This cottage is well cared for and has many lovely touches consistent with a fun lake vibe. Bright interior with spacious living areas and well-sized bedrooms for our group of three (I think as many as 5 adults would be comfortable here). Location was easy to get to and very convenient with beach and restaurants close by. There is a public park (Crystal Beach Waterfront Park) is just feet away, and we enjoyed a fun concert played at the park from the yard of the cottage. The Falls and attractions at Clifton Hill are in easy driving distance. Host communication was great, which made for easy check in and stay. Appreciated the advance notice that there is construction next door. It's a huge construction project but the work in process did not disrupt our comfort, access or activities at all. It's just unfortunate that, in our opinion, it's quite ugly.

Quaint lakefront stay
The owner reached out a week because to make sure we had the code to the door. He was very responsive and easy to communicate with. The day before we arrived, we got all to house information and learned we would need to bring linens, blankets and towels. We were already on our trip without any things we needed. This caused us to spend over $200 due to poor planning. We also learned there was no key to the door since a previous tenant lost it. So in the pouring rain, I had to walk through the neighboring construction site to the backyard to unlock the door then open the front for my family. That was when we noticed 5 trashbags on the front porch. These disappeared before we went to bed so I assume it was from the neighbors. We were comfortable and the view is beautiful. Unfortunately the sectional couch was not connected and kept pushing apart. It was clear that the floor was not cleaned and my kids found “treasures” in the couch cushions. There was a very loud full family in the other side of the duplex. We were not aware it was a duplex at the time of booking.
The owner request all the dishes be put away, not in the dishwasher. I think the previous renters were in a rush because all the plates and cups had puddles of water. We are not Canadian so are not familiar with the recycling and trash. I only saw 1 small receptacle outside so I wasn’t sure if it was for the trash or recycling.
