Can’t say enough good things about this property and our stay- amazing space, wonderful hosts and walking distance to everything in Banff. Will be a vacation to remember
Amazing location and host. The unit has everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. The location is fantastic with a less than 10 minute walk to Banff Avenue and the nearest ski shuttle stop (Mount Royal parking lot). All in all a fantastic experience.
Love the location! Quiet neighborhood and walkable to downtown shops and restaurants. Beautiful and comfortable they have thought of everything to make our stay perfect!
Hosts were so warm and welcoming, they had everything sorted for us (even ice cleats for walking around Banff). The house was immaculate. The location was a stones throw away from town centre, and right in front of an amazing view short hike (tunnel mountain trail). We loved every minute of our stay here.
We had an amazing time! What a great experience.Warm, comfortable, just perfect. The hosts were helpful and considerate.I couldn’t recommend this spot any more.Looking forward to our next visit to Banff and our next stay at the ugly bunny guest house.Thank you!
Lovely guest house in a secluded spot but with an easy walk to the town. Extremely well-stocked kitchen. Very clean yet cozy. Nice touches everywhere with an abundance of seats and hooks and even fresh granola. Owners were very responsive and kind. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
I can't recommend this enough, great location, extremely clean and well thought out with hosts that were beyond lovely. Would stay here again in a hearbeat!
The welcome as we walked up the garden stairs and all the ‘little’ touches that add up to quite a lot. Fresh homemade bread and homemade granola, a couple supplies in the fridge to start us off. And with the icy streets even some borrowed shoe ‘spikes’ for safer walking. The decor makes you smile. It was a close walk to town which we did several times. It was a delight and if we’re in Banff again we’d try Ugly Bunny Guesthouse first.
We had a lovely time at the Ugly Bunny Guest House. We appreciated the extras - homemade bread, jam and delicious granola. You can tell they have pride of ownership. The location is close to downtown and walking/hiking trails.
Stayed 2 nights and loved it. Hosts were easy to communicate with. Place was very clean. We got lots of goodies like oatmeal, fresh bread and jam, etc. Took 5 min to walk to town. Great location. Would stay here again.
This property was everything we expected. The hosts are very accommodating and have thought of everything , even good suggestions on things to do. Location and proximity to town is great. There were even a family of Elk across the street.
Great hosts, we enjoyed our time and great location to walk to downtown, the Bow River, and other sites... all within 5-8 minutes of the house. great amenities and hospitality.... thank you to Caylen and Les for all the extra personal touches and info to make our first trip to Banff awesome!
Our stay at the Ugly Bunny was pure perfection! The home is ADORABLE, and the subtle touch of bunny decor throughout was so cute. The kitchen was fully set up for everything we needed, and the fresh bread, homemade granola, and oatmeal made for the best breakfast every morning! Walking downtown was so easy, which is exactly what we wanted since parking is not easy in downtown Banff. We will definitely be coming back to Banff in the future, and will 100% stay at the Ugly Bunny! Thank you, Caylen and Les, for the wonderful stay!
The Ugly Bunny was perfect for our stay in Banff. It was very spacious, peaceful, and comfortable. It was the perfect retreat to a full day of hiking in the national parks. Caylen and Les were very welcoming! We appreciated all the treats they left for us as well. We would highly recommend staying jere.
Ugly bunny guest house was just perfect for my husband and myself during our visit to Banff. Everything detail was considered — from some breakfast options in the kitchen to laundry detergent to get our clothes clean! Great meal recommendations and a very easy walk to everything we wanted to do in town made the stay AMAZING!
Caylen and Les were gracious, helpful hosts and provided delicious bread and granola, along with other extras. The guest suite was very clean and in a great location near town and a beautiful trail system. We really enjoyed our stay! Thank you!
Brilliant apartment and location with lots of much appreciated little touches. Very helpful and friendly hosts.

About the host
Hosted by Caylen and Les
We are Caylen and Les and we opened the Ugly Bunny Guest House in the fall of 2021. We are long term residents of Banff and have both recently retired from our office jobs. We are hoping to provide comfortable and convenient accommodation amidst the stellar beauty of Banff National Park.
Why they chose this property
The Ugly Bunny is tucked in on the side of Tunnel Mountain. We are steps away from the world renowned Banff Centre - home to an Art Gallery, Fitness Facility, Theatre and fine restaurants. The Tunnel Mountain trails are on our doorstep. This a quiet neighbourhood, with access from the laneway, but still close to the lively hustle and bustle of downtown Banff.
