My husband and I stayed here for the weekend and we really enjoyed our stay. The hosts thought of everything. The kitchen was outfitted with everything that was needed to cook and eat with. The bed was really comfortable and warm. It was perfect for us to enjoy the weekend!

My husband and I had a wonderful week at this beautiful house. It was super clean and had everything you could possibly need for a great stay away from your own home. The kitchen was so well equipped and stainless steel appliances were perfect; a real “cook’s kitchen”. A perfect stay in a perfect cottage!

Cozy lil cottage

Great upgraded kitchen. House very clean. Location excellent. Quiet neighborhood, and just about 5 min from downtown. Large fenced in backyard great for just chilling while grilling and having a cocktail. Extremely pleased with our visit!

What a gem! Meadows Cottage was the most comfortable, convenient and beautifully renovated home in which we have stayed. The kitchen was well supplied with necessities and even coffee, creamer and snacks were set out for us upon arrival ( which was appreciated more than you know after a 13 hour drive). The beds and pillows were SO comfortable, like a 5 star hotel. We were even notified during our stay to make sure everything was satisfactory. I certainly hope this property will be available on our next trip to New Bern..... it's a winner!

Pros: -Clean-Adorable home, nicely renovated-Comfortable beds-Did not cook any meals, but the kitchen seemed well stocked and it is beautiful.-Furniture and decor attractive and just right-Cozy-Sound machines in bedrooms-Easy to find and gain accessCons:-Only 1 roll of toilet paper (and not even a full roll) provided-The cheapest (literally Dollar Tree) 3-in-1 shampoo/conditioner/body wash- yuck.-Though the neighborhood seemed tidy and safe, the house directly across the street is SKETCHY. Definitely witnessed some questionable activities over there. But that’s not something that can be helped by the owner. -Although the home felt very clean overall, there were some stray pet hairs on the sheets and particularly on the spare pillows in the closet, such that we opted not to use those. For non-pet people, that’s a little off-putting. -The 1 bathroom is TINY. But, that can’t be helped and we knew there was only 1 bathroom going in. Overall, great rental. Would stay again.

Meadows Cottage is an absolute gem! Everything you need for your stay is there including some snacks and coffee. The house is spotless, welcoming and comfortable. Other reviews have said how comfortable the beds are and that is not an understatement - what great night's sleep. I am so glad Meadows Cottage was available for our trip and hope it will be available for our next visit! Also, the neighborhood is very quiet. Stephanie made sure everything was satisfactory and available if needed. We greatly enjoyed our stay.

Super convenient location!

We’d stayed in a hotel during our last visit to New Bern and were miserable. The Meadows Cottage made this year’s stay SO much more enjoyable! It was like being at home. The hosts have thought of everything. The beds / pillows are perfection! We all commented on how well we slept. We look forward to booking the cottage again next time we’re in town!
