This 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, ski-in, ski-out condo is the ultimate Mammoth

vacation rental experience. A beautiful 5-star condo decorated with great

local photography, also has a large and comfortable sectional sofa, large flat

screen TV, cozy gas fireplace, and dining area with seating for up to 6. The

well appointed master bedroom has a King bed and TV, private master bathroom

and plenty of storage space. The second bedroom also comes with a King bed and

TV and separate bathroom. Both spacious bathrooms and the full Kitchen feature

granite counter tops and tile floors. The full Kitchen has all the appliances

and amenities for a home cooked meal. All guests receive complimentary full

access to Snowcreek Athletic Club to enjoy facilities including indoor heated

pool, steam/sauna, full fitness facility, yoga, pilates and cycle studio and

more. There are no stairs to this Mammoth vacation rental condo, no stairs

inside and it sleeps a maximum of 6 people. Sunstone Lodge at Juniper Springs

Resort is Mammoth's true ski-in, ski-out destination lodge, featuring

underground heated parking, a fitness center, laundry, both an outdoor jacuzzi

and year-round heated pool and the convenience of ski-in, ski-out luxury.

Guest lockers are located right next to the slopes. It doesn't get any better

than this. This condo sleeps a maximum of 6 people and comes with underground,

heated garage parking for one vehicle (garage clearance is 8' 2"). Guests will

be provided one parking pass. If more parking is required than what is

allotted, feel free to call our office for alternative options. This unit is

non-smoking and no pets are permitted. Our calendar is updated in real time.

Nice place to stay.

Everything was as advertised. The unit was well appointed and supplied. We particularly like the easy access with elevator and cart to carry our luggage. The location was perfect for our activities, fishing and a visit to Devil's Postpile.

Everything about this location was excellent. The location (we literally snowboarded from Eagle to the entrance of the pool, unreal), the appointments, the easy check-in/out, the heated pool and hot tub. Everything.

Beautiful and Comfortable

I loved this condo! It was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked and convenient to use. There wasn’t much a view from my room, but there was an amazing view from the hearth. We did get to see a deer outside of room which was nice. There was WiFi available which was very convenient. Plenty of electrical outlets to plug in devices. The entire hotel was kept clean at all times. The only negative about the condo were the locks on the patio door were kind of confusing to use. No A/C (we stayed in the summer), but we left the windows open and that seemed to be good enough to keep us comfortable. Also, the complementary gym wasn’t too far away and was surprisingly well equipped.

Great location, some major downsides

The location of this property is it's obvious draw. Sunstone sits above the chair lift, so grab your gear from the guest lockers and ski down to Little Eagle! The pool and spa are warm and beckoning apres ski. It's mostly clean and comfortable, but there are some downsides. The rooms are smaller than we thought they would be and the living room is a little cramped and awkward. Major downside: No housekeeping service! At these rates, housekeeping service should be provided. You are expected to take out your own trash, clean the counters, clean the appliances, and you don't get fresh towels or freshly made beds. We stayed for four days and had a baby with us, so this meant lots of trash runs and lots of cleaning up. This is not something you want to spend your time doing on vacation and shouldn't have to at the rates that they are charging. One of our sink stoppers was broken and the sink wouldn't drain. We called maintenance but no one showed up to fix it, so my husband had to get it working, yet another fun chore while paying high rates and on vacation! Good luck ever finding a staffer onsite here, it's basically devoid of any type of service. The final straw: You are required to leave by 10a.m., no exceptions, and our keys were locked out at 9:45a.m. while we were still loading out!

Great ski-in/ski-out location

Nothing beats this location for convenience and proximity to Mammoth mountain. The ski lockers make everything super easy, and you can literally walk out the door, put on your skis or snowboard and ski down the mountain to the lift. We ended up skiing back for lunch every day, which was great. It's also 6 min from town, so very easy to grab supplies or food. I loved being on the first floor, with easy access to the lockers, laundry and jacuzzi. The website photos were accurate. I liked that the condo had two king beds and not just twin or bunk beds in the second bedroom. There are very few supplies (only salt, pepper, and a few spices, 4 dinner plates, 4 glasses, 2 pots, etc), so I would highly recommend bringing anything you think you might need for cooking. My only complaint would be the WiFi, which was truly terrible. It is not secure and shared with the entire building. It was not strong enough to stream a movie, send videos, or download a book for the drive, but was adequate to check email. All in all, it was a perfect spot, and we will definitely be back.

The "Late/Great" Fire Alarm Trip

Except for the "Sunstone" alarm system going off at 3 am the 2nd night (4x for total of nearly 30 minutes), the stay was great! Got to meet all of the guests in the halls, lobby and parking structure. Staff did a great job clearing snow after major snow event, once the snowplows made it and allowed staff to get there. Still my favorite place to stay in Mammoth as long as Eagle Lodge is open.

This unit is showing great wear. Broken window shade slat, the couch is terribly worn and the toilet was leaky. Leak was fixed quickly, however, was not entirely confident my concern was given urgency by customer service. LOVE the location and Sunstone in general, but this unit is showing too much wear. Also, got an awful sewage smell occassionally from the master bath- must be a leak somewhere-yuck!

Our Second Time at Sunstone

This is a great location when the snow is falling. Ski right up to the gate and store your skis in a locker 10 steps away. The rooms are small and the kitchen is small, but 2 couples or 3 guys can enjoy very a comfortable stay. We loved the underground parking, the spacious hot tub and heated pool. I look forward to staying here again!

Have stayed in condo before. Pro's location and decor in the living room. Con's are checkout time (access to the parking garage) if you book through the hotel it's 2:00 as opposed to 11. Would recommend someone book directly through juniper springs next time to avoid this and also get maid service. Pillows were not very clean and if you wanted extra ones from the closet there were no pillow cases. Good was left in the fridge from prior occupant when we checked in. Having to return the keys to the property management firm. Should be able to leave on site.

It was nice, just as stated in the description. I wish there was air conditioning but most properties do not have air coniditioning. But if there was a screen on the balcony door, it would have been easier to leave the fan in the door without bugs coming in.

Great location...BUT

We enjoyed our stay. However, this unit needs some attention. The mattress in the master bedroom is atrocious and needs to be replaced asap. It's simply not acceptable for a unit of this caliber and for the price I paid to stay during the holidays. The mattress in the 2nd bedroom is better. Also, the bedding in both bedrooms including the pillows needs a thorough washing. They did not smell very good. Better yet, just replace them...the amount of $$ I paid for four nights during the holidays should more than pay for these changes so you can more truthfully market this unit "five star".

Great getaway

It was perfect, the trolley picked us up right down the street so that was a plus. I can't say anything bad about it, it was very clean and comfortable, the only thing they could add to the condo to make it a little more comfortable in the summer is maybe some ceiling fans. Since the sun was on that side in the afternoon the condo warmed up,so if you were gone all day no it was closed up it took awhile to cool down. I would love to stay there again it was a wonderful experience.

Great place to stay!

Remember this is a the beds are meant to last...they are hard, hard, hard. The sectional is tired and needs to be replaced...but it's a sectional....if I owned it, it would be gone...cushions torn. The unit is on the main the family of elephants renting above were stomping whenever they walked. Stayed at the Westin for more and yes the beds are heavenly there. :-)stayed at the Sierra Lodge...gross, old,paper thin walls, small and full of party animals...

Thanks to Ms. Tinker for allowing us to check out 2 hours later than normal. Lock box to get key was a little difficult - we were not the only ones to have a problem - we had to get help for another guest who was checking in and couldn't crack the code for the lockbox. Our stay was outstanding in all respects. Thanks

Very satisfied first time customer

We were very happy with our condo. The space was clean, updated and looked exactly like it does in the pictures. The only disappointment was that there was no wifi in the room. We had to go to the lounge to connect or use a cable system that we could not find. Our keys failed after two days but were promptly replaced by the management team. Overall we would stay here again and would recommend it to our friends.

We had to use the plunger multiple times on both toilets throughout our stay, but always resolved with plunger. Otherwise, the unit was great, as was Sunstone in general.

True Ski-in/Ski-Out location. Lockers available for skis/Boards however they are small. This unit comfortably accommodates 4 adults and should offer multiple locks for multiple lockers. Also no bedding was provided for the pullout in Living room. Otherwise great location and unit-thanks for the fun-

It was a very clean and perfectly located unit, having same floor access to the heated pool and spa. The early May prices were too good to pass up. I had no interaction with property management personnel (after hours check in was easy though and key drop off the same).

Loved the layout of this rental! The ONLY negative thing I can say about this is it was very hot in needs a/c. Other people we met at the pool said the same thing about their condos....
