About this property

Peaceful Setting, on the water of Little Sarasota Bay

Tropical Breeze is a 1 bedroom 1 bath apartment on the first floor of a 4-plex apartment building. The apartment is no more than 30 ft from the water. A patio with lounge chairs, table/umbrella and gas grill is just outside. Great for suntanning; yet there is shade if/when needed.

You can fish right off of our dock or shoreline (we have poles for your use). This is a wildlife paradise. It is common to see dolphins and manatees. Listen for their exhaling, and you will know to look outside.

You can dock your boat at our boat dock for $35.00 a night. Parking for your trailer is available at the Turtle Beach marina.

Jumping fish? You will see scores of them, several species. Many jumping fish clear the water by 3, even 4 ft, right off our dock. Birds? There are plenty, including the usual Florida wading birds, osprey, and parrot.

We have kayaks and stand up paddle boards for your use, fishing gear as mentioned, bicycles including a tandem; and all manner of beach equipment such as skim and surf boards, floats, beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, toddler beach toys, and towels, so that you need not buy nor waste time renting those items.

We have a fully stocked Kitchen, including spices, cooking oil, and coffee. All that you'll need to buy is food. The entire property, apartment, and amenities are in good condition.

Tropical Breeze is at the South end of Siesta Key. Restaurants and grocery stores are not far. For your more serious shopping; a trip to the mainland will be required.

We have palm trees, plus orange,mango and fig; if you like fresh-picked fruit.

The apartment has 1 queen bed, and 1 queen-size fold out sofa bed. Can sleep a mom, dad, and two children, or 4 adults in comfort. Coin laundry on site. 1 parking space is included. Tropical Breeze was furnished, and is managed, by the owners of the 4- plex.

Great beach stay

Our family loved this vacation rental. The property was the perfect size and we were able to kayak and paddleboard every day using the rentals equipment We also caught fish off the dock and walked to turtle beach and nearby restaurants.

This is a very peaceful and beautiful location. The sunrises were magnificent plus daily dolphins, manatees, opsprey and pelicans for entertainment. It is also located right next door to the very best restaurant on the island. It is very convenient to an excellent strip of beach

It’s all about the view

Walking in to Apt. A, I was happy to see that cleanliness was a top priority. The view is wonderful and the patio allows for a nice space to take it all in. The unit was stocked with just about everything you need from toiletries to kitchen supplies. It’s a short walk to Turtle Beach and the trolley stop. The neighborhood is far enough away from the busy spots of Siesta Key; it is very quiet. The mattress and pillows were very comfortable. The only issue we had was that the sleeper sofa had a deflated air mattress, so sitting in the sofa wasn’t very comfortable, but the view and cleanliness made up for that. The communication with the owner was fantastic! I recommend staying here.

Tranquil retreat in Siesta Key

Tranquil retreat at the quiet end of Siesta Key. We really appreciated the kayaks, bicycles and beach chairs that were available. The lagoon is amazing for wildlife watching - either from the dock or the kayaks. There was so much to do that we didn’t get around to using the fishing poles! An easy bike ride into the commercial section of Siesta Key. If you want to cook, the kitchen is very well equipped and the host provides basics.

Great place to stay

Lovely location. Lots of wildlife viewing. Really enjoyed sitting in the swing and watching the dolphins. Property is away from the hustle and bustle but center of town was easily accessible. Unit was very well stocked with supplies. TV included Netflix which was great. Unit was generally clean but the tile floors could have been better. The property does not have a dishwasher but we didn’t mind. Would go back.

Siesta Key

We loved the fact we had water literally at our doorstep for this rental. The kitchen was well stocked with accessories for cooking and was a surprisingly large size relative to the unit. You can tell the unit is an older unit, but was super cozy for our stay. We would definitely recommend staying here. If you have a lot of things to do off the island, be prepared for a wait to get on and off due to the amount of traffic around the bridge to the island.

Something for everyone

Loved it! My husband's review was "there was always something to do". He doesn't just sit still...so, while I enjoyed my first cup of coffee in the morning, he was out kayaking, fishing or riding over to the beach. The view is amazing, the location is on the quiet side of the key, and the facilities are very comfortable. So much was provided for us and that made living there so easy. We bought groceries in Sarasota so we only hit the Daiquiri Deck and then Shaner's Pizza in Sarasota (YUM). The rest was dine in and relaxed. We hope to plan a month here after my husband retires as it is our favorite so far.

As soon as we arrived there were roaches in the bathroom and living room area. Then found more under the sofa bed and in bedroom as well! The bathroom floor was dirty and the shower curtain had mold all over it. The place also had a terrible musty smell. We left and found somewhere else to stay…

Great spot for long weekend of outdoor activities.

My wife and two kids (11, 8) went for a long weekend getaway and chose this spot based on the price and location. We loved the back patio overlooking the bay with a dock and access to 2 kayaks and 3 bikes, fishing poles, beach gear, BBQ etc (we used all of the above). The kids and I especially enjoyed kayaking to the very private beach (15 min kayak ride and access to a beach with no car access - counted 6 people over maybe 1/4 mile stretch. Awesome!). The kitchen was large enough and fully stocked (other than a cooking sheet but we made do). Publix run (10 min drive) stocked us for the weekend. We spent the majority of our time between turtle beach (easy walk or bike ride) and siesta beach (5-10 min drive and one of the best anywhere). Had an amazing time all weekend despite a rough start - toilet wasn't working at all. I reached the property manager but then didn't a definitive response for hours (my wife was fuming and wanting to move on by this point). Finally, a text that said plumber would be there the next morning (during a time we planned to be at the beach). I texted back to ask if I needed to be there because we had plans to leave and never got a response so we stayed at the apartment on Saturday morning and waited for the plumber (who was great by the way). He also had to fix the a/c upstairs for another guest. After that we were back to the fun. Queen bed was comfortable, and the kids did fine in sofa/sleeper (pullout bed). For the price I'd stay here again, but my wife wasn't impressed with the plumbing issue and more importantly the lack of communication by PM. Only other issue to mention is parking is tight. One parking space per unit and if someone takes your spot, not sure what to do. All that said, Siesta Key is awesome!!

cute place with amazing view

We loved our stay. Quaint little condo was clean and well equipped. It backs up to the water where we watched manatees while sitting on the back patio every morning and evening. Beautiful sunrises. Way quieter and the main hub of Siesta Key. Beach and couple of good restaurants within walking distance. Would definitely book again!

Hidden gemstone in Bay!

I stayed in unit A on ground floor. The place was great ! My fav place to eat bkfst Toasted Mango !!Grab your coffee get up an hour before sunrise sit on swing, or the dock watch dolphins gracefully surface ever so gently. Once sun is on horizon head out in kayak and enjoy the playful manatees their blow holes are much louder. Fish jumping all around you amazing fishing!

Beautiful views

Nice holiday lodging, one bedroom ground floor with a beautiful view of the intercoastal (facing East). Quiet southern area of Siesta Key, 5 min walk to Turtle Beach. Property was well equipped with everything needed, except food, even aquatic equipment. Generally, clean although worn, A/C worked well and all appliance were in working order. Bathroom could do with an exhaust fan, as small window does not seem to clear moisture and has to opened from outside. Shower, toilet and sink were adequate and functional. TV with on the air channels available, and netflixks. Outside patio overlooks intercoastal, nice recliner chains, table with 4 chairs, swing seat and BBQ are available for use. Shared with other residents of the apartments. Boat dock and bat buckets available to use on dock. Overall, very nice Property and adequate for a few days break.

Great Location

We loved the location and the view, especially from sitting on the swing outside.. I was super disappointed that there was mildew in the shower.. especially the bottom.. I wiped some of it off with a rag.. there was also mildew behind the kitchen faucet, and the corners of some of the rooms were gross. I know that this is normal things that happen in a house, however when you are paying to stay in a place, you expect it to be very clean! Especially when there are multiple famines coming and going throughout this place. The mattress on the couch is NOT a mattress! There was no padding at all. This needs to be replaced or listed as place for two people to stay, not including the pull out couch as a bed. I just couldn’t relax bc of the feeling of uncleanliness.. And the place were the bikes, kayaks and paddle boards are, it’s so junky and unorganized.. there isn’t a air pump to air up the tires for the bikes. And keep in mind, there is only 2 bikes, 2 kayaks, and 2 paddle boards that have to be shared with 4 families. This place could be amazing with some TLC!!
