We had a nice stay. The beds and couches were comfortable and there is plenty of space inside. It was stocked with nearly all the items we needed for a great trip. The kitchen oven happened to be inoperable during our stay and the owner was notified. He was nice and quick to respond to any of our messages. The dock is fixed and not floating. We had 5' tide changes and had to plan for them. So some may want to consider this when deciding the best times to boat or paddle. Overall a very nice stay!

Nice location

The apartment was very clean and well stocked with your basic necessities and toiletries. The view of the sunset was gorgeous. Close to sunwest Park and 20 min from weeki wachee springs. My only complaint is the beds made alot of creaking noises on even the slightest movements. Otherwise I would stay her again with my family.

Lovely Home, Great Location

The home was exactly as presented in the photos. Stairs led to the entrance located on the second floor, and they were in great condition and freshly painted. There is a solid railed in porch at the top of the stairs that you can sit out on and enjoy the fresh air. The interior was lovely, clean, and well kept. Heating and AC both worked great (crazy weather swings the week we were there from the 80s to the 30s) James was extremely helpful and responsive, and went out of the way to ensure we had a great stay at his house. We used the fridge, microwave, oven, and stovetop - all worked great. The Ice Cream shop next door was a great treat for the kids. We were thrilled to find there was a coffee pot and rice cooker, pots, pans and kitchen basics. If you have something specific you need, all you have to do is ask and James will do his best to get it taken care of right away. We loved the Fresh Fish market down the road, the tuna was amazing. There is also a quick mart gas station at the end of the block, and a super Walmart a mile down the road for easy access to anything you would like. We saw the Manatees at Homosassa Springs, swam and picnicked at Anclote Beach, and went Deep Sea Fishing. Can't wait till the next time we can come down to stay here again!

There was food in refrigerator and freezer. Micro wave was dirty. Some of the silverware was dirty and my husband had to clean the coffee pot several times to get it clean. Noise from traffic was awful, you heard every car and car radio that went by. Got very little rest at night because of the noise. Lock on door inside would not lock. Shower was very hard to use. Fan in master bedroom had to be fixed the first day. Lamp in front room didn’t want to stay on. It’s above an office and when he left for the weekend the cable was off, but when he came back Monday it magically came back on. We booked it and then I received a note saying the dates were unavailable, so I booked another, then a little while later it said that it was confirmed. During that time I got another place(My Mother was in hospital in serious shape I had to get a room) I texted him and told him what happened and he said I could cancel, but I would not get my money back. We were desperate. We will never book there again.

This was one of the most well-stocked places I’ve stayed at—everything we needed was right there, which made our stay super convenient. It’s not the Ritz, but for the price, it was more than good enough. The space was also surprisingly roomy, which was a nice bonus. Great value overall and would definitely stay again for our quick scallop trip.

Waterfront rental

The house is nice, comfy, and dock is nice. The area is awesome. The only thing is the parking. It is true story there is an office on the bottom so you are really limited on parking. If you bring your boat and have a boat and trailer that you have to park there and another vehicle very hard only wanna give you a single space that you have to park in which is once she back your trailer up in there if the boat would’ve been bigger than our 22 foot hurricane I don’t believe it would work very tight and there’s just no way you can put another vehicle in before it because they have a pod sitting there that’s not shown in the pictures other than that great stay.

Good Location, But Extremely Run Down & Unsanitary

The location is the biggest plus—steps from the beach and right on a canal with beautiful water views. The host thoughtfully provides linens, kitchenware, and extras like fishing poles, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the property itself is in very poor condition. It feels more like someone’s cluttered home than a vacation rental. The furniture is outdated, the house has a strong musty odor, and many items are rusted, broken, or stained—including cookware, utensils, and linens.Safety is a concern. The wooden stairs are loose and damaged, the front gate doesn't close properly, and there’s no real balcony—just steps leading to an AC unit. It’s definitely not child-safe. There’s also a large shipping container in the driveway and an abandoned-looking office downstairs, both of which were unsettling and not disclosed in the listing.Cleanliness was a major issue. We found mold in the ceiling, dog hair and food wrappers under couch cushions, dust on picture frames, dirty baseboards, and a wet sponge in the sink when we arrived. Used toiletries, open condiments, and cluttered cabinets throughout made the stay feel unsanitary and uncomfortable. The place looks like no money has been reinvested into it, with mismatched consignment furniture and worn-out essentials. It has potential, but it needs serious updates, deep cleaning, and attention to safety before being listed as a beach rental.

Amazing Location and Property

The property itself was wonderful. Easy access to the canal. Next door to an ice cream parlor and convenience store. Immaculately clean. The list goes on and on of the positive experiences at this property. Its a 2 minute drive and a 15ish minute walk to the beach. Honestly couldn't have asked for a better place to spend some time away. Would absolutely book over and over again.

Nice and comfortable place to stay.

Property was decent, not the greatest curb appeal, but interior was clean and comfortable. Everything needed was in the house. Beds were super comfortable. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The living room couches were very comfy and nice looking. Loved that there was a throw blanket in the living room for the cooler evenings!!

Very Homey
