Welcome to our charming lake-house in the heart of Amston, CT! This cozy retreat is perfect for a peaceful getaway, with friends or family. The house offers a comfortable interior for essential living space, but the house also offers a beautiful screened in porch, which includes a sectional and porch swing where you can enjoy the atmosphere of the outdoors without the outdoor pests. The house also has a fantastic fire-pit, which can be used by guests. Firewood will also be available on premises. The house is very close to the lake and offers exclusive lake access with parking passes also included. Spend your days swimming, building sand castles, playing volleyball, or simply basking in the beauty of the lake. Whether you’re looking for adventure or relaxation, this hidden gem is the perfect retreat!
This house is one of the best I have to offer, as it's truly a relaxing getaway! One thing I did want to mention, is that unfortunately, many cell phone carriers offer a weak signal in this area if you're not connected to Wi-Fi. The house does have Wi-Fi, but you should expect your cell phone to have a weak signal outside of the houses Wi-Fi network. I actually feel it helps you truly unplug and spend time with friends and family, but I do like to mention as a caution.

Lovely cottage, immaculate, peaceful and beautifully appointed. It worked perfectly for us along with our son, DIL and their baby. Very cute little place!

Love that you guys had a great time, Janet! It was a pleasure hosting you. Please come visit us again! : )
This property was picture perfect. The host also was easy to communicate with to coordinate my stay. If you are looking for a perfect place, this is it.
The house is so beautiful and gorgeous, it has everything you need that you can imagine. We stayed for a parents gateway and we had a good time, the fire pit in the back is nice at night and even the wood is provided. We had a wine bottle and we forgot the wine opener and when we checked they had one there. It was so impressive clean and neat really beautiful. It has two rooms upstairs but we didn’t slept on those but in a next time we wanna go with the girls and I know they gonna like it. We walked to the lake it took us less than 10 minutes. And in the back porch you will have everything to have a good time at the lake, chairs and everything for the kids too. 10/10

Thanks so much, Bryan! We definitely try to give a wonderful experience so glad you guys had a great time! We'd love to have you back again, anytime!! : )
We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely recommend this home to anyone visiting the area. The house was spotless, beautifully updated, and had everything we could possibly need and more. It was clear that a lot of thought went into making guests feel comfortable. We had one small hiccup when we arrived because the door code wasn't working, but the host was incredibly responsive. Communication was excellent, and the issue was resolved almost immediately, so it didn't impact our stay at all.Our kids especially loved the bedroom with the three twin beds, and the selection of games was such a thoughtful touch. We had a couple of rainy days during our trip, and having games available kept everyone entertained.Overall, it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. We would happily stay here again the next time we're in the area.
My husband and I stayed for a short trip at The Highland House. It was just as the pictures show- very clean, bright,
and inviting upon entrance.
The house was adorably decorated. The kitchen had all the small appliances you could need, and top notch major appliances.
The back deck is so inviting with views of the tall trees- fall colors were beautiful! I spent a lot of time on the boho swing on the back deck. Loved it!
The area was mostly quiet- with a little bit of typical neighborhood noise- dogs, lawn mowers, but that was OK bc it felt like you lived there.
Lastly, David was great with communications- we texted back and forth a couple times and he always responded quickly.
We loved every bit of this area and house- it was so relaxing! I wish we had stayed longer!
