Great time

Great property in proximity to beach, restaurants and shops. One note: most furniture is very low which was a challenge for those with mobility issues but we made it work and enjoyed everything about our experience.

Great resort for a weekend getaway

Crystal Beach family getaway.

Our stay in crystal beach was very pleasant. Host were very helpful and available to address a few issues that were resolved quickly.. Location to all amenities in area were great. (not a 6 minute walk to beach, more like 12, but that was ok.. Everything else great. Would rent again next year if time warrants it.

An excellent home base in a great location

The house was exactly what we needed! Quiet but very convenient to shops, restaurants and services. An easy, short walk to the beach. The was nothing we reached for and wasn't there, including beach towels in April. Lots of room for sleeping but good space for group meals and activities. Kitchen was well equipped. Docking station for phones was very handy. Awesome to have a second shower. Owners were very responsive throughout our visit.

Great Stay for 2 Families!

We had such a great time at the Crystal Beach retreat. Pictures and listing is very accurate. We had 2 families with 3 kids each, so 6 total kids, age ranges from 1 - 7 years old. The big kitchen table and picnic tables outside were used often. The walk to the beach is about 7 minutes - just make sure you bring a wagon for little ones. There is a playground right up the street and you are steps away from 'Hot Dog Alley' (derby street). Check out Derby Days, when the street closes to cars and lawn games are available. The hosts were very responsive if I had questions and everything was clean and tidy. Highly recommend this beach house! Thank you for a great stay!

Comfortable & Convenient

My daughter & I had been traveling all day when we arrived at our destination; unfortunately, the check-in process was rough. To sum it up: the digital lockbox located above the door handle didn't respond to my touch so I thought it wasn't working. I tried to put the code into the physical lockbox, but of course that didn't work. It would have been helpful to know that a firm, constant pressure would wake up the digital lockbox. On a positive note, the owners were very responsive and helpful when I expressed my distress; they helped me successfully access the property. Once inside, my daughter & I were delighted by the roomy living room, spacious kitchen, & large soaking tub. Some of the surfaces had clearly been wiped down, but others were adorned in crumbs &/or dust. The trashcans were missing trash bags, which was inconvenient. The furnace, located downstairs just beyond the main bedroom wall, was very noisy & briefly awakened me on both nights. Other than the aforementioned issues, the house was tidy, pleasantly cozy, & convenient. A well-equipped kitchen, plus a roomy sectional & variety of sleeping options (3 bedrooms upstairs, plus 1 downstairs), set this rental a cut above: the owners have done a decent job maximizing & updating their bungalow. The surrounding area was a bit sketchy, but peaceful; the location couldn't be beat for its proximity to downtown & Niagara Falls (30-min drive). If I were to return to Fort Erie, I'd book CBR again without hesitation.
