Hilltop Hideaway for the win!

Perfect little house for 2 nestled on the hilltop with mountain views. Walking distance to shops, restaurants, and pubs. It was perfect for our romantic weekend. There was complimentary snacks, wine, and coffee. The hot tub was very clean and relaxing. The bed was large and comfy. Definitely going back!

Great Vacation Getaway!

We had a great time at our West Jefferson vacation. The cottage was just the right size for my husband and me. It had all the amenities we needed. Downtown West Jefferson is within walking distance and made our trip very convenient. It is a beautiful town nestled in the mountains. We hiked several of the local hiking trails... We enjoyed the shopping, restaurants and the scenic views very much. We will return to West Jefferson!

nice place, not the best location

It's a cute little cabin with a nice hot tub... but the listing did not communicate well that it sits within 1000 feet of the town's main street. Traffic noise is a real problem there.

loved the size for 2 people was a little cold but was unusual cold outside. house was clean but had an oder even with candles and spray could not get rid of.z we love the snacks and extras!

Overall it was good. Initially, there was a smell when you walk in but nothing a little febreeze couldn’t handle. Had to wash our sheets because there was a bit of dog hair on them. Great place though and we enjoyed ourselves will definitely be back!

Great mountain Vacation

We had a great weekend in "The little house on the hill". It was the perfect spot for my husband and me. We have stayed here for several years now and keep coming back. The location and ability to walk most places is so nice. We really enjoyed the house upgrades that were made and the well stocked kitchen and treats left for us. The town of West Jefferson is great and has something for everyone. We enjoyed the many shops, the Farmer's Market, The Ashe County Cheese store , Red Dog Cafe, Smoky Mountain BBQ(drive thru only)just to name a few. We enjoy hiking, yet the national park was closed so we asked advice from the ladies at the Chamber of Commerce in downtown. These ladies are a great source of information and they directed us to the Ashe County park just a few miles away which was a lot of fun. Our hosts made our weekend getaway very enjoyable. Thank You!

No communication from the property manager

There were two big dogs barking without a leash, we did not feel comfortable leaving our car. Called the property manager and there was no answer. We left and found a hotel to stay. Followed up with an email and still no response.

Hilltop Hideaway

Hilltop Hideaway is in a great location. Easy walking distance to everything in West Jefferson, but still seemed private when you were in the home. The house was clean and well furnished and the hot tub was a nice addition. Owners have gone above and beyond providing many extras that we haven't seen in all vacation rentals such as drinks, snacks, and coffee. Very happy with Hilltop Hideaway and would consider staying there again.

West Jefferson Cabin

The location was perfect. We could walk to downtown West Jefferson which was nice. The cabin was small, which was okay, but the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The hot tub was dirty and had murky water. There was a lot of debris on the deck, and a lot of dirt in the cabin as well. The property manager was ver responsive when we called about the hot tub and sent someone out right away. The cabin could use a deep cleaning on the inside.

The cabin is delightful & tucked away in the woods yet right downtown. We enjoyed our visit; however, it was not cleaned. Would love to upload pics I took of what we encountered. Kitchen countertops had food residue, refrigerator trays & drawers not wiped out, hot tub cover had green slime on inside. Looks like housekeeping changed linens & cleaned toilet & not much more. Slime in stainless steel kitchen sink. I went & bought cleaner & cleaned myself. Would stay there again but needs a deep clean. Too, I texted pics to the numbers in the notebook that stated contact us if any issues. Also sent pics to Evolve customer service…CRICKETS!!!

Cleanliness was disappointing, hot tub filthy

We walked in to our stay to find dead bugs by the bed, no hand soap in the bathrooms, the shower door was grimy, the back door lock was broken and being held closed by a bar, the hot tub had built up scum and filth all in it. We reached out to our contact, to have a cleaning company come clean again, only to come back to a still filthy hot tub and still gross looking shower, they basically just swept up the dead bugs and remade the bed..We spent a decent amount of money on this place to not even be able to use the hot tub because it was so gross, and very obviously is not deep cleaned in between guests. We contacted the host to no response. Would not stay here again after the cleanliness left us feeling extremely dissatisfied

Quaint Downtown Getaway

This cute property is located in downtown West Jefferson, but up a little side road, so you aren't in the middle of town. You will still hear some traffic, but with the A/C going, it was bad. It was exactly as described, with amenities needed. We would definitely stay again!

Perfect spot for a long weekend get away!

The location could not be more perfect! A short walk to downtown West Jefferson to experience their wonderful little restaurants, breweries, shops and CHEESE! The house was the perfect size and and the hot tub was wonderful! I think we dialed up just the right weather for mid-June, cloudless skies and 60-70 degrees. All the amenities we needed were provided and our hosts were just fabulous! Thank you for sharing your little piece of heaven with us!!!

Small and cozy

Nice size spot for two that was close to everything. Desperately need more than one blanket with 25 degree weather outside. Also a lot of pet hair to deal with that has not been properly cleaned.
