The booking is for the whole of the house. A quiet, retreat. Central in the north to beaches and situated on a hill with a view of distance sea. Only 12 minutes away from the service town of Kaitaia. The road is a gravel-road.It’s a great stop off place to visit the north cape. No parties please. Just socialise amongst your immediate family and guests. I live out the back in a self contained barn shed.

Really fun venue. Great spot - so peaceful, with lots of wildlife around. The host waa really welcoming and helpful. The house was spacious, warm and well equipped. Would love to stay again.
Beautiful log cabin, minutes away from Kaitaia Town center
Peaceful log cabin, centrally located for exploring Northland. Loved our stay. Lynda was a courteous host and very pleasant to deal with. Well catered amenities.
Had a wonderful holiday.
It was beautiful for its isolation and views. Gravel roads, a little musty at first, but aired out fine. The hostess was very gracious and easy to work with when we wanted to use her flowers and ferns for making lei and bouquet. We enjoyed out stay.
We absolutely enjoyed our stay at the Log house! We were surprised it managed to sleep all 12 of us in the whare. The views were amazing, the nature, cows and sheep you could see from the balcony. Host had provided us with heaps of towels, extra blankets and an extra couch for my big family. Would suggest taking a car good for gravel and stone roads as it's like that all the way to the house but it's soo worth it! Communication with the host has made this trip so much easier! would go again.

Log house stay
House is in a beautiful location with beautiful views. The house is unique, an interesting design, and the host was friendly and accomodating. However the house is quite musty in side and the furniture seriously needs updating, with sofa springs sticking out like they it come from an op shop. All the bathrooms and kitchen need upgrades and we found the house very expensive for the quality of the property. Despite this we did enjoy the location.

Thank you for your review. I will let the old chairs go as they were old family chairs that have done their time. Will look into updates.
A great base for exploring the far north. Big house with plenty of room, probably suitable for 2 families traveling together.
Host was friendly and welcoming. They live on the same site but are not intrusive at all.
The kids thought it was the best place we have ever stayed in.
