The property is in a brilliant location, close to the beach with lots of opportunity for walking and checking out the town. The rooms are good sized. Everything is well stocked. And Parm is a very responsive host!

Overall, our stay was good. Great location within walking distance to the beach, marina, trails, playgrounds and splash pad. Backyard is small and could use some sun coverage. Inside is fine, if you don’t mind stairs. Lots of bathrooms, which is great for 10 people, however the eating/living area is small for 10 people.

Great Location

Location to beach was great. House was clean and nice size. Owner was very attentive to making sure we had all we needed and quick to respond. Only negative was ensuite off master bedroom was too small but not current owners fault. Would go back and recommend.

Cleanliness

This property is in a great location, close to beach and walking trails. It is well appointed and nicely decorated. The state of cleanliness was disappointing. The owner was very apologetic and was attentive to make sure we were comfortable. We would stay at this property again.

Nice big property with a lot of space. 5 min walk to the beach. Restaurants, grocery stores, etc 5-10 min driving distance. Communication with the owner was great. He was very responsive to issues that we had.Unfortunately when we arrived, the air conditioning wasn’t working; finding out later on that it was broken. Like stated above the owner did respond and go above and beyond to make the best he could for that situation. Inside needs a lot of attention to detail. It was noted that there is a cleaning service but it was hard to believe that somebody even came. Things like vacuuming, cleaning of windows ( inside & out) were clearly not done. The beds were not made properly and most of the beds did not have the proper sheets.For the price paid those things should be done and should be verified that it is done properly. If things change me and my family would love to come back.

Beautiful place! Very clean! Excellent location. Host replied to any questions I had immediately, which was excellent. Kitchen was well equipped. Living area was a bit small for 8 adults, 1 child Dining table was also small although there was extra seating available at the island. There were many bathrooms, that was a real plus. Lots of stairs but we adapted. Beach items, which included a wagon for transport, were a big bonus. We did need to bring beach chairs but there were floaties and towels available which was great. Fire pit was great, very safe. Thanks for a lovely stay! We had a great time!!!!

Great location easy walk to the main beach and ice cream. Short drive to Gobles Grove beach with new street opened south of Bruce Street so you don’t get all the lights going through town. Great new splash pad and park for younger kids just past boat launch to the left with walking trails in Port Elgin bit longer walk but also has parking. The entertaining area on 2nd level was fun when grandkids came over for visit. Nice extra house provided. Amenities could not be better. Owner is easy to work with and quick to reply if any questions or issues crop up. We will definitely stay there next time we go to Port Elgin.

Great location!

Port Elgin beach is wonderful and close by. The beach and restaurants uptown were easily walkable and pleasant. The food was very good everywhere. The kids loved the waves at Sauble Beach and the amazing bike trails, the most . The house itself is a strange and awkward design but served our purposes. One complaint I have is the lack of towels and sheets for all the beds. My opinion is that for this price those things should be included, as no one wants to haul that around on vacation especially for a large group of people.
