Yes that Mendota gas log fireplace astounds everyone with the height of the flame and the amount of heat it puts out on these chilly nights. Thanks for noting how spotless the cabin is! Oh, you liked the tour in the golf cart (which renters also have use of for a small fee)? To those that want the "native" tour, I love to tell the history of the farm going back to the 1960's when my family purchased this eroded, soil-depleted property to turn it into the fertile valley it is today with our mountain top rentals overlooking it all. We look forward to having your family here!

I'm glad you got away for an even for such a short time. Sounds like you recharged by the fire pit. Yes, we have plenty of "FREE" wood for the fire pit thanks to Hurricane Helene. Of course it did take a huge amount of effort to get it out of the woods with a tractor, chainsaw it and split it. But we pride ourselves in keeping wood well stocked because we know the relaxation that staring at a fire brings! Come again!
