Overall a wonderful experience! great experience for my kids and I to fish in the lake and catch fish. We relaxed around the camp fire had some s’mores and enjoyed the shack that was a wonderful time to shoot some pool

Perfect Hideaway

The pond is so close to the front door we could watch the turtles scurry around in the water. The kids had such a good time just being kids and playing as loud as they wanted. The kitchen was perfect for cooking big family meals. Beds were comfy, the whole place was spotless. We were in heaven. Check-in was super easy, owner was very friendly and our communication was always friendly. We wished we had booked a longer trip!

WKU Getaway

We had a little family get-together of 6 at the cabin in late March and it was perfect. It is well-stocked- kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms- had all we needed and very comfortable. And we couldn't get enough of the campfire right out front, with the perfect view overlooking the pond and the forest. And the surrounding land for hiking and exploring were ideal: we loved adventuring in the woods, enjoying the creek, and hiking out to the lake. We hope to be back, it's a great location to gather for our families that live in Indiana and Tennessee. Thank you for the opportunity to revel in your little piece of heaven!

Absolute Serenity

Amazing Hosts that met us on site and showed us around. Peaceful, beautiful, PERFECT little getaway! Green Gable cabin was GORGEOUS and spacious! Tons of trails to explore, a pond with a few fire pits around it, a large lake to kayak and/or fish. A great place to unplug and escape from our fast-paced life! We will definitely be back with family and friends!

House was fine - owner is a mess

Be advised, if you stay here - the guest contact is a hot mess. When we arrived to the house we couldn’t get the door unlocked for several minutes. It seems to just be stuck and eventually worked, we just had to try over and over. We reached out to the contact and they gave essentially no help, just the same instructions we already had, so we just left the door to the home unlocked until we left (not super safe, obviously, but we were afraid to be locked out). The home has a good layout and met our needs. The pond is right outside - plan for mosquitoes. Which were also inside and smashed onto the ceiling in the loft bedroom, which was kind gross. Kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. However, the listing I booked stated toiletries were provided and that was not the case, so plan for that. Closest store is about 20 mins. Worst part of the vacation for me came after - 4 days after we left the host called and accused me of stealing 2 comforters and two shams. I assured her we did not and she was incredibly rude to me. She let me know that her staff sent her pictures of what was in the home and that they weren’t there. I asked her to check again and magically they found them, but no apology was made for her appalling behavior. 0/10 for me. I would never accuse someone who just paid me hundreds of dollars of stealing unless I was 1 million percent sure. If you have any other options, I’d take it. There wasn’t anything standout about this house that made that worth it.

OUR STAY IN "THEIR NECK OF THE WOODS"

We arrived... The location on the GPS DOESN'T send you to the right address... Their is poor service in the area foriles and miles... IT was pitch BLACK!... QUITE SCARY surrounded by corns field's..... Finally got settled... and their was a welcome 📁 folder... General house rules... UNTIL ***DO NOT FLUSH TOILET PAPER!!! USE THE BAGS PROVIDED!!! & IF A PLUMBER HAS TO BE CALLED ITS $250.00...( NOT INCLUDE IN THE INFORMATION WHEN BOOKING I WOULD HAVE NEVER WENT). WE HAD 4ADULTS...2BABIES AND A PRETEEN.... NEXT...NO WIFI NOT CELL SERVICE IN THIS AREA... WR HAD TO GO DRIVE 20MINS TO GET A SIGNAL TO MAKE PHONE CALLS AND CHECK EMAILS ETC.... THERE'S SPECIFIC RULES FOR LOCKING THE DOORS.... As an habit we lock all doors when leaving home... The min door is a keyless entry and there's no way to re-enter the home if you lock the physical 🔒....low an behold we were locked out... I called the number and give for assistance with the cabin... Proceeded to tell her why and how we were locked asked if there's a key in a lock box on the site... Her first words were $**T!!!! ... She yelled and fussed and said YOU ARE JUST GOING TO WAIT!! DID YOU NOT READDD THE HOUSE RULES!!!! AND SHE WENT ON AND ON... I was shocked and remainded calm apologized and thanked her for what ever assistance she could provide to enter the enter the home... There was a guy in the house next door... She SAID WHY FID YYECEN LOCK

Wonderful Escape

Private spot that was very relaxing! Had fun fishing, hiking a bit and shooting pool! Beds and sofa were so comfy! Only 25-35 minutes to Bowling Green to do big activities so a great mix of fun and relaxation!
