Charming lakefront cottage steps away from a sandy beach in Port Elgin!
Charming, quaint lakefront cottage on beautiful Miramichi Bay in Port Elgin, Ontario, a 30-second walk across the road to the beach at the Bay. The cottage is also a 5-minute bike ride to the main beaches in Port Elgin and Southampton. During the day, lay on the beach, kayak, SUP and swim. At night, curl up with the family on the expansive deck to watch the amazing sunsets (and if you’re really lucky, the Northern Lights). The cottage also backs on to the Woodland Trail for beautiful hikes and bikes in the woods. Pets welcome! Update Spring 2025: the water levels this Spring look low right now, and with a shallow beach in front of the cottage, guests may have to walk out a bit on the sand to get to deeper swimming and paddling. The swimming and paddling is still great!

Very pleasant stay in this bright and cheerful cottage. Birds sanctuary in the Miramichi Bay, with geese flying added an extra sense of being close to nature. Will try to revisit
Property was located central to everything and right across the street from a beautiful quiet beach. Property was large, well kept and had everything we needed!

Loved being right across the street from a sandy, quiet beach with a beautiful view of the bay from the deck. The cottage was very comfortable and it was nice that all bedding and towels were provided. There’s a great walking/biking trail in front of the house too thst goes right along the water to Port Elgin. We had a wonderful stay!
Our stay was so enjoyable. Beautiful view of Lake Huron and the sunsets in the evening were awesome! Very clean and comfortable especially the bed. Property owner easy to reach and responds in a timely manner! My husband and I enjoyed our stay from start to finish.
This property was perfect for our girls weekend! Great location & beautiful view! Rental was very clean and exactly as shown. Stocked with beach chairs, towels, kayaks and all kitchen items you might need. Host and property manager were both very helpful & communicative! We loved our stay and will be returning!
We didn’t really realize how close we would be to both Southampton and Port Elgin. It was perfectly situated. The kids played with some toys and games, and mum and dad enjoyed the sunset. Overall we had a blast and there isn’t anything that would prevent us from renting again.
The location of the property is wonderful. The path behind the cottage is lovely, the drive to town is short, and the shore is just steps away. The view is beautiful, especially at sunset. The cottage is adequate, but some details could be improved. The lighting in the main living area is lacking other than the cafeteria-style overhead lighting. The one floor lamp in the living area blinked on and off or didn't work at all. The kitchen was equipt with a nice Nepresso coffee maker, but no pods were provided and the grocery store didn't have any, so we used the regular coffee maker. The kids' room (which we used for one of the adults) had no bedside table or lighting other than the overhead light with the switch by the door. The gas fireplace would require an electrician to start and operate, so we didn't try to use it. The bedrooms and have beds, bedding, and closets (except for the kids' room), but certainly nothing special or extra. That said, we loved our trip, the walks, the lake, and the firepit in the back yard where we roasted hotdogs and had a nice sing-along with a ukelele. Erin was a responsive and helpful host. We would stay again
