About this property

Stunning family home with spectacular views

Perched high on the hill overlooking the Blackwood valley to hills beyond sits spectacular “Aruma” described by some of our visitors as a touch of Tuscany.
Our home was totally re built in 2020 to create one of Bridgetown’s most impressive homes incorporating expansive open living areas and gourmet kitchen extending onto a full length deck taking in the properties breathtaking views.
Four of our bedrooms have hotel grade king size beds that can be split into 8 king singles to suit guests configuration requirements. Multiple bathrooms all offer designer quality fittings and those with baths have garden or valley views.
Situated on 10 acres of farm land and orchards, you will be entertained by our resident guinea fowl ( the girls) or relax watching our lawn mowing sheep. In season you are welcome to help yourself to our “fruit bowl” orchard or enjoy our ever expanding garden or drinks by the dam.

Tucked away on the sidelines of Bridgetown lies a gem of a place to stay, wind down, sleep, soak in the views, bird spot and experience the luxury and tranquility of the perfect hideaway.My family had the pleasure of experiencing all that, last weekend, July,2026. The five bedroom house is set on a hill slope and commands enchanting views of rolling hills, blossoming trees, citrus fruit trees, well-fed sheep, a picture-blue pond and magnificent bird life. In short, the house ticked all our boxes of the perfect getaway - proximity to the town, warm shelter, all of the mod cons, and a well-positioned viewing deck. My husband especially loved the high quality stereo speakers. This is our second time staying at this property this year and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. We loved it!

Or multi-generation family spent a wonderful week at Aruma! The house is super-spacious, very, very well equipped to a high spec. The location and views are stunning - across the valley towards the river and Bridgetown. The hosts have thought of everything and are very responsive and generous. Highly recommended.

Long weekend with friends.

Excellent house. Large and spacious with expansive, elevated deck, which has long views over the property and surrounding countryside. Five minutes drive from town.
