We could not have been more pleased with this property. Exceptionally clean, perfect location - close enough to walk to tons of stuff, but also private. We loved having City Bakery directly below us. Hosts were very communicative and gave really clear and detailed instructions. Hosts provided cool amenity packets for both the kitchen and the bathroom, which came in handy. We would absolutely stay here again.

Hi Kelly,
Thank you for the wonderful review! We’re so happy to hear you enjoyed the cleanliness, location, and thoughtful amenities, and that our communication and instructions helped make your stay easy and enjoyable. We’re also glad you loved having City Bakery just downstairs!
We’d absolutely love to host you again in the future.

This location was great! With restaurants and a bakery just below, there was always hot coffee and yummy food. And as a perk of staying in the building, the bakery offered a 10% discount. It was an enjoyable and quick walk to the downtown area and Pack Square Park so we hardly drove anywhere. The condo itself was cozy and warm and perfect for relaxing. Everything you'd need for a low-key stay in Asheville.
Very nice room and not to far from downtown area. Bakery and bone and broth both excellent places to eat.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Listing accuracy
We visited Asheville to explore the city, so the VRBO was essentially just a place to sleep, which unfortunately turned out to be the biggest disappointment of the trip. The location comes with expected urban noise, which we understood going in. What we didn't anticipate was 6AM construction material deliveries from the adjacent lot, combined with the tenant above us, who either works late nights or has severe insomnia, walking heavily around the unit at various hours throughout the night. What gave it away: earplugs are provided for guests. A thoughtful touch, but also a telling one. Earplugs can only reduce so many decibels, and four consecutive nights of disrupted sleep with foam plugs in is not a restful experience by any measure. The owners are clearly aware of the noise situation. We'd just encourage them to be more transparent about it in the listing so future guests can make an informed decision.
Great spot! Would definitely stay here again! Only complaint was the water pressure in the shower. Bed was super comfortable and a lot of room and easy walking distance to shops and dining. Plus - there’s a restaurant and bakery downstairs.
This rental is very clean and comfortable. The building feels historic. The property management is a local company and we were very pleased with the ease of communication and check in/check out procedures.
The property was very comfortable with an excellent location. The pictures on VRBO accurately show the unit. A very good bakery and restaurant are located on the first floor. We would definitely stay again.
The apartment was great! Super clean and had everything we needed. The location was convenient to everything. The landlord supplied the door codes while we were in-route and worked perfectly. Plenty of parking. I can definitely recommend it for your stay in Ashville.
This place was in the middle of everything we could possibly need or want. We really enjoyed being able to leave our car and walk to great restaurants, bakeries, Harris Teeter, Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods. The condo was neat, clean, safe and well equipped. We would definitely recommend it.
What a wonderful apartment! Everything about the experience was excellent from the place itself, to location (short walk from downtown in a pretty neighborhood with access to a yummy taco place, other restaurants, and grocery stores), to the property management. Highly recommend!
The unit was clean and well equipped. Property was exactly as described. The butcher, restaurant and bakery in the building were an added benefit. We used all three and they were excellent.
This place was awesome. Perfect location. Easy to access everything. Only issue we had was the wine opener didnt work-thankfully the restaurant downstairs was willing to uncork the bottle for us; and there were no oven mitts for the little bit of cooking we did there. We definitely want to stay there again when we come to Asheville.
Property was as described and clean. Kitchen was well equipped.
Bed was comfortable. There was a little road noise, but not much. The bakery below was a nice plus, as were two nearby groceries - Trader Joe's and Harris Teeter. We required no communication with manager during our stay. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.
Booked a stay here and found that it was less than a minute off of the highway, about 10 minutes drive to downtown, within 5 minutes of multiple breweries like Wicked Weed and Green Man. Very clean and spacious apartment perfect for my boyfriend and myself. The only downside was there was only enough hot water for ONE 15 minute shower…. The water ran cold after the first person showered. Located above great restaurants and a phenomenal breakfast bakery. Can’t go wrong staying here, we will be back.
This unit was perfect for us. Well equipped and exceptionally clean. There was construction across the side street that started every morning at 7:00, but we aren’t late sleepers so this did not bother us. As the apartment is located on a busy street, there is a fair amount of traffic noise, but again, this did not bother us because the unit is so conveniently located to the heart of the city. We were after city charm (not country quiet) and this delivered.

First Visit to Asheville
The tub in the bathroom is dangerous! I almost fell because it was so slippery! The TV service wasn’t great. No local channels. Really off the beaten path.
This apartment is exactly as pictured—very clean, nicely furnished, comfortable, and with plenty of hot water to fill the bathtub.
The only downsides were that it felt sparse and impersonal, and the kitchen has only the bare minimum of cookware. It had no cooking oil, salt or pepper, spices, or anything of the sort. So this wouldn't be a good fit for someone who likes to do serious cooking. It's clearly managed by a large company, so it's more like staying in a hotel than a home.
But otherwise I loved it, and management was very responsive & helpful when I forgot some items there. I would stay again!
Stayed a week in this awesome property. No complaints whatsoever. The location is in north Asheville, just outside of downtown.
Easy to walk to everything the downtown has to offer. But if you don't feel like walking, just drop down to the restaurants on the first floor. Or walk a few blocks to the Harris Teeter, Whole Foods, and Trader Joe's for what you need.
We traveled and hiked throughout the the area. This residency is minutes away from the Blue Ridge Parkway, as well as interstates and highways that will take you wherever you desire.
Bed? Super comfy. Kitchen? Has all the basics. Air & Heat? Solid. Wifi? Yup. We won't hesitate to return.
The location and room were perfect. It was a super easy walk to Downtown. The price of the place was very reasonable and the bakery and restaurant downstairs were both excellent.
There are two things I would fix. Both cheap and simple.
1- Add a filtered water pitcher in the fridge. I hike and drink and though tap is acceptable a filtered water pitcher would go a long way.
2- Please add a bath mat in the shower/tub. It's extremely slippery and I busted it hard when I used it. Busted my knees on the tub floor and was close lined on the side of the tub on my way down. Not fun.
I would definitely stay there again.
