We stayed a couple days for my daughter’s dance nationals. The property is perfect, super quiet road, perfect to walk our 3 dogs. The house was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. All in all we enjoyed our stay and will stay here again if we come back this way.
The oven wasn’t clean, it was infested with ants crawling on my food and other things, one bathroom couldn’t flush , and more importantly I try reaching out to the property managers listed on the paper inside the space and no one return my text or call.. The WiFi info wasn’t working I couldn’t operate the TV. I have to write the host on Vrbo to finally get a response which was too late at this point .

From the owner: Thank you for your feedback. We sincerely apologize for these issues, as this is not the typical experience for our guests. We have since performed professional pest control to address the seasonal ants and have deep-cleaned the oven. We have also repaired the bathroom plumbing to ensure all facilities are fully functional. Regarding the communication and Wi-Fi, we have updated our contact protocols and in-home instructions to ensure guests can always reach us and connect easily. We value your input and are committed to maintaining the high standards reflected in our previous 5-star reviews.
Stayed here for a weekend while we were visiting for a wedding. House is well kept and as listed. Everything is supplied to make your stay comfortable and the lake is a short walk away! Definitely would stay again!

Family visit
We chose this location because the house was close to family and we were celebrating mom’s 88th birthday. The location was very convenient and the amenities met all our needs. The beds were comfy and the bathrooms had a generous supply of towels.
Clean, quite & comfortable. We were in town for work, and this property was perfect to come home to at the end of the day and make dinner in and relax for the night.
Me and three of my colleagues stayed here for a week while we were doing a Hands-On training seminar. The beds were extremely comfortable, the kitchen was easy to use and had the right amount of supplies we needed to cook all our meals. The house was quiet and clean. The neighborhood was lovely to walk in. When we had a little issue we were able to contact the host quickly and they helped us address it. I would definitely recommend staying here!
Great location, beds are comfortable. Beautiful scenery, nice neighbors large garage. House has a nice layout. Cleanliness was lacking in this home. Had to clean upon arrival but once we did it was ok.

Peaceful Location
Clean home. Plenty of towels and amenities. Would stay here again. Price was good when compared to hotel rooms in the area. Conflicting info when trying to log onto wifi. Evolve info provided was wrong. Used info sheet left by owners in the home.
Very nice but had to travel far to get to stores. I would have gone to lake but had to go thru neighbor yard
Heard a loud dog bark but didn't want to chance how big the dog was.
If you are allergic to cats, this is not the rental for you. There was cat hair on all of the bedding. We had a member of our party that was allergic. We ended up stripping all of the bedding and washing them before using the beds.
There was also a serious ant problem in the kitchen.

Hi Gail, we want our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we apologize that you experienced some issues during your trip. We followed up with the homeowners after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
- As soon as we were notified of your concerns, we promptly visited the property, replaced all the sheets, and re-vacuumed every room. During our inspection, we didn't find any pet hair on the bedding, but we understand your concerns and took immediate action to provide the best resolution possible.
- Although it's difficult to entirely prevent the outdoors from coming inside, we investigated your concerns about ants and haven't seen any since your checkout. We ensure the property is protected from these issues with regular pest control efforts.
We work hard to provide an outstanding guest experience, and we look forward to hosting many satisfied visitors.
I unclogged vacuum so I could vacuum under couch, under couch cushions and floors. Rolled up runners because they were nasty with hair. Had to rewash counters because there was crumbs under items.
Bathrooms pretty clean minus dog hair all over
Sheets wrinkled and looked dirty. Bedding not too comfortable. Windows and mirrors dirty.
Not too many towels.
Area is beautiful. House is adorable just needs to be cleaned.

Hi Michelle, we’re so glad you enjoyed the adorable house and great location, but we’re sorry other aspects fell short of expectations. After sending your feedback to the owner, they’d like to share the following:- We apologize for any cleanliness issues you encountered during your stay. We've considered your constructive criticism and want to assure you that we're actively working to enhance our cleaning efforts for the benefit of future guests.- We take the responsibility of vacuuming upon ourselves, ensuring a thorough cleaning between guests. The vacuum cleaner found in the garage is a spare that wasn't meant for guest use.- We vacuum both sides of the five runners and air them outside monthly. Any missed dog hair should have been minimal. We also clean and sanitize the property, including the counters and bathrooms, after each departure and before new arrivals.- Our sheets are all white and washed with a detergent cube and bleach after each departure. While there may be some wrinkles at times, rest assured that the sheets and pillowcases are immaculately clean for our guests.- These four beds are of high quality and are just over a year old. While we try to accommodate all guests' comfort, mattress taste is subjective.- We clean the mirrors after each guest's checkout. The windows are cleaned monthly, and both the windows and the house are only two years old.- Your booking was made for four guests for a two-night stay. Upstairs accommodates four guests with four towels provided. Downstairs accommodates two guests with two towels included. Six backup towels are available in the primary bedroom closet if needed.- We wish you had reached out to the guest contact during your stay if there were any issues you needed to be addressed. We would have done everything we could to resolve them immediately so that you could enjoy the home.We truly go above and beyond for our guests and are confident that future guests will have excellent stays!

A nice house in a nice location. Very clean, plenty of space! The fire pit was fun! We had a deer visit our first night! As for the details, it has what you need at a basic level. Plenty of dishes, cookware, utensils, linens, etc. However, some kind of citronella candles for use on the patio would be good for summer guests. The humidity was pretty high and bugs were thick. I understand that it isn't possible to eliminate all bugs, but this would've been a nice little extra. (We did use the provided bug spray & bug light). Another nice extra would've been curtains. The shades provided did not keep the early morning sun out. Finally, clearer directions on how to get to the lake access from the house would be nice. Nothing actually states where you would go to get to the lake access. That's it! Would recommend if you want to stay in the area!
We stumbled upon this rental while frantically searching for a place to stay after a property reservation we had made month's ago fell apart at the last minute. The owners went out of their way to get the property ready so we could check in early as there were five of us with 2 pets holed up in a hotel room. This home was perfect. There was room for us all and the open floor plan on the first floor afforded plenty of family together time. We spent a lot of time sitting on the back deck just soaking in the peace and quiet-just what you need on vacation. We were entertained by the hummingbirds that flitted among the many honeysuckle plants bordering the property. We enjoyed cooking on the grill (charcoal provided) The owners thought of everything-right down to a gate to keep doggo on the deck with us and a tie out to let her out in the yard without worry-that she'd get lost chasing the bunnies that loved to dart in and out of the tree line. The private beach was a short walk through the neighbors yard and offered a sandy shore. The state park property is very close by where the dogs can swim or you can put a boat in for some fishing. All in all we had a relaxing comfortable stay and would definitely come back.
We enjoyed our stay at this clean, comfortable home in CT! Our family was visiting the area to go to the Dinosaur Place at Nature’s Art Village (about 20 minutes away by car) and enjoy some quiet down time together. We went to the nearby private beach too, it’s a short walk away through either the neighbor’s yard or on the road, less than five minutes if you drive but there’s not much parking over there. The house is spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The backyard is private and we enjoyed eating dinner on the back deck.
