Scandinavian Lodge is a tranquil Steamboat vacation rental location, nestled in the woods, mid-mountain at Steamboat Resort. This 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo overlooks Routt National Forest and is ideally situated a mere 100 yards away from Thunderhead lift. Skip the gondola line and enjoy the quickest access to the slopes, immediate access to hiking and biking trails, . 



The Scandinavian Lodge is family-oriented setting and boasts a heated outdoor pool (kept at 90 degrees) with indoor entry, 8-person hot tub, sauna, community BBQ grill, indoor ski lockers and relaxing evenings in the woods.



Scandinavian Lodge 302 is a corner unit located on the top-floor. This family-oriented residence boasts quieter evenings, 2 private balconies, and a flood of natural light, complimenting the spacious interior. 



The open living area features a beautifully updated kitchen including stone counters, stainless steel appliances and stunning wood cabinetry. It is fully equipped with everything you would need for staying in and cooking a meal. A gorgeous dining table offers seating for 6.



Kick back and relax on the sofa or large chair and watch the flat screen TV or warm up by the toasty gas fireplace. Access the balcony overlooking National Forest and enjoy your beverage of choice in the serene surroundings.



The sofa pulls out to a queen sleeper.



The Master suite includes a king bed, flat screen TV, full bathroom with a tub/shower combo and lots of storage.

The second bedroom offers to two twin beds (that can be pushed together to make a king upon request), a TV, lots of storage and access to another balcony overlooking the forest.



There is another full bathroom with a tub/shower combo in the hallway.



There is a washer and dryer in the unit for your convenience.



A true woods location yet so close to the summer and winter recreation, along with updated interiors makes Scandinavian Lodge 302 the perfect mountain escape.

Originally started as a summer resort destination, Steamboat has become renowned for its world-class skiing and mountain biking options. And your Steamboat vacation rental will put your family in the middle of it all.



Winter activities include skiing, snowmobiling, snowboarding, biking, sledding and fishing. The city houses two ski areas – Steamboat and Howelsen Hill, Colorado's oldest continuously operated ski area. Or simply play in the smooth, dry snow, referred to as Champagne Powder, for which Steamboat is known.



Mountain biking is huge in Steamboat. Known as Bike Town USA, the city has trails for all ages and skill levels. Hundreds of miles of single track, as well as over 50 miles of downhill and freeride terrain.

Great Ski Retreat!

The Scandinavian Lodge was fantastic! You can’t beat the location to the mountain, the condo was well stocked with kitchen supplies, extra bedding, etc. The heated pool and hot tub were great after a long day of skiing and the shuttle service to the mountain and town made getting around with our group a breeze. We would definitely stay here again!

The place was just a few min walk to the ski lift which is far away from the crowded base. So got to skiing right away with no waiting in long lines. The place has everything you need and more. We had a great time

We loved our stay at this condo! It located very close to the Thunderhead lift, and gives access to lots of the trails on the mountain - hiking and biking both, with was great for us. It is very well-kept, with beautiful gas fireplace. When we checked out we forgot travel toiletries bag, we reached out and they shipped it back to us same day.

This was our first time trying the Scandinavian Lodge. We'd definitely go back! We found the short 5-min walk to/from Thunderhead Lift to be relatively painless. (There is reportedly a ski-out option but we never conclusively found it, and besides it would take you down to the base, which Thunderhead bypasses.) It was also our first time booking through iTrip and it was great - they responded to texts quickly, and the one time I called with a Steamboat-specific question, the person (Jason?) was knowledgable. We were allowed a 1-hour delay on our check-out, which was nice. No problems with the booking at all. The Scandinavian Lodge is in a peaceful, residential area. You definitely need a 4WD or AWD to access it (we had 18 inches snow in one day). It's not a late-night/party kind of place, but we had friendly conversations with people we met at the pool and grill area. Loved the dry sauna. If you have very young kids who are new skiiers and can't carry their own gear up and down stairs (no elevator), I'd recommend being closer to the base for lessons and easier maneuvering. We were traveling with our two college-aged kids and it was a perfect situation.

Terrific Condo Near Thunderhead Lift

This two bedroom, two bath condo unit is in very good shape and well equipped. Property management folks were very responsive to any questions, and it was very clean. The walk to the base of the thunderhead lift my was 100 yards, which was not a problem at all. Overall, it’s an outstanding value.

What a beautiful location up in the mountains! Plenty of room for our family of 4. Everything we needed was there. Only downside was, we stayed in august and it was very hot outside in the evenings and the window unit was only able to keep the living room cool. The bedrooms were very warm despite having the windows open. Other than that we loved it and would definitely stay here again!

It is a great unit and was very comfortable for our family. The unit is in great condition and super convenient (a short walk) to the Thunderhead lift or an easy downhill trail ski to a close run. Really like the location and general seclusion that it offers. The pool and hot tub was particularly great to have as an amenity. I lost the passcode to the pool and called after hours and was immediately provided with the info. Great service!

Things you should know

Property is 10 minutes up a winding road from the ski area base. Built in the 70's, 3 flights of narrow stairs (think luggage and groceries), no air conditioning, on the street, and balconies over the parking lot. Hot if you are there in the summertime. No sleeping in because traffic and parking lot noise starts at 6am. Otherwise, beds comfortable enough, kitchen nice. Best part was the water pressure in the shower!

Scandinavian lodge 302 steamboat springs

We had a wonderful time staying with itrip! We frequently travel and choose this style of lodging over hotels for our young family of 5. Unlike most places, there was ample supplies with itrip specifically in regards to laundering and dishwashing, toiletries, and bath hygiene. The beds were all comfortable and there was plenty of bedding and towels. The lodge itself is quaint and peaceful and we thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and pool. It was a bit more of a walk to the thunderhead express life than we anticipated especially with a Two year old but the weather and scenery was fantastic and we all enjoyed the exercise and fresh air. Whenever communication was required it was prompt from itrip. We will definitely utilize their site in the future for our travel needs and would definitely book the Scandinavian lodge again when in steamboat springs.
