About this property
Gorgeous Lakefront Log Home w/ Pool & Boat Dock on 3 Fenced Acres! Dogs Welcomed
This exceptionally clean and beautiful lakefront log home, a Chalet more than a cabin, on year-round deep water is perfect for your next vacation and family gathering. The spacious yet cozy 2900+ Square Foot home is situated on a bluff overlooking the main channel of Watts Bar Lake and the Tennessee River. The views from the house, pool, two story dock and numerous decks surrounding the house are spectacular! The three-acre fenced, cross fenced and gated, wooded lot provides a feeling of privacy and seclusion yet is only minutes from the city. Fabulous shopping and dining at Turkey Creek in west Knoxville are only 25 minutes away.
The screened-in porch is everyone's favorite spot to unwind after a day on the lake. Watch boats go up and down the lake or sit and listen to storms blow through the area while staying dry. Cocktails and snacks are never interrupted by bugs as the porch is fully screened and has fans to keep the air moving.
The master suite has a king-sized bed with a new Tuft & Needle mattress, whirlpool bath and adjoins the screened-in porch. The guest suite has a fabulous 4-poster queen bed and expansive views of the lake. The third bedroom overlooks the pool and lake and has a deluxe queen bed, 2 twin beds and 2 new Spa Sensation queen mattresses. This room has a SmartTV with cable and a pool table. The fourth bedroom has a queen memory foam bed a SmartTV and separate A/C unit for comfort.
The Great Room has a large stone fireplace and a large flat screen SmartTV with premium channels. The Netflix App is also available as well as Xfinity's Streampix video library. It also has a DVD player attached to the entertainment system. Wi-Fi is available on all floors and from every room with good cell phone coverage throughout if you use AT&T or Verizon network.
The deep water, two level dock with year-round water on 39,000 acre Watts Bar Lake is the perfect access for all types of water sports and some of the best fishing in East Tennessee. And with over 400 feet of waterfront, you will have plenty of quiet time down at the dock. The top level of the dock is great for hanging out with family or just enjoying the sun and the views.
From the decks, you will get 180-degree views of Watts Bar Lake comprising a portion of the Tennessee River. You will see barges float by on their way to Knoxville and Chattanooga or a fleet of boats heading to a Vols football games at Neyland Stadium in the Fall.
The pool is open from late April or early May where it gets plenty of day time sun to warm up quickly until late September when the weather is still warm enough to enjoy a dip in the pool with spectacular views of the lake all year around.
Watts Bar Lake consists of over 770 miles of shoreline to explore along with 14 islands and several places to cliff dive from over 80 feet high. The lake extends over 72 miles from the Watts Bar Dam up to Ft. Loudon Dam with the maximum depth of 70 feet typically found around the dam.
As part of the Tennessee Riverline 652 pilot program... Roane County and the surrounding communities including Harriman, Mid-Town, Rockwood and Kingston are all part of the Tennessee vision for a continuous system of hiking, biking, and on-water experiences along the 652-mile reach of the Tennessee River from Knoxville, TN, to Paducah, KY.
Castleton Farms and Whitestone Country Inn are two beautiful wedding venues and less than 30 minutes away from the home. A new wedding venue within the Harriman area, Manor at Stowers Hill is only 13 minutes from the home. Several of our guests have had their bridesmaids’ readiness parties at the home with plenty of room for everyone to dress to get ready for the big day with many beautiful gathering areas with amazing backdrops for pictures.
Frozen Head State Park, Ozone Falls and Big South Fork National Recreation Area are both very close by, a little over 30 minutes away and beautiful for hiking and other outdoor activities. Windrock Off Road Park is only 35 minutes away with over 300 miles of off road trails within a 72,000-acre park.
Several marinas rent pontoon boats with the closest being Caney Creek Marina only 10 minutes away with some of the best boat rentals on the lake. There is a boat ramp nearby as well if you bring your own boat with room for a boat in the slip and a boat on the side of the dock. Plenty of parking spaces available on the property to park your trailer(s) and to park several cars. We also have added a connection for your Tesla and other electric vehicles charged during your stay at the home.
Minimum age for renters is 26 years of age.

I have always enjoyed the Smoky Mountains with hiking and fishing and all of the outdoor activities that the areas surrounding the mountains have to offer.
Being able to retire on one of the East Tennessee lakes has always been a goal of mine, and finding this property with this beautiful home has certainly been amazing.

Why they chose this property
I decided to purchase the home in September 2016 after making a visit to Watts Bar and falling in love with the home and the property. I was lucky enough to continue to work with the previous owner to help manage the property and work with the same group of people she has worked with since 2009 using HomeAway/VRBO with a 4.5+ rating.
When you drive through the gate and up the driveway you really get a sense of privacy and serenity with all of the trees and the gorgeous views from the top of the bluff. We had two of our dogs out there in the Spring and they really enjoyed being able to roam around the yard without any concerns over them escaping since the property is fenced on all 4 sides. The dock is great as it has a place above the boat lift to hang out and enjoy the lake and relax or sunbathe with a ton of privacy at the shoreline.

What makes this property unique
Privacy is one of my favorite amenities about the home and its location. There is a definite feel like you are in your own world but know you are still only minutes away from the grocery store, shopping and restaurants.
The screened in porch just outside of the master bedroom is one of the favorite places to hang out for most of our visitors. When thunderstorms blow through the area you can sit and watch the sky light up the lake and listen to the falling rain in the comfort of the enclosed room.
Year round deep water dock close to great fishing holes even from a kayak.
