405 Captain John Fripp Villa - Ocean Front - Ground Level

**This property offers club cards for access to Fripp Island Resort amenities. A Resort fee (12.8% of the base rental rate) will be charged in addition to the cost of the individual club cards if you decide you would like to use the Resort Facilities.**

405 Captain John Fripp is a two bedroom two and half bath ocean front villa. This villa has been completely remodeled for Spring of 2017 with all high-end upgrades. In the kitchen there are brand new appliances, granite counter tops & cabinets. New flooring has been installed throughout the entire villa. All flooring is either tile or wood. All three bathrooms are redone with new fixtures. The villa has been newly painted throughout.

The master bedroom has a new king size bed with full attached bath. The second bedroom has a new queen-sized bed with full attached bath.

The living area has been updated with new furniture including a sleeper sofa. The powder room is conveniently located off the living area.

The 405 CJF private swimming pool is located in the courtyard just steps from your door.

The Fripp Island Club is private and each unaccompanied guest 13 and older must have an amenity card to access the Club’s facilities. The amenity card is a temporary membership to the club. Guests must comply with all rules and regulations of the Club.

**Amenity cards are available for purchase when renting this home. You may purchase up to the amount that the property sleeps.

We See’um Rentals Too, LLC manages 25 plus properties. If you inquire about a property & the property is booked for the dates you prefer, we hope we can direct you to another property that will be as good or better for your needs. We like the personal help we can provide our guests when we can speak in person.

Wonderful location. Definitely need a dehumidifier 24/7 as it smelled of mold throughout. Also furniture needs to be updated inside and out - a little upkeep would def make this a standout - but as is I wouldn’t stay here again bc of mold and worn out conditions

Excellent villa. Short walk to beach with access to pool.

The one thing that will keep me from returning to Fripp is the need to buy an amenities card if you want to eat at most restaurants on the island or go to club pool. I will not return. There are other beaches on the South Carolina coast that I prefer. My husband and I grew up near North Myrtle Beach. Our favorite place to stay is Tilghman resort on ocean blvd. Has pool, view of ocean and short walk to ocean. Also many 5 star restaurants to choose from. No amenities card needed.

Amazing vacation

This condo is very clean and in a perfect location. The ability to walk out the sliding glass door and take the wagon loaded to the beach was very convenient. We also loved the location being in the center of everything. While we were there the washer and dryer broke, but BJ and Marissa were there first thing in the morning to check it out and had brand new washer and dryer at the condo and installed by lunch. BJ is top notch and amazing person to work with! This was our first vacation on Fripp Island and cannot wait for many more trips! I am positive that if we do not try to reserve the same condo we will definitely look to book one of the many properties BJ and Marissa manage.

Needs some maintenance

The positives about this condo are it’s in a great spot, easy beach access, ground floor, comfortable setting, couple of swimming pools to choose from short walk away. The negatives are, it is not very well maintained. At this price a person would expect much more. The washer/dryer are very old, had to dry clothes 3x to get them dry; mold in master bath tub/shower; toilet handle in 2nd BR broken, had to reset multiple times during the stay; very uncomfortable mattress in master BR, old, stained and covered with a cut foam pad to try to improve it; no streaming capabilities for TV in bedrooms (only cable); stained towels. This VRBO owner needs to up their game.

Fripp vacay 2022

Overall the property is great. Inside the villa you will find updated decor and the kitchen is top notch. Location to the beach is excellent. The only advice I can give is to be aware that you will have people above you and the noise is very loud. Every time someone walks or opens the sliding door in the villa above this one, the noise echos below. We had lots of kids above us, so there were times we had to go outside so that we could hear each other talk. Other than that, this place is an awesome place to stay at Fripp

Clean and comfortable condo with a great location.

The communication with the property owner was great. I did not have a single question before our arrival. The condo was clean and well kept. The location could not be better. It is centrally located to our favorite spots on the island. We hope to stay there next year when we figure out our vacation time.

Great condo! Great Location!

This condo was better than expected. Besides being beautiful, it was quiet and well furnished. This vacation area is so nice and the visitors are fun and respectful. The restaurants were not fully opened and very busy, but the food and locations were great. This property has it's own pool in the middle and the beach is huge.

Bugs and squeaks

There was an appliance or something that beeped the entire week. We could not determine where it came from. We did not request assistance as we did not want to be bothered with scheduling a service call and interrupting our vacation. The main complaint was that there were bugs everywhere in the kitchen. Drawers, cabinets, countertops. We did not want to be there after fumigating so we just lived with it. The bedrooms were furnished comfortably but the metal barstools in the kitchen squeaked and were not comfortable and two of the chairs in the living area were also uncomfortable and awkward to sit in. In a nutshell, we would not choose this unit again if others were available.

Roach infested

I was excited about going to this location for my first visit. Once arriving to my beautifully renovated villa, my husband and I were unpacking our groceries we brought. The first thing I had to do was try to kill a roach that ran into the microwave. I thought that was a little unusual, but okay, I began unpacking again. I opened the cabinet and those creatures just scattered. Oh my goodness!!! How gross is that, right?! We were unpacking our clothes and we had to empty out the sand-filled drawers and wipe those down with Clorox wipes. I looked at the bed linens, the pillow cases were not clean.... good thing we brought our own pillows. It was so late at night when we finally finished cleaning everything with Clorox wipes, so I didn’t try to bother the property owner or property manager. I told my husband to PLEASE wash any cups and wash out the coffee maker before making any coffee the next morning. The next morning my husband said he killed so many roaches that he had stopped counting them. How disgusting!! We drove 7 hours to be faced with this! I emailed the property owner about the roaches and said to please send someone immediately to spray for roaches. I also called the property manager and told him about the roach infested problem. He came over and sprayed on the floor in the kitchen and living room area. He said the real exterminator will be there Monday. Well, Monday morning the “real exterminator”, Tammy came to spray. She said she has been trying for YEARS to get a key to exterminate this villa but was never given access to the villa. My sister and her husband was coming to stay with us and upon their arrival they found exactly same things wrong in their bedroom.. sand in drawers, filthy bed linen, bathroom trash can had trash left in it. Oh, we also found in the living room stuff (a ball and candy wrappers) on the floor left from previous renters. And I’m sure I’m leaving something out! Can this get any better? Well, it sure can! I emailed the property owner about all of our findings in the villa and he writes to me, I’ll give you the cleaning fee back but had I known this Saturday I could have sent the cleaning crew out to clean but now you’ve been there for this long I can’t! Really! Is this how you treat your customers?? Well this property owner does!! We all left a day early. I have pictures of all of everything I am saying and I have videos of roaches crawling around. If anyone have the stomach to view them.

Beautiful condo and perfect location!

Our stay at 405 John Fripp condo was better than great. The condo is lovely and everything you need is there. The access to the beach made it so easy to go and enjoy the sun and sand. Our week this visit was a relaxing away from all the everyday responsibilities and it truly was just that. Hard to leave. And BTW Bob was very helpful and responsive. We would be back in a minute if we could.

Great Accommodations

This was our sixth year visiting Fripp. Our usual villa was being renovated so we decided to rent this one. We loved it! It is very spacious, updated and accommodating. It had everything we needed and more. I loved that it was one level and was pretty child proof for my newly military crawling infant. There was enough seating for the two other families that were vacationing with us to join us for dinner each night. The kids loved eating at the high top table just for them. The extra fridge in the laundry room was great to be able to keep all the drinks so we didn’t have to keep a cooler chilling in the villa and we could dedicate more space for food in the kitchen fridge. The owner was very easy to reach, friendly and had quick follow up with questions. We will definitely be renting here again. Happy Frippers!

Fantastic Fripp Experience

We enjoyed our stay here as the inside had been significantly updated with ample seating, clean accommodations, and comfortable beds. Being on the ground level and beach front made for a short walk down the boardwalk to the beach. Rare find in an older community of condos. Highly recommend!
