Family Reunion

We loved this little cottage which was quite minimalistic but suited our family group. Fantastic location, with sun pouring in and so close to the beach and the village.

Location location!

An outstanding location, with foot access to stunning Oneroa Beach just across the road and a 5 minute walk to excellent restaurants and shops. Beautiful views across the bay, from the clean, tidy, and thoughtfully fitted out character cottage. The host was excellent to deal with and very welcoming.

Waiheke cottage

A great cottage close to the village cafes and restaurants. Lovely space with ocean views. Comfortable and cosy. Great communication from owner who was helpful and friendly. Would stay again.

Short walk from town and easy to find. Beautiful views of the bay! Pull out sofa made it easy for the family of 6 to stay. No complaints, will be back 😄.

Fab location, very well appointed - we had a great time. Be good if the bathroom was more sound proof…. But a small pain point for an otherwise awesome holiday house.

Great bach close to beach and village

Clean, minimalist bach with stunning views and easy walk to the beach and Oneroa shops. Sally was easy to work with and responded quickly to my questions. Will definitely recommend and stay again. Thank you.

It was perfect for us!

We were in New Zealand for 3 weeks celebrating our son’s wedding. 7 of us stayed in the property for a weekend to do little wine tasting. We were happy there. Walking distance to ferry, shops and restaurants. Keep in mind while booking, linens are an extra cost. Make sure to book those too!

Incredible Family Vacay

We absolutely loved our stay at this gorgeous cottage with incredible views over the beach. Had everything we needed! Lovely big back yard for our kids and Cavoodle to enjoy too. We so appreciate being able to take our wee doggie on holiday so a big thank you to Sally for that. So thankful to be able to enjoy this bach. We created great family memories here and would love to return soon. Sarah, Tim, Zac, Ruby and Honey x

Disappointed

Small cottage lacking charm and needing a few basic requirements such as a waste basket in the bathroom and a curtain on the big door leading onto the patio, without which we were left with no privacy going in and out of the bathroom. A manual with information on the surrounding area and emergency phone numbers and wifi password etc would be appreciated. The walkway to the front door is constantly wet and slippery due to a leaking pipe along the wall. The bathroom basin did not drain as the plug was clogged with filth. We used the laundry basin instead. On the plus side, the bed in the main bedroom is comfortable and the view to the bay excellent.

A good place to stay stay but needs some some TLC

The location is excellent indeed. Excellent Internet connectivity, and excellent hot water pressure. Overall, facilities OK but the oven did not work, and there was no pantry of any description to store provisions in. The deck furniture was rather old and one of the sofas had some missing planks but still, the outdoors area was quite usable and nice to sit in . What was not so good was the cleanliness of the place. The kitchen cupboards smelt. There was an unpleasant odor around the sink , it was dirty around the microwave. Worse, the bedroom smelt very badly despite all my effort s to air it ... this made my stay very uncomfortable By chance, I looked under the bed - dust bunnias everywhere and lots of them. The accommodation fee does include a separate cleaning charge and a separate pay for sheets and towels per person so we expected more in this regard . The hostess was very prompt and all else was OK . We actually enjoyed our stay except for the cleanliness as above but this is serious and needs to be mentioned that is why the not so positive feedback.

Lovely stay on Waiheke. Sally was an attentive host. Location was perfect for visiting all sights of the island, beaches, restaurants, wineries. Exquisite skies from the deck.

Charming cottage close to town

We stayed at the cottage for a couple of nights, it was in a fantastic location and big enough for a small family. The this that let it down was there was a lot of gaps in the house so the mosquitos made it their home which was very disruptive to sleep. The house could benefit from some black out blinds we were all awake as soon as the sun was up as the light flooded into the rooms.

Super Cute!

Lovely home that is presented very well and well set up for a comfortable stay. Relaxed and serene outlook from deck at the rear and excellent water views from the front. Very well located for a relaxed 5min walk to the beach and village. We will return!
