We’re ideally located in the heart of Poipu Beach, a vibrant resort area with a variety of restaurants, grocery stores, and shopping all within a one-mile radius. Poipu Beach, consistently ranked among the best beaches in the U.S., offers something for everyone, with designated areas for snorkeling, boogie boarding, and both beginner and intermediate surfing.

Convenient and comfortable

We had a great stay with Boutikia at Royal Palm Villa. We loved the short walks to the beaches (so key given the tight parking) hanging out on the porch amidst the trees. The open floor plan living/dining room/kitchen was really spacious, the beds comfortable and all well-appointed. Would stay again.

Amazing stay

This property is beautiful. Nestled in a gorgeous tropical garden, this place was perfect. Close walk to the beach, shops and restaurants. Couldn’t ask for anything else

Perfect location in Poipu

This was the perfect location. Very quiet but close 2 minute walk to the ocean/beach/park. Would definitely come back. The house was well stocked and very clean. Highly recommend!!!

Great stay

Great rental experience. Unit was at the back of the property with a little garden just in front of the patio. Felt very private. Stocked with beach chairs, towels, high chair, etc. Excellent location, about 6 min walk to poipu beach. Would definitely stay again.

Great location

Worked well for our family of five (one is only 3, she slept in a pack n play). Great location walking distance to poipu beach. Well equipped with boogie boards, cooler, beach towels, and beach chairs. Some of the dishes were dirty in the cabinet and the floors were sticky... paint was peeling from the bathtubs. Linens and bedding were clean. Would stay here again :)

Perfect Stay

We enjoyed our stay very much. Perfect location for Poipu beach and anything on the west side of the island. Everything was clean, instructions were simple and easy to follow, and the communication was great. Beds were comfy, kitchen had everything we needed, and the sliding glass doors allow you to feel the ocean breeze. A/C was great but we tried to use it minimally. Parking and laundry were great. Would definitely stay here again.

Comfortable

Our family enjoyed our stay. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. We really enjoyed the propane grill and the deck. Communication was very good. The laundry is in a separate place but very easy and free to use with plenty of machines for the 3 apartments. It is a very short walk to the ocean

Great location

Very clean, and 1/2 block to the beach. Not very private as the units adjacent look over the lanai. Not well stocked. Had to purchase TP and there were only one set of towels. Bed was very comfortable. Minor details since everything else about Kauai is amazing.

Perfect Hideaway

Love love love this rental property and Herb and Gale! My friend and I came to Kauai to celebrate her birthday and we stayed in the Sea Breeze unit at Hideaway Cove. Herb and Gale are so lovely and have thought of everything to make your trip special. Communication was fast, transactions were easy, and directions were clear. When we arrived, we were delighted to find a warm welcome note and fresh squeezed juice in the fridge along with some chilled glasses. The suite actually appeared better than pictured and was clean and spacious. The kitchen was well stocked and everything was in working order. The jacuzzi was amazing! The best part about Hideaway Cove was that it felt like a home away from home. I can't wait to return!

Cozy/adequate

Over-all the property met our needs, however the furniture is long overdue for an update. The sofa, was past it's prime and though it looks okay, offers no support and for older guests like myself, (74) it was difficult to get out of. The only other chair in the living area was not comfortable at all. The other issue I had with the property was the online description didn't match the actual property. We had a nice vacation though and with a few updates the property might be worth what they currently charge for it.

Quiet Poipu Retreat

My husband and I stayed here after extending our trip and we really enjoyed it. They had everything we needed and more! It's a little dated but the location is perfect! We walked down to Brennecke's for happy hour a couple times and to the ocean almost every night. The garden surrounding the apt is magical! I loved sitting on the deck while drinking my coffee and looking out the large sliding glass doors at the gorgeous foliage. The kitchen is well stocked and the dining/living room area was super comfortable to eat, work and hang out. Someone complained that it wasn't private. We found it very private! This apartment is part of a property with other apartments. We only saw a landscaper one time and another guest one time from our deck. My only complaint is that the walls are thin, so we could hear talking, showers and babies crying from the other apartments. Other than that, we had a very enjoyable stay!

Dirty!

This rental is dirty. There were food stains on the cabinets in the kitchen and stains on the curtains. Every outlet is put in upside down. Every bathroom faucet handle is broken. One bathroom handle goes all the way around and you have to find the sweet spot so it turns the water off. The bedrooms stink of musk! There was no remote for one bedroom tv. The door handle is also loose so you have to pull the handle in to lock and unlock. The only positive is the location close to Poipu Beach.

needs upgrade

the unit is of need of more kitchen utensils such as cooking skillets and griddle. The BBQ unit is poorly functioning and very corroded. We had to have property management come out and fix non-functioning air conditioners. There is no in unit instructions on how to navigate the units tv/cable options. Very poor lighting through out. Other than that everything was fine.

Staying in the midst of a tropical garden on the Garden Isle!

We don't travel very often but when we do we try to stay away from large resort facilities where you are sharing with hundreds of other folks. For our first visit to Kauai, we searched for a unit that would fit our budget (moderately priced) and our lifestyle (casual). The Royal Palms at Hideaway Cove fit the bill in every way. Air conditioning when we needed it (not very often), lovely breeze coming through the windows for sleeping at night, a full kitchen very well equipped, quiet atmosphere, free laundry facilities, and, last but not least, surrounded by the most beautiful, well maintained tropical garden. Gale and Herb, the owners/operators very obviously take pride in their property which is indeed just a very short walk to the surf. Gale was super patient and very efficient in both arranging for our planned activities and helping to make adjustments to those reservations, and Herb provided very quick responses to email queries during the booking process. The Royal Palms is just as described on the website, there were no surprises when we arrived. Our stay at Hideaway Cove made our fabulous holiday on Kauai even better!

Overall Pleased but a few issues

The space was clean, easily accessible, great instructions regarding location, rental property amenities, laundry etc. The gardens were beautiful. The beds were extremely comfortable and the property was quiet. The picture indicated a sunnier front entrance but was in fact almost constantly in the shade...we had to leave the property to enjoy any sun. A few negative comments; the dishwasher overflowed one day, we mopped it up with towels and we contacted Dale who did not consider it too urgent. That was the last time we ran it as we left the next day. We did find one cockroach in the kitchen, also the jets in the master bathroom tub did not work. Not sure if we would return to that unit because of the lack of natural light.

Quiet, efficient and relaxing stay

This property is thoughtfully equipped! And it’s indeed in “Garden Isle” with beautiful plants in front. There are beach toys and body boards in the laundry room to share. Accessing to the laundry room was never an issue. I’m sensitive to noise but didn’t feel it was a problem at all. There is a cat, seems half blind, and may be fed by the manager. There are a water tank and a food dish in front of the office, which is next to the property. However, they didn’t seem to be filled for a long time. She kept coming for food and attention. Very friendly cat. We filled the water tank and left food in the recycling can labeled “cat food”. If she ever comes around needing those, but no manager around, I hope whoever is staying will help her…

Hideaway in Poipu

This property was the right size and location for our 3 adults. The convenience of being at the beach in 5 minutes, easy access to markets, restaurants and morning walks along the ocean made our stay in Poipu just what we needed. The unit is tucked behind a 2 level condo building. It was quiet. The unit provides beach chairs, towels, coolers for taking lunch to the beach, and boogie boards if you need them. The small deck with outdoor seating was nice but we didn't use it much as very little sunshine is on that side of the building. We took advantage of the outdoor shower and the laundry(with everything you will need). The interior of the unit is a little dark for us. (Use of light colored walls and LED lighting could remedy this for the owner). Ceiling fans in every space- most of the time we didn't need A/C. The kitchen had all items needed for the limited cooking we did on this trip. We would stay here again!

Good location, good property overall but it's a little rough around the edges

This property is super close to the beach which is awesome with just a 5 minute walk away. The unit was also super quiet which was great for sleeping. This property however isn't really in great shape and could use some updating. One thing that was annoying is that we didn't get hot water for most of our showers for some reason. I assume this is because this unit is connected to the main house and the rest of the guests happened to be taking showers right before us. The bed wasn't comfortable at all and was lumpy. I actually slept on the couch once and that was a better experience. Additionally, the AC in the main bedroom doesn't work very well. When we arrived, it was hot in the house and only 12 hours later did it even get below 70 degrees. It also sprays dirt onto the bed and hasn't been cleaned in a long time. Overall, this place was a good value for what we paid but we wouldn't come back here again.

Very Nice property

We were all happy in general. The villa was stocked with some spices, lots of pots & pans, etc. Nice beds. Bathrooms didn't have blow-dryers but ours had a curling iron & straigtener. Our zacuzzi tub would have been nice but the jets did not work at all. We notified the manager & he sent someone there to fix a day or two later. He said it was fixed but it wasn't. By that time, we didn't have too much time left so just didn't have the zacuzzi. The overhead shower did work. They didn't leave the 4 of us enough toilet paper. Only 1 roll each for 9 days. We had enough towells by using the same ones over & over. We could walk to the beach but it was a little far for me only because I have a bad leg. We snorkeled on the far side of the beach and saw lots of fish. The ocean was rough & it was a little tough getting in & out of the ocean but well worth it! We saw a few turtles & one Hawaian Monk Seal, very rare. Beautiful sunsets from the beach. We also appreciated the use of a small ice chest as we bought fresh fish to cook there. There was a little cat (kind of old) with 1 good eye that we fed every day. Hope everyone that stays there will feed this very nice cat.

Wonderful!

We had a Wonderful stay at this Hidden Gem in Kauai. This Quite Getaway served as our Private detached Bungalow for 7 nights. We felt Great to return each day after our Ventures to a quick air-conditioned Charming Condo. Everything met our standards the Kitchen was well equipped. The Beds are very comfortable for us. Bathrooms were supplied with lovely towels/soaps/shampoos. We had chilled quenching guava juice & waters and bowl of lovely goodies awaiting for us when we arrived. Our very nice property manager Dan made our vacation to Kauai so welcoming. We BBQ on our Private Lanai Deck & Lovely Gorgeous Verdure Surroundings. We bought fresh caught fish each morning at the Living Foods market down the road. Also we picked up some wonderful Hawaiian Malasadas donuts at Sweet Delites Bakery. Must go early they sell out by 9am. Every day we watched the Sunrise & Sunsets at Beautiful Poipu Beach just 6 minutes walk down the road. My Husband & I are Seniors in our mid 60’s and we are very active. We had rented 2 “Eco E-bikes Kaua’i” they were delivered/picked up to our house for the week. It was a Blast to ride all over the island! Also we had a fair amount of Excitement on Our Adventures in Kauai we booked: *”Do Something Dirty~Mud Buggy” through the Hawaiian Jungle. We hit the mud puddles which was Hairraising and got covered dirt & mud, we had a wild experience. *We accomplished Zip-Lining like Superman Style, it was Thrilling~the scenery of the interior mountains unbelievable! Wish I video taped it! *We went on The BackCountry Mountain Inter-Tubing down the Sugarcane Water-Canals was a Phenomenal fun experience, we did a lot of spinning and laughing. *We did Kayaking Up the Gorgeous Wailua River and Hiking to Secret Falls & standing behind the falls was cold! The Lush Scenery was great for photos, we had a Awesome morning. Also we enjoyed the Majestic times Snorkeling and Swimming with the Turtles at Poipu Beach each day. We saw so many turtles daily resting on the beach. Their are so many Captivating Fish on the Coral Reefs to see in this Bay. It was Wonderful to have to for us to use at this Boutikia: Washer/Dryer and beach towels/cooler/beach chairs/beach umbrella/ snorkeling masks. This Royal Palm Villa was a great find on Verbo! We will return next year to have more fun on this Beautiful Garden Island. Mahalo D&J
