Beautiful spot for our family, lots of toys and great for my 2yr old grandson for swimming. Water is knee deep for a long ways out. Would definitely book here again next year
This is a great property to relax. The rooms were spacious, clean and well furnished, and kitchen and living area offered all you need for a great stay. Add to it great outdoor space and you have all you need for a great stay. The location is remote yet Barry's Bay is close by so that you don't miss out on opportunities to shop and dine.
Very good location, not far from town if you needed anything. Lake was shallow great for young children . Cottage had everything you need very comfortable.
Couldn’t ask for a better place for a family getaway that is pet friendly. Modern amenities throughout made for a stress free experience. Plenty of activities to keep everyone happy and space so everyone could spread out. Close to a variety of shops makes it easy to pick up food and anything we needed.
Beautiful property! Cottage was spotless and was both cozy and modern with two full bathrooms and beautiful views of the lake. The hammock was my home for the week and the clear, shallow water was so much fun for my dog and son to play in. We loved the kayaks and drinking coffee facing the lake was beautiful. The lake is quiet and gorgeous. The property is set far from the road and the hosts are gracious with firewood, and fun water toys for kids. Loved our stay.
Our family really enjoyed our time here. While it would have been a bit nicer if this are of the lake wasn't sooo shallow for sooo long before you finally hit deeper water, but it was great for our dog's first exposure to water! Lewis was great at sending us communications leading up to our stay, and incredibly responsive when we arrived. Neighbours are quiet and friendly, and being at the cottage is peaceful and private. HIghly recommended!
We had a relaxing time for sure and the weather held up for us.
Lewis was quick to answer all questions.
We found the house in decent cleanliness except for some left over things from the previous guests.
We had to get the sheets and towels from the laundry bins but it was still there and we really enjoyed the stay.
The Neighbor launched and removed our 18 foot boat for a $50 fee as you can’t get a larger boat in at the house.
There are dishes and all basic amenities here which made it feel like home.
I must say the beds were comfortable too.
The town is 10 mins down the road for any last min shopping or restocking the milk.
Large place with lots to do!
Fully recommend this place to all.
We had a truly lovely stay at this cozy cottage in Barry's Bay! The views were absolutely beautiful, and the quiet surroundings made for a wonderfully peaceful retreat.Unfortunately, our youngest wasn't feeling well with a bit of sun exhaustion for the first two days, so we spent some quality one-on-one time indoors. Thankfully, the cottage was well-equipped with plenty of puzzles and games, which kept us happily occupied during her recovery while the rest of the family enjoyed the water activities. We were also delighted by the occasional visits from a beautiful hummingbird to the feeder out back – a real treat, even if we never quite managed to get the camera out in time! The host was amazing with communication, making everything seamless from start to finish. The cottage itself was very homey and comfortable. As expected with a lakeside location, bug spray was definitely a must-have when spending time outside, but that's just part of the charm of being so close to nature. We highly recommend this cottage for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway!
When we got to this cottage, we were surprised at how spacious it was. Going from the master bedroom to the dining area allowed me to get in lots of steps! The bedrooms were big with lots of room and the beds were very comfortable. I loved the fact that the water was shallow at first because it made it much easier to get on the paddle boards and kayak. The water was very warm and calm. My favourite part was being towed by the paddle board while on the blow-up lounge chair. It was so relaxing just floating along on the water. We really enjoyed watching the ducks swim by, especially the momma duck and her five ducklings. We also saw the hummingbird come to the feeder, but were not quick enough to take a picture either. Overall, we had a lovely time and the only negative thing was the tiny blackflies and deer flies that liked to attack us at every chance they got. Our poor little dogs even got bitten. Definitely would recommend this cottage! Just don't forget the bug spray and be prepared to have a relaxing time! Check-in was super easy and the host, Lewis, was super nice and responded back immediately.
The cabin is located in a beautiful setting, right at the lake. The interior is very spacious and the kitchen and bathroom both well equipped. The bedrooms are also light and well furnished. There is plenty of gear for outside activities. Communication with Louis, the owner went very smooth and easy. It is an ideal place for the summer season. Our trip was early October and we had some ice and it started to snow.
My family had an absolutely amazing time at this cottage. The water was perfect & sandy, the kayaks were a blast, the place was perfectly clean & we enjoyed the town.
Definitely recommend staying here!
Our family and especially our 4 and 11 year old granddaughters loved there time here. The lake was the main reason as both of them seemed to be in the water the whole week. The cabin had everything we needed. Our host, Lewis was easy to get hold of when we had questions. When it came time to come home though, our 4 year old granddaughter was quite upset as she wanted Maggie to come with home with her!! We would definitely recommend this spot for your next family vacation.
We had a great time at the cottage with the grandsons. There was lots for them to keep entertained. The boys and our dogs loved the warm shallow water. The view of the lake is perfect sitting outside or at the dining room table. The cottage was very clean and the three bedrooms and two full bathrooms made it feel like you were at home.
We drove from Brant to stay at this perfect cottage, location is amazing, water was great for my daughter to play. I would totally recommend staying here, beautiful views from deck
Rustic cottage with great amenities including wifi, Netflix, lots of books and board games for rainy days. Great spot for kids, especially the lake which is very shallow, sandy, and crystal clear. So close to downtown Barry's Bay. Would definitely book again. Host was very responsive when we needed to contact him also.
