Repeat trip to this VRBO working on buying a house. Now an owner of a house in the same great neighbor this house is located. Owner very accommodating and wonderful place to stay.
My wife and I stayed here with our good friends. We were here for sailing adventure with Captain Steve, which also excellent and recommended. The house was well stocked and clean. The location was perfect. Looking forward to returning in the future.

Thanks so much we are very Happy that you had a great get away.
Cozy and clean. Convenient location. Provided everything we needed and more. There is a deck with views of the marsh and a boardwalk out to a dock. Not fancy but very comfortable.
Property was well maintained with a charm to it. The property managers have provided everything you could need! Flashlights, first aid, bug spray, beach toys, towels, umbrella. Lots of other nice personalized touches. They take pride in the property and it shows.

Great quiet place just outside of town.
Stayed here for 2 nights and we really enjoyed ourselves. The views are beautiful and dock is very neat. It is a couple minutes to the beaches on Tybee Island and maybe 10ish minutes easy drive to Savannah. We wish we had another copy days to stay. The home was clean and has everything you need - from snacks to super soft towels. The beds have soft sheets and were both very comfortable. Kitchen is stocked with dishes And even a small cooler to use if needed. Liz is great! We will be back when we swing by Savannah again.

We enjoyed our stay very much.
Cute cottage with charm. Very clean and comfortable with everything you could need provided. LIz provides you with an awesome goody basket filled with the best treats ever. Our only reason for not giving 5 stars was because of the bed sizes. We thought they would be bigger but we just couldn’t both fit in one. We ended up in separate rooms. We are used to king beds.

Hi Carol the beds have always been queens size. If you would have read everything listed on the property you would have seen that it's only queens beds. Hope you are enjoying your next destination.
Lovely spot near enough to Savannah and Tybee Island. Anything we needed for the beach was provided which was very nice, and we appreciated the snacks and coffee, for sure.
This place was horrible! It’s a cramped, tiny side house of the owners’ main house. There are only two queen beds, no room for anything else. Old broken radiators from the 1900s sticking out of every wall. My husband almost fell through the kitchen floor (he’s not a super heavy guy either). The beds were the lumpiest things I’ve ever seen. Found a pillow with several mysterious substances all over the pillow case. Oh, and cats will randomly stroll into the house uninvited, but the owner will tell you “I didn’t let the cat inside”, like that’s somehow under your control. The stairs were their own hazard. I won’t even mention the horror movie-style “backyard”. There is only one door, entirely glass, and the owners have no issues coming right over unannounced and being incredibly pushy and rude. We left after the first night because my husband and I just couldn’t fathom another minute in that place. Couldn’t get another booking through VRBO (that’s another story) so we ended up an hour away in Hilton Head. It was a total disaster.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay at this property. It is accurately listed and what you see is what you get.
Pros for our trip:
Not only is the location absolutely amazing (halfway exactly to tybee and downtown Savannah), but being on the water is stunning. We spent so many late nights sitting on the dock and drinking. The price for this alone is a steal. The dock is older but the walkway path has just been recently completely redone. We felt very safe on the dock. The bugs are a lot out there, but the bug spray that the owner supplies is a life saver. The house has everything that you need. We had one rainy day where we spent playing lots of board games and card games at the house.
Cons:
The house is not updated. It was perfect for us, but if you're looking for super updated and newest of the new, this is not the place. After our rainy day we had several bugs in the house. Especially several water roaches. This is not unexpected with being literally right on the water, but if this is something that would freak you out it is not the place. Also to note, the ceilings are really low in this house. I am 6ft and was fine. I had to duck on the ceiling fans in the bedroom. If you are really tall this may not be the place either.
Overall, we had a great time. We would stay again. The dock is worth every single penny, and the hosts are really nice people!
Awesome stay. Family of 4, 2 teenagers. Perfect location between Tybee and Savannah. Friendly and generous hosts.
We fished and crabbed off the dock. Caught a ray, gar and crabs.
This is a beautiful and cozy place to get away from it all. Liz and Bill are amazing hosts. The rental had everything we needed - plenty of linens, everything to cook with, even fishing equipment (yes, the fish are biting even in January!) Downstairs is a small kitchen, dining room, living room & half bath with washer/dryer. Upstairs is full bath + two comfy bedrooms.
The place is super quiet and private, and the boat dock is a gorgeous place to fish or have coffee.
The two famous cats deserve their fame! They greeted us and came to say goodbye this morning. They really made the experience great!
We highly recommend the Crab Shack and the Flying Fish for lunch, dinner, drinks and if you need vehicle repairs done, East Coast Auto (where 80 & Johnny Mercer meet) is fantastic. Tybee Island is beautiful. Many beach walks and even found some sand dollars.
We’ll be back again and again ... already planning a summertime get away!
This listing is labeled as being a hoise which it is actually an addition to a house that you're paying for. When you walk in the kitchen has 2 soft spots in the floor which will soon probably give out. The addition is cooled by window units. Upstairs, if you're over 6'0" (I'm 6'01") watch your head in the 2 bedrooms as the you'll hit your head on the ceiling, door frame, or ceiling fan. Hard to park and back out of the driveway that runs to the addition, especially a full size truck (I have a Toyota Tundra). There are 2 friendly cats that live on grounds and for some reason the house rules say you can't pick them up. The property has a boat ramp qithout lighting so at night bring a flashlight and watch your step!

Great guest here for the weekend left our place on great condition
As a long-time former resident of Savannah, I returned for a long weekend to attend a reunion. I wanted a place close by so I didn't have far to drive to not only the event but to visit with long-time friends and neighbors. I wanted a place that felt like "home" since I was going home.
Liz & Bill have the perfect place! The location is definitely what I was looking for and the cottage is well-furnished, well-stocked, safe, private, and quiet. The views are beautiful and relaxing. Early morning coffee and afternoon cocktails on the deck and on the dock.
Liz had welcoming snacks and cold bottled water in the refrige. The ice bucket in the freezer was full.
I'll return again. Like Liz says, "we want you to feel like this is your home". She's right.
My fiancee and 2 boys needed a quick escape in Savannah and found this cute little cottage. We brought fishing poles and spent almost the entire time on the private dock catching spots, croaker, and trout. Kids had a blast chasing baby crabs on the dock and uno at night. The cute little gray kitty adds to the charm, and the owners are extremely nice. Absolutely wonderful experience.
10 minutes to Tybee island and it's beautiful beaches! Nice dock on property. Didn't have a lot of time to fish or crab but looked perfect for both. Super clean house. Snack basket full of goodies and water in fridge saves us after a long drive. Too many awesome little touches too list. Excellent location home, and amenities!😁
This is a perfect little gem. Very clean and perfect for getting to Tybee Island or Savannah within minutes. Everything you need for a vacation is right here. Added bonus was the dock to fish from and the two adorable cats!!

About the host

My husband is a local, I was a construction brat we moved all over the mid-west and south east. I moved to the Savannah area in 1970. I met Bill 1985 due to my job well the rest is history. We will be married 30 years this August. We have a large family with lots of grands. That's part of the reason why we moved to this house it has lots of room for every one to have a good time. Fishing is one of our favorite hobbies. And who doesn't love seafood. We crab, shrimp and bring it home and cook it Yummy. I could go on and on about this. You will just have to come and see for yourself's.
Why they chose this property
We purchased this property for several reasons one the views are outstanding, the locations to Downtown and the Tybee puts our property with in minutes We are directly on the water. Wilmington Island has everything you need, local restaurants, grocery stores, CVS, Wallgreens, YMCA, Library, Marina, and golf course, we even have a putt, putt, and arcade for the kids big and small to enjoy.
What makes this property unique
We fell in loved with this property because of the water, views, sunsets, and it's great location. We are 10 to 15 minutes to Tybee Beach, or the Historic District. We are very active member of American Legion Post 154 located on Tybee Island.
