THE EXPERIENCE:
↟ Vista Cabin Rentals is family-owned and rooted in the land, where our Polish and Métis heritage shape the way this space is shared and experienced. Set on 200 acres of private forest, this is more than a place to stay — it’s a place to return to something simpler.
Here, the rhythm shifts. Days are guided by light, weather and the natural world instead of clocks and screens. Trails invite you, birdsong drifts through the trees and the land opens space to wander, reflect and reconnect. Each season brings its own experience — from warm, fire-lit winter stays to light, breezy summer days shaped by sun and fresh air.
Whether you’re exploring the forest, resting in stillness, or enjoying nearby lakes and local culture, the experience invites a deeper connection — to nature, to self and to something beyond the everyday.
Vista was created as a space to gently step away from the noise of modern life, find balance and return to what matters.
🌲If you’ve been feeling the need to slow down, this place tends to find the right people at just the right time. 🌲

About the host
Hosted by Amanda Olsheskie
I’m from the Ottawa Valley and grew up on this land, which has been part of my family for generations. It’s a place that’s always grounded me and shaped how I see the world.
I enjoy being outdoors, working with the land, and creating spaces where people can slow down and feel at ease. Hosting feels like a natural way to share that — offering others the chance to reconnect with nature, with themselves, and with something simpler.

Why they chose this property
I chose this area because it’s home. I grew up here, and this land has been part of my family for generations — originally settled by my ancestors who immigrated from Poland in the 1800s.
This space continues a vision that has been passed down through generations. Today, it’s something I’m proud to share with guests in a way that honours both the land and the experience it offers.
The Ottawa Valley holds a unique kind of beauty — quiet forests, nearby lakes, and a slower pace of life. Here, you can truly disconnect from the noise of the city while still being close to small communities like Killaloe, Wilno, and Barry’s Bay.
It’s a place rooted in history, nature, and connection — and one that tends to stay with people long after they leave.
