This Cabin was everything me and the guys could have asked for. Cabin was homely, the rec room was a nice respite for us to use and unwind. The trail to the lake wasnt too hard to follow and it was perfect for a good morning stroll.

Lovely cabin in the woods

This cabin was absolutely lovely! It’s off the beaten path for sure, and felt very safe with a large gate at the front entrance! Soft linens, excellent pots and pans for cooking on! The water pressure and how hot the shower got, was absolutely amazing! The shower is 10/10! Loved it! The porch is lovely and very spacious! I enjoyed sitting on the porch swing while having my morning coffee with peekaboo pond views. If we stay in the area again(we came down for a hiking weekend) we would absolutely book this cabin again. It was perfect for us!

Hi Michael, the right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed if this wasn't the one for you. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following: - Our home is on a septic system, which can occasionally cause some issues. We would have been available to speak with you; on how the delicate septic system works. - Based on your feedback, we will be adding to our listing that there's a septic system in this home and how to use it properly We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.

Secluded Paradise

Our stay in the cabin was exactly what we were looking for. So private and secluded (nearest town is 20 minutes away) we only saw people when we wanted to. The cabin is clean and modern. The kitchen is well equipped, which is essential because restaurants few and far between. The bathroom is spacious with a large tile shower. The grounds are well kept with large grassy spaces tucked between verdant forest and farm fields. There are hiking trails around the hidden lake. If you’re looking for a beach like swimming experience, there are other VRBO properties that would be more suited. The lakes are for fishing and kayaking. If you’re comfortable swimming mud bottom lakes teaming with muskrats large fish in a natural habitat, I’m sure you could. We were just enthralled by the beauty of it. Shotgunns is an added bonus. It’s a cook shack/ game room with a full-size pool table, bags, and massive community sheltered fire pit. I could see 4 guys on a hunting trip having a great stay here. With 2 other cabins on the property, a family reunion would be perfect with room to spread out. Nancye was helpful and responsive to anything we needed (which wasn’t much)Wi-Fi is excellent, large TV over the fireplace, furniture is big and comfortable. In short, if you’re looking for secluded paradise in rural southern Kentucky, Hidden Lake Farms is the place!
