We had an amazing 4 night stay at this beautiful property. Our host, Sandy, met us in arrival and showed us around the lovely cottage and the dock. The cottage had everything we could have needed, we used the BBQ and made use of the screened veranda most evenings. We used the Kayaks out on the river and sat on the dock soaking up the beautiful Muskoka sunshine. We could have easily stayed and will definitely check availability for this property if we are lucky enough to visit from the UK again. Thank you so much for making this part of our trip a memorable one.

Beautiful property, as advertised, private and very clean. Host was very helpful, approachable and available when needed but no issues to report - our only complaint was the weather (and maybe figuring out all the light switches). Thanks for a relaxing and memorable weekend.

The cottage, grounds, and location are all fantastic. The kitchen is well equipped, the beds are comfortable, the linens are high quality, and there is a lot of social space. The area is frequented by geese so we didn't use the large lawn but the yard was gorgeous. We spent a lot of time in the screened-in dining and sitting area, though it wasn't too buggy so we also sat at the outdoor dining table and the comfy Muskoka chairs. The dock was great for swimming, especially because the water is very deep off the end. We used two kayaks and a canoe to paddle out onto the lake. The river location means that the cottage is close to the action but protected from rough weather and loud watercraft. It's incredibly peaceful. The fridge and septic pump both had problems when we arrived but these things happen and Sandy and Rick attended to them right away. We loved our stay and will return.

Great Location

Sandra and Steve were great hosts. They were prompt in replying to any concerns and Sandra was there at check in to give us a full tour. There was a burnt out light on the cathedral ceiling and we found the lighting in the main living area dim . Steve replaced the burnt out bulb and all the others with higher wattage bulbs and Sandra brought in two floor lamps. If you're into cooking your own meals take note both the barbeque (could only reach 250 F) and cooktop dont get very hot. To be fair its not something we mentionned so Sandy may not even be aware of it and because they were so good to immediately address any issues they probably would have adressed this as well. The outside of the cottage needed a bit of tlc in that it was overgrown out front so that you could almost not see the cottage. That being said they had already arranged for someone to do the work and after staying there just one day you dont care because it is such a great location right on the muskoka river. Lots to do and there is a cute little park just down the road with tennis courts. Steve gave us lots of restaurant and boat tour suggestions that were fantastic. We choose new location each year as a family from europe to both coasts of Canada and in the US. This was one of our most relaxing locations. Highly recommend this location.
