Nihi Kai #403: Newly Remodeled in 2023, Full AC, Steps to Beach!

An ideal location in sunny Poipu Beach Kauai, Nihi Kai Villas Resort is just steps away from the Poipu shoreline and a little over five minute walk to world-famous body surfing Brennecke’s Beach and Poipu Beach Park. Unit 403 is just over 300 feet from the shore with a gorgeous view of the Pacific from the private lanai. The two bedroom, two bath condo can accommodate up to 4 people.

From 2020 onward, the condo features full house air conditioning for your comfort. From January 2023 onwards the condo has a completely brand new kitchen and living room upstairs.

The condo is fully ready for use with towels, bedding, kitchen supplies (no food of course) and a full kitchen (stove, oven, sink, fridge etc and everything you need to prepare and eat food), beach towels/chairs/toys etc. The condo has a king bed (bedroom one), two twins (bedroom two). There are two full bathrooms connected one to each bedroom. The deck/patio has a view of the palm trees and the grounds of the condo site but more importantly, the ocean! Table and chairs to sit on the deck and enjoy the breeze or dinner and the sunset. The patio table upfront can accommodate four adults for dinner.

There is a full-size washer and dryer in the unit (hallway closet off master bedroom) to freshen up your clothes or towels of the unit throughout the week. There is no daily maid service but for stays in excess of three weeks a freshen up clean will be provided mid stay, complementary. You may purchase this same service (single mid stay cleaning) for $200 on shorter stay if you wish.

The BBQ is just about 50 steps from the unit and covered so it's convenient even if it's raining a little. The BBQ is gas so you just turn a knob and soon it's hot! Most people make a trip early in the vacation to Costco or the grocery store and buy enough food for their time at the condo.

Nihi Kai, the property the condo is located on, has a gorgeous pool within steps of the ocean and tennis courts for all to use. Nihi Kai boasts a well manicured property maintained by a full time staff. We love the site because my family goes on walks together several times a day in Poipu and our condo is just steps from a number of good "starting points" for a walk.

Amazing stay

This property is wonderful the condo is week equipped and comfortable. The view and distance from the beach is amazing. Everything was just as described and we had an amazing time here. I would definitely rent this property again.

Beautiful condo, great location!

This condo had everything we needed for our stay in Poipu! It’s spacious with all the amenities you need including beach gear. The walk to Brennecke’s beach and Poipu beach was super quick and easy even with all our gear. Location is perfect. The host was super quick to respond to my questions and very accommodating. I would book again without reservation.

Family Trip

A beautiful and very clean place with a modern and fully equipped kitchen. The decor of the condo is wonderful and captures the aloha spirit of Kauai. The rental is steps away from Brennecke’s and Poipu beaches. My family and I will always remember our time spent at Nihi Kai!

Great spot!

Great spot in Poipu! Nice clean condo close to all things one needs to enjoy surf n sand. Great swimming spot a walk away. Turtles and monk seals come up everyday on the beach. Nice daily sunsets. Owner was quick to communicate with. A+++

Amazing location and property

House was very well furnished and steps to the beaches. Master bathroom shower was amazing, as were the views from the balcony. The kitchen had everything you could ask for to cook meals. And the host was super easy to work with, plus the self check in process was a breeze. Thanks also for the beach chairs, beach towels, and toys for kids!

Great location, beautiful property

This modern condo was spacious and comfortable for the four adults in our party. The interior is decorated with iconic views of Kauai, and the air conditioning and ceiling fans kept us cool. It has all the amenities of home. The grounds are beautiful and the pool steps away (no noise from the pool). The Poipu area has many great restaurants and shops, and it was central to everything on the island. The owner was very prompt answering questions. Highly recommend staying here.

Awesome location

The property location is perfect . Can see the ocean from the balcony . The house is freshly painted and has all the necessary amenities in the house. For us, one of the bedroom AC stopped working , but the fans in all rooms helped. The owner provided us info on activities and places to eat which was really helpful. Overall the owner is very helpful and responsive and the property is at a perfect location.

A perfect beach house (or condo, to be accurate)

It's something wonderful, waking up and falling asleep to the sounds of crashing surf and tropical birds (plus chickens). Staying here was definitely the right call. This home is well kept and has all the amenities to make you feel like you are at home. You may need to stop at the Koloa town market for a couple basics, but the spice cabinet is fairly well stocked. This was a wonderful place for our family.

Needs a few upgrades

The location was nice and the view was good. The condo could use some upgrades. (Second Bathroom, beds). Unfortunately, this condo is very close to the poolside restrooms… which resulted in occasional smelly conditions at the pool and on the lanai. Our condo owner was great to communicate with and is taking our concerns to heart. If you don’t plan to relax at the condo all day, this one is great for location.

Fantastic condo 1 block from the water

Steven was a great host. They had just finished a renovation, and the condo is very well appointed with all new appliances, tastefully redone, and a nice space to be in with a proper Hawaii vibe. The upper deck has ocean views and the lower lanai opens to the lawn area with direct access to the pool. Brennecke's Beach is a short 2 blocks away, where we spent most of our time in the water... best bodysurfing waves in the area. Keiki and Poipu beach (kids swimming and snorkeling, then surfing farther down) and the hotels (for outdoor lunch with ocean views) are just on the other side of grassy Poipu Beach Park. A great spot. We will be back.

Can't Wait To Go Back!

This condo was the perfect choice. Very close to the beach with a beautiful view. We were able to walk a little bit down the street and the ocean was right there. Plenty of sea turtles to look at. The beach near the condo offers something for everyone. One section was great for body boarding, another for snorkeling and yet another for just floating. Also there is a little place with a shallow area for small kids or for adults to just sit in. The condo itself was beautifully decorated and very roomy. The owner provided beach chairs, mats, and an umbrella. He was very gracious and accommodating. WE literally cannot wait to come back!

Family friendly, perfect location.

Throughout the entire process of booking this property, and during our stay, the owner, Stephen, was friendly and always accessible to answer any questions we had. Check in instructions were perfect, so accessing the property was seamless. It is a clean, warm, inviting space, with more than enough room for my family of four. The location is wonderful - close enough to the ocean that we could sit on the large balcony off the living room and listen to the waves breaking on the beach. It’s location in Poipu was central for most of our day trips out to both the western side of the island, and to the beaches and towns along the eastern shore. The complex the property sits in is also well maintained, and has tennis courts (racquets and balls provided in the condo) and a swimming pool ( a must for my aquatically driven youngest!) where my whole family would swim in the evenings. The washer & dryer in the unit is a blessing, and on one of the many lanai’s there is a chest that contains beach supplies such as chairs, boogie boards, snorkel masks, etc. We really enjoyed our stay here, and highly recommend it for anyone looking to stay in the Poipu area.

Comfortable condo close to beach

This is a nice unit in a good location close to Poipu beach. Easy to walk to beach and restaurants. Adequately stocked and comfortable beds. On the negative side, sliding glass doors and screens are in poor condition and are very hard to open, close and lock. Screens would not stay in the tracks. Also be aware of ongoing construction right in front of the unit with chain link fencing and heavy equipment right in front of the balcony. This significantly detracted from the enjoyment of the ocean view and grounds. I was told fencing would be gone well before the date of my visit but that was not the case and it doesn’t look like the work is anywhere close to completion. If views are an important factor in choice of a condo I would not recommend this one until work has been completed, otherwise you will be disappointed.

Perfect for our "Girls' Weekend"

This condo and the location could not have been better for our group. The owner Steven was very accommodating, providing us with tons of information about Poipu and the surrounding areas. Using all of his advice, we were able to go on lovely hikes and enjoy snorkeling just walking distance from the condo. The condo was spacious, airy, comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated. Loved seeing the ocean from the deck. And the large and lovely pool was just a few steps away from the condo unit. The nearby (walking distance) beaches were fantastic, and the snorkeling was fun just in front of the Marriott Hotel. Think beautiful parrot fish, rainbow fish and much more. Not as much beautiful coral, but the variety of fish made up for that! We rented snorkeling gear from the fantastic little Nukumoi Surf Co - super nice and helpful staff, and great spot for souvenirs too. We also enjoyed hanging out a Brennecke's. It's a fun, casual, open-air setting for drinks and pupus. There are two shopping areas (with more casual restaurants) just a 5 minute drive from the condo. We enjoyed the Weds night farmer's market in particular. Can't say enough good things about this condo, the owner, and the location. Highly recommend it and hope to go back!

We had an absolutely wonderful week! It was the perfect place for us to stay with our two 20-something year old sons. The condo was beautiful and fully stocked with everything that you will need for fun beach trips (two beaches within walking distance) and exploring the island. We were also impressed with the abundance of dishes, pots/pans, glassware and kitchen gadgets, coolers, beach chairs, beach towels, etc. that were available for our use. The condo manager, Stephen was extremely helpful and quick to respond to any of our questions/needs. We loved having our coffee and breakfast out on the back deck every morning, with the ocean, flora and fauna in the background. Our week in Kauai at this Nihi Kai condo was one of our favorite vacations yet! We look forward to returning some day!

Beautiful condo and great location

Loved the view from the balcony of the ocean. Great location, quiet, everything that was needed was in the condo. Kitchen stuff, beach stuff and comfortable beds. Good to have a washer and dryer. Enjoyed seeing turtles on the beach. Would definitely book this condo again.
