Decorated in soothing designer colors with a coastal feel, the unit has a bedroom with a comfortable king size bed, flat screen TV and private bathroom; two bunk beds in a hallway alcove, a 2nd bathroom with shower, and open concept full size kitchen with all new full size stainless steel appliances, dining area and living room with a sleeper sofa..

Located right on the beach, this spacious one bedroom two bath condo has breathtaking Gulf views, updated floors and appliances and sleeps six. Decorated in soothing designer colors with a coastal feel, the unit has a bedroom with a comfortable king size bed, flat screen TV and private bathroom with shower/tub; two bunk beds in a hallway alcove, a 2nd bathroom with shower, and open concept full size kitchen with all new full size stainless steel appliances, dining area and living room with a sleeper sofa. Being on the 9th floor means you have fabulous unobstructed views of the Gulf for miles!

We've equipped the bathrooms with new fluffy white towels and high end eco-friendly toiletries, including lotion. All mattresses are fully encased in bed bug proof covers. In addition to a coffee maker, blender and toaster, the kitchen has all the basics you need to whip up family favorite recipes or a romantic dinner on the balcony. The living room is a great place to entertain with comfortable seating and a large flat screen TV. The balcony is a perfect spot to watch the sunrise over a cup a coffee or watch it set with a glass of wine while listening to the soothing ocean waves. Plus, you'll have access to all of Pelican Beach Resort's numerous amenities that include an outdoor swimming pool, indoor/outdoor swimming pool, hot tub, tennis courts, workout facilities, tiki bar, coin operated laundry facilities on each floor, and the private white sand beach! Perfect for families, couples, or business travelers - Pelican Beach Resort is ideally located right on the beach and is close to numerous shops, restaurants, spas and water parks so anything you want is just minutes away making this the perfect destination for your dream beach vacation!

You'll have access to all of Pelican Beach Resort's numerous amenities that include outdoor swimming pool, kiddies pool, indoor-outdoor heated swimming pool, hot tub, tennis courts, video game room, workout facilities, tiki bar, coin operated laundry facilities on each floor, and the private white sand beach!

Pelican beach resort is a smoke-free environment.

Awesome vacation spot!

This is mine and my husband’s second time to stay in this condo. It is always very nice and clean. I love it because it’s right on the beach, has a beautiful view, and is in the center of everything. There are lots of nearby restaurants to eat at and the shopping mall is nearby as well. The owner is really nice too and easy to get in touch with should you need anything. I would definitely recommend!

Dolphins, Tiki Bar and Easy Beach Access!

This was SUCH a great place to stay in Destin! The place was a lot bigger than it looked in the pictures. The view is incredible with dolphins swimming daily in view off our balcony, and the kitchen/bathrooms and rooms were super clean. The only unfortunate parts 1) two out of the four of the elevators didn’t work, 2) the hot tub was busy at all hours (and over capacity), and 3) not a lot of restaurants in walking distance. We would definitely stay again at this condo though overall!

This view is absolutely AMAZING! It was clean and beautifully decorated! It was missing some amenities that I expected to be there such as tin foil/ saran wrap, beach towels, toilet paper holder in the main bathroom was gone, lightbulb in the hallway was out. The directions say to get a Visitors Pass @ the gate when you check in but that had to be done @ the front desk. Parking was not plentiful. Other than these few minor things, the place was great!

We enjoyed our stay. Management effectively communicated and helped us promptly with anything we needed. Rated a 4, as the beach front experience was not what we were anticipating. Wish the listing had prompted us to call ahead to book chair rentals for the beach. The front row was booked out for weeks. We were offered chairs four rows back for 25. Ended up putting some towels behind them as you can not set up in front of the chairs. Over all we appreciated the stay, facility, and the centralized location. The on site cafe and bar was fantastic, and the pools were family friendly/ spacious. Property was kept very clean.

Nice condo, gorgeous views, but NOT a family friendly beach

This was our first family trip to Destin. So I will start with some of the good memories. The white sand and turquoise waters are absolutely beautiful. The area has many attractions, shops, and recreational things to do. If you can't find somewhere to eat nearby, you must not be hungry. Overall the area offers many attributes to make this a great place to vacation. Now to the not so good. As much as we loved the condo, the views, and the hospitality the condo owner gave us, the Pelican Beach Resort apparently has policies that dictate where you may or may not set up your beach chairs and things. We booked this resort over many others available, because we (being a group of 4 families with 16 young children), wanted to have easy access to the beach. Well come to find out, even though it was only a quick elevator ride down to the beach, upon arrival you find rows of umbrellas and lounge chairs sitting at the waterfront. First thought was maybe we were too late setting up and didn't get our choice. So the next day we get up at 6:30 to set up an area on the beach. Once again, we see men setting up the beach service chairs and umbrellas at the waterfront, causing us to set up 20 yards away from the water. Once seeing a pattern of this, we just had to ask what is going on. Well to make a long story short, the Pelican Beach Resort has decided to "Commercialize" their beach. They have given the right of access to a beach service company that, depending on the day, will use anywhere from 1/4 to 1/2 of the beach in front of the Pelican. So if you have small children like we do, you can't see them by the water because of so many umbrellas and chairs in front of you. The condo buildings also on the left and right of the Pelican have security personnel and chains in place to make sure you don't wander onto their "property". It seemed much different compared to other areas in both Florida and Alabama we've been too. So to sum it up, if you are looking for a resort for a great beach access and waterfront, you may want to look into their beach policies before booking.

Unfortunately, in your case, something failed. I want to clarify that there are NO restrictions where our guests can place their beach chairs in our property. The beach setup policy is limited to placement of beach umbrellas. The motivation for this policy is safety concerns and it was established based on last years’ experiences and guest’s comments. Our management continuously collects guest feedback and makes the necessary adjustments. I forwarded your comment directly to them, and they have taken steps to notify the beach service company so that their communication to the guests should be clear. Pelican Beach Resort is one of the most popular destinations in Destin. The management works hard to improve the guest experience further. They are currently working on super exciting projects that will make the Pelican Beach Resort the destination of choice for everyone. Nice property with the perfect view

Really liked the view and the easy beach access. The host is very interactive and prompt in communicating. The condo was clean and well stocked.
