would have been useful to have a cleaning net on hand so we could clean as we went, as that’s where my kids spent most of their time. Would have been nice to have had the pool yard lawn mowed, and around the deck. There were also ants in the kitchen. But these were minor details, compared to the lovely details that left us feeling welcome and at home, away from home. Thank you for a lovely weekend!
