Peaceful getaway

Myself and 5 friends stayed at this cabin in Greer. We slept comfortably, lounged indoors or on the large deck, cooked frequently and overall very much enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean and peaceful, with everything we needed. The host was communicative and helpful.

Just what we were looking for…

We arrived at night and check-in went exact. The house was clean and welcoming. Our kids claimed the loft beds as soon as they ran up the stairs. All the beds were comfy. The kitchen had the tools we needed for meals made. Wifi was great. The deck was spacious and perfect for the snowy weather, watching my kids make a snowman, or the herd of elks grazing through the neighborhood. It was an easy drive to and from Sunrise Park and a wonderful place to retreat. We made many awesome memories and would definitely stay here again!

Getaway

The location and the home size for our needs was wonderful! The home is clean yet, If you dont like spiders, be aware, you will be killing quite a few inside showers and bedrooms. The king bed is not in the primary bedroom ,rather the queen is. The mattress on the King needs to be replaced. It sags significantly and is super soft. Lastly, some animal attacks the garbage cans at night and tips them over, strewing garbage all over. I ended up picking up garbage 2xs, including garbage that wasnt ours. These are minors fixes for an otherwise great house for RnR!

Nice cabin but needs updating badly

The cabinet self was very nice and the location was good. Unfortunately the furniture, appliances, utensils, and most importantly the beds are either very old and/or cheap. The beds also have plastic wrapping around the mattresses which makes for a very uncomfortable, hot and noisy night of sleep. Even the kitchen utensils, which don’t cost very much, were so cheap and old that some were not even functional. I get that these types of cabins are investment properties however it seems very clear that the number one objective of the owner is to save money on everything rather than make the guest experience as pleasant as possible.

Nice Cabin Off the Beaten Path

Our stay was during the first week of August. There were many things we liked about the cabin, and a few things that could be improved. Positives: *size and openness…all the windows/skylights letting in the natural light was so pleasant. *location was wonderful…away from the all the busyness around cabins off of the main road through Greer. *the outdoor space…we loved both decks areas and spent a lot of time enjoying them. Improvements and negatives: *the last part of road to cabin was awful due to previous rain, we were very glad we had a truck. I understand the owners have no control on this but people need to know part of the road is rough. *the beds were not comfortable…low in the middle for both king and queen. We slept in the king, and my husband ended up sleeping diagonally so as to not roll into me all night. Our friends who were in the queen bed said the same, that their bed was low in the middle. Also the bedding is old, kind of smelled and doesn’t fit well. *soft surfaces smelly…especially the thrown pillows on sofa. Until we opened windows the cabin had a dirty laundry odor. These things are minor and can be improved, but wasn’t a good first impression. The cabin is a nice size for a family. And, we would consider staying again.

Very well maintained and extremely clean.

Wonderful house. Nice views, wildlife and large place to park. Mattresses could use an upgrade and room darkening window covers would be nice. Despite that, spacious rooms, quiet neighborhood and a fully loaded kitchen.

Over all it was a nice getaway from the heat of the valley.

Things to consider before booking: 1.The King and Queen bed are uncomfortable. They are sink holes. Poor nights sleep. 2. Limited Dish TV network and VERY spotty internet service. Sometimes no calling service. 3. During our stay a crew was clearing trees in the lot that shares our driveway. Chainsaws and trucks heard daily. I'm assuming a new home construction soon. If these 3 things changed, I would highly recommend.
