Sit on the deck and watch the river flow as you sip locally made coffee or taste the local breweries craft beer. Catch a glimpse of the wildlife, bear, dear, eagles and otters across the river. Bring your binoculars. Sit on the deck and enjoy the propane fire pit and watch the river flow by. enjoy the peacefulness of the woods and wake up to the birds singing around you. Sleep comfortably in the heated cabin with handmade wool filled pillows and duvet. The space suits 2 adults. This is Glamping at its finest!

Trains
Trains in the Fraser Canyon are part of what makes the region so unique and leads to so much of the history of the area. They still play an integral role in transporting goods through our province and across the nation. Train whistles are employed at crossings and can be heard throughout the day and evening. Should you not grow accustomed to the whistles ear plugs are available.

This property is not child friendly because of the Fraser River being so close and the wild life around. For that reason I do not recommend children under the age of 12 yrs.

My girlfriend and I stayed here at Michelle’s property for two nights. It was a wonderful experience and truly a hidden gem. Waking up and falling asleep to the sounds of the Fraser river was serene. The animals on the property were so friendly and we loved interacting with them. Michelle was an amazing host, she was always reachable and did everything to make sure our stay was as comfortable as could be. The property is about a 15 minute drive away from the city of hope which was perfect for us. I can’t say enough good things about both Michelle and the property. If you’re looking to get away from all the noise of the main city , this is the spot for you. The time we spent on the property was simply lovely, we would sit by the propane fire and chat, knit, read, and laugh, along with the occasional visit from the cats or dog. Our overall experience here was a 10/10 and I’d highly recommend it to anyone thinking about a little get away. Thank you Michelle for being such a wonderful host, and an even better person. We would definitely stay here again!!

The cabin (and the whole property) is magical and the river view from the porch is breathtaking. Enchanting site right on the Fraser river with fantastic outdoors spaces to relax & enjoy. Lovely rustic cabin, beautiful setting and incredible host Michele and all her furry & feathered friends! Spent a wonderful day exploring Hope & area and evenings on the deck and balcony - reading, bbqing, napping and absorbing the tranquility. Checked all my boxes of a weekend cabin getaway!!!

Beautiful spot

Beautiful property, cute cabin, lovely host and adorable animals. The composting toilet was interesting and although it is listed as a bed & breakfast there would have been an extra charge for breakfast

It is a Air Bnb which is different than a bnb. I don't offer breakfast so there would not be an extra charge. Right on the listing it says Breakfast not available. If you wanted a bnb that provided breakfast I am sure that you could have found one elsewhere, but you picked my cabin. It is all listed on Vibro that there are no meals that is why it is called an Airbnb. I feel it is not fair that you gave me that review of 4 when you knew when booking there was no BF. I asked you several times if everything was all good and you responded that it was wonderful. As for the composting toilet.... we are by the beautiful river and no plumbing is allowed this close to the river that is why you have a composting toilet. So as a rating goes a 4 start means there is several issues that need addressing. I don't see these as an issue, just a miscommunication that you did not read the listing properly or wanting something that I do not provide and giving me a 4 star because you wanted BF.

We stayed for three nights and had a great time. It was very relaxing to sit on the patio in front of the cottage or the adjacent outdoor lounge area, with coffee or wine, and watch the river go by. Lots’o friendly animals, (cats, dogs, chickens & a duck) to visit. Although breakfast was not included at this b&b we did enjoy some breads and jams, available for purchase, for breakfast and snacks.For activities, we went to Hells Gate Airtram, Flood Falls & Othello Tunnels. Very convenient location near Hope for grocery shopping and grabbing a bite to eat.

Michele was a very great host. She stocked up the property with everything you need and if I reached out she was very prompt in her response. The animals were wonderful companions and the property is even more beautiful than the photos. A well maintained oasis that provided so much peace and joy. A tranquil woodland stay (with trains).

The vibes of this place are off the charts. There are string lights, fire pits, the sound of flowing water and resident farm animals. There is a train super close by with a blaring whistle, but earplugs are provided if you need. I somehow slept through it.

Amazing getaway to reset and recenter

I was here for a weekend getaway to unwind and relax. Perfect setting for it! A mini beach along the river was nice to sit and read at. All the pets were incredibly friendly--the black cat even joined me while I was reading. I also purchased a loaf of bread and jams from the farm and they were fantastic! No complaints, would love to stay again

Lovely Little Hideaway

Shaded away under trees right by the Fraser River this little cabin is such a cool and beautiful place to relax especially if you've been out exploring in the summer heat. Michele is a lovely host and we had a lot of fun chatting with her. All the cute animals she has is an extra bonus.

Awesome stay.

Lovely, cozy, rustic cabin… Glamping at its absolute best. So much attention to detail. Love the different separate spaces. Amazing river views, finally had a good sleep in weeks, due to that comfortable bed and the great wool pillows. Thanks so much for everything Michelle.

Fantastic BC getaway

This magical riverside cabin was just perfect for a quiet, relaxing couple of days. The cabin itself was very comfortably appointed, with just the right rustic feel. What we loved: sitting on the deck in the evening (maybe with a good book), listening to the insistent frog song, the occasional splash from the river, and yes, even the trains (we got used to them very quickly!). Michele was very quick to respond in communicating, and cheerful to visit with on site.

Magical little cabin on the river

You can tell Michele put a lot of thought and effort into this place. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway. The cabin is cozy and has everything you need. While it’s located on the main property, it feels completely secluded. The views are phenomenal! Thank you for your hospitality and sharing your little piece of paradise with us. Great location to explore the beautiful Hope area. The cabin is rustic and charming, with amazing views of the river, and at night the property takes on a fairy garden ambience. Michelle is a lovely host, and her bread and jam are delicious. The collection of pets are friendly and you can count on regular check ins from at least one of the cats, who is happy to sit with you and laze the day away. We were able to visit Bridal veil falls, the Othello tunnels, swim in Kawkawa lake and explore Hope easily from this location. Of note, we were happy to see that the Save-on Foods, the liquor store, and a gas station are all closely located together in Hope.

Glamping at its best

The property is private, beautiful forest and river. The host is great - cordial, true to herself. She clearly wanted us to experience the space and surroundings to their fullest. Her pets are happy - interactive, a lovely addition. The cabin is cozy and interesting - bathroom is accessed from the outside. Super bed.

I could sit by the river forever. The property is rustic (bathroom and sink outside), but it works. I didn't mind the frequent trains passing near, I love that sound. The only bad thing, and it's not the host's fault, is the neighbors were loud with yelling and music night and morning.

Cute little cabin right on the river.

Michele greeted us at the gate along with Apollo, the cats, a few chickens and a duck!! Michele is a great host who stayed completely out of our way but was also very attentive and accommodating. This is best described as glamming with everything you need and nothing you don’t. The trains are a little loud at first but 100 % are part of the Fraser River and Canyon experience. Amazing views and so tranquil. We will definitely stay here again.

You can ask for a tour if you like. My creations have been in museums in Great Britain, Toronto, New York and California. I have been featured in a magazine. My hats have been in 2 music videos, a commercial, and 2 documentaries. I enjoy gardening and have apple, pear, cherry, hazelnut trees, grapes, 200 year old cedar trees, wildflower gardens, woodland gardens, ponds on my property and everywhere you look you will see something interesting that will catch your eye. This years project will be a painting mural on the side of my barn.

The heated cabin has wool filled pillows and a duvet for the healthiest and best sleep you will experience. All my products are made here on the property in my studio and are available for purchase. Please find a binder and brochures in the cabin highlighting the many activities and attractions in our beautiful Fraser Canyon. Bring binoculars to watch the wildlife across the river. I must say this is the most fun I have had renovating this cabin and making it into the most serene space for people to enjoy. I am very picky who comes on the property so rest assured that you will experience only the best. We also offer an on site massage therapist for booking. This property is not child friendly because of the Fraser River being so close and the wild life around. The space suits 2 adults.

What makes this property unique

Magnolia Cottage on the Fraser River is located north of the town of Hope, BC – in Dogwood Valley just off Highway #1 in the Fraser Canyon. You will experience a little bit of paradise in a small rustic heated cabin surrounded by woodland gardens with 160 feet of river frontage and beach access at low tide. Enjoy the deck with a propane fire pit or the wood fire pit when permitted. The path to the cabin takes 1 minute and is a forest path so please wear appropriate footwear for a small hike to the cottage. Explore the many different hikes available for you around Hope and Dogwood.

Watch the chickens and duck as they waddle down to see you. Feed them by hand. Apollo my dog will come visit you while you are there. Give them treats that are in the cabin. They will love you forever.

Eggs & Bread
My chickens and duck are free range and their eggs are available for purchase.
Duck eggs are fluffier and have a higher concentration of omega-3 fatty acids vitamins and minerals and taste just the same as chicken eggs. Duck eggs are fantastic for baking and omelets.
