Our OBX trip got canceled last minute due to flooding, so we had to find a new spot fast — and wow, we totally lucked out with this condo! It was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had absolutely everything we needed (we didn’t even have to use the stuff we brought). Great value, close to the beach, super comfortable, and the host was fantastic to work with. This was our first time renting through VRBO, and it was such a great experience — we’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

We had a great time staying here! The apartment was clean, quiet, and looked just as advertised. The bed was very comfy, and the dual shower head was a nice touch. The location was fantastic- steps away to the beach, restaurants/bars, a wonderful breakfast cafe, and a grocery store. Would happily stay here again!

this was perfect place for my wife and I to stay for a long weekend. Clean and updated, close to everything, only 5 minute drive to Sullivan's Island, 10 minutes to Shem Creek and 20 to Downtown Charleston. We had the pool to ourselves!

Had a wonderful few days before thanksgiving here. Walking distance to 5 great little beach bars with live music and good food. Quick access to the beach and 15-20 minute drive to downtown Charleston.
Clean, quiet and very comfortable place to stay. It is staying in my “saved places” list for the next trip.

Very well cared for condo, close to the beach and downtown Isle of Palms. Did not realize that you can rent umbrellas and chairs at the businesses near the condo for the beach. Overall great stay and very accommodating.

The condo was in the perfect location. A short walk to the beach, restaurants and beach shops.
My daughter and I were in town for two different family events.
Easy access to main roads. Parking was great.

Our stay was amazing! It was a short walk straight to the beach. There were shops and restaurants in walking distance as well. The condo was very clean and neat. All guests around us were very friendly and we never had any noise complaints.
It was just like I saw in the photos. Cute and comfortable. Only thing my husband mentioned is that they should have a TV in the bedroom and the one in the living rm/ kitchen was super small.
Everything looked as it did online. Very clean. Beth was very friendly and helpful. Comfortable furniture. Bed was very comfortable. Had all you needed to cook in the kitchen even had a few spices in the cabinet. Two shower heads and lots of water pressure along with a bench for those who can't stand long or need to shave their legs. Loved the sitting area on our deck and enjoyed our views while there with a steady cooling breeze. The area was quiet and the grounds were kept clean. I would stay there again and recommend to others as well.
Everything was nice about our stay. good central location to public beach. We were in town for a baseball tournament, so we really were not in the condo much. The last day we were there for dinner and packing and we got a text letting us that we were too loud, and the building is not soundproof. Kind of annoying. We were not doing much other than packing stuff up and getting the condo back in shape. We felt like we couldn't move around much after that.

This is something for future guests to be aware of: depending on the size or typical activity of those in your party, a first floor unit might be worth considering. For the benefit of guests downstairs, we have notices in upstairs units reminding guests to be mindful of floor noise - it’s also stated in the arrival message. The Ocean Inn is an older, more quaint property, which is partly why guests love it here. But there are a caveats. Noise that carries is one.
The text message to guests regarding noise (only sent when guests below ask us to address it) is not meant to offend, and it is always the same:
“ This is just a little friendly reminder about floor noise….any sounds on the floor upstairs travels down into the condo below. It is an old building, it’s easy to forget. “
In as much as we can affect it, we are responsible for the enjoyment of all. Fortunately noise isn’t often an issue but when it is, we try to be kind about it. No one enjoys making the call to complain and we are always ready to listen and help. At the same time, no one ever intends to be disruptive - and most folks would want to know if they are. We try to address the issue but we also try not to get too uptight about it.
Furniture was dingy and discolored looking. White chair had brown and orange stains all over. The weather strip on the bottom of the door is coming off and there is a visible hole/space to the outside.

We loved the location. Getting up early, super easy walk to the beach was very nice. Multiple restaurants you can walk to, coffee, convenience store. Easy check in process, unit had everything we needed.
The perfect spot for a beach adventure. Everything was as advertised. We loved Isle of Palms. The only thing we wished for was a couple of beach chairs or beach towels with the rental. Still… we give it 5 stars.
Loved the location. Need to have info in description about stairs. Had heavy medical equipment that needed to be carted up stairs. There was clothes left behind and floors were unswept.
My boys and I loved our stay. The property was exactly as described, pool was super clean and convenient location to the beach and shops. We were able to walk to everything.
We loved staying here...perfect location and so clean. Be sure to bring quarters for the laundry facility, as change was very hard to come by on the island. The decor was charming...the walk to the beach very short..and an amazing seafood restaurant right across the street.
