About this property
Perfect for Two Couples with Two King Suites, a Hot Tub + Pool Table
It’s tough to say what you’ll love most about Trail’s End, our 2-bedroom cabin in Gatlinburg’s Black Bear Falls community. Maybe it's the stunning views of the Great Smoky Mountains, which you can enjoy from the deck’s hot tub. Or maybe the convenient location—quiet and peaceful among the hills, yet just 5 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg. Or perhaps, it’s the fact that the cabin can sleep up to 8 people. Or it’s the pool table, or the rustic yet sophisticated furnishing…
Let’s start our tour of Trail’s End on the lower of its 2 floors. Here’s where you’ll find the game room, the centerpiece of which is a handsome billiard table. You don’t have to enjoy pool to love this space, though. It’s wonderfully roomy, which makes it a fun spot to play with the kids, and includes a flat-panel TV, French doors that open onto a deck, and a roll-arm sofa that pulls out to become a bed for 2. The sofa in the living room above converts into a bed for 2 as well. Since each floor also has a primary bedroom and a full bathroom, that means 2 families can comfortably vacation together in the cabin.
The lower-level bedroom, just like the bedroom upstairs, is furnished in charming cabin style and utter comfort. The king-size beds in both bedrooms are so luxe, you may find yourself nesting under the blankets much longer than you’d anticipated. Go right ahead—you’re on vacation after all! Prop yourself up on the ample pillows and watch a favorite show on the flat-screen TV, catch up on your reading, or take advantage of the free WiFi to map out your activities for the day.
The upper level is the heart of the cabin, with the open living/dining/kitchen area. In winter the gas fireplace will cast a golden glow on the burnished wood floor, walls, and cathedral ceiling; in summer the ceiling fan will heighten the breeze coming in through the French doors that open onto the deck. And any time of year is a good one for gathering everyone together to watch a movie on the flat-panel TV or play Monopoly on the large coffee table.
Because Trail’s End is so close to downtown Gatlinburg, you’ll have a wealth of restaurants just beyond your doorstep. But sometimes it’s even more fun to eat at home! The roomy dining table seats 6 with ease and is situated by the French doors, so you can look out at the mountains while you dine. Just as important, the fully equipped kitchen has all the appliances, cookware, and tableware you need to prepare a holiday feast for family and friends or simply heat up leftovers from the previous night’s doggy bag. Alternatively, you can barbecue dinner outdoors on the charcoal grill.
After dinner—or before, or late at night, or first thing in the morning—step out onto the deck, kick back on the rockers or the porch swing, and soak up the view and the sounds of the birds singing and the breeze rustling through the trees. For the ultimate treat, step into the deck’s hot tub. There’s nothing like gazing up at the twinkling stars or the sun-dappled leaves from its steamy, pulsating comfort. Should you prefer a little private time, you can retreat to the jetted tub in the main floor bedroom—just what your tired muscles will want after a day of hiking, snowboarding, or chasing the little ones around Dollywood.
Because Trail’s End is part of the Black Bear Falls community, in the summer you’ll have free access to its 2 heated swimming pools, one for kids and one for adults. Anytime of year, however, the cabin’s proximity to the area’s attractions is a major benefit. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the Gatlinburg Arts and Crafts Loop, and Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park and Ski Area are just a few of the must-visits that are mere minutes away.
There’s only one drawback to staying at Trail’s End: You may never want to leave! See for yourself; book your stay today.
