The house was beautiful and spotlessly clean, with plenty of room for us to spread out. The beds were very comfortable and linens/towels were good quality. The hosts were very generous in things they left for our use in the kitchen. Its a lovely area, with elk that wander onto the property occasionally to eat apples.

Great stay!
Greatly enjoyed our sisters trip and stay at this cute home. Owners attention to detail and responsiveness was appreciated. Had everything we needed, and some nice surprise bonuses. Comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen, washer and dryer, and a great location for exploring Payson and Pine.Would definitely stay again.
We do a family trip every year. This place is close to a lot of fun stuff to do! The host was wonderful and always checking in to see if we needed anything. Would definitely stay here again!
We had a great stay, the cottage is deep in the woods, in a quiet little community, mins from water wheel falls.

Shared from the owner: "Thank you, Anca, we’re so thrilled that you enjoyed your stay and excited to see you visit again! Thank you for the kind words, we also believe Walnut Hill is special. You were so kind to our neighbor across the road, he loved meeting and talking with all of you. Thank you again and see you soon!"
My children and I really enjoyed this past weekend at the property. Close to river crossings and hikes. Home was clean and well stocked. Host was quick to respond and helpful! Thank you!
We LOVED our stay this adorable CLEAN Whispering Pines cottage! The decor was a charming farmhouse style in calm shades of gray, camel, and white . . . complete with rocking chairs on the veranda where we saw elk, rabbits, and nesting herons. The beds were very comfy and the kitchen had everything we needed, and more. Eric and his wife were wonderful and answered every question we had, and offered suggestions to make our stay in Payson fun and memorable. We can't wait to come back in the fall!

From the owner: "Thank you Rhonda for the wonderful review. We’re so happy that you enjoyed your time at Walnut Hill and can’t wait to have you back!"
Girls getaway to this adorable cabin was exactly what we needed - to unplug, catch up with each other, laugh and make some wonderful memories. The beds were super comfy, the outdoor fireplace would be super fun in the spring (we had rain and snow), the house has a great assortment of coffee and fun games to play when we couldn't get out to hike. Eric, the owner really pulls out the stops when it comes to customer service. We look forward to staying again in the milder weather.
My family and I enjoyed our 3 night stay at this gem of a cottage. We used it to rest up after Christmas Day to prepare to push into 2025 ready to go. Our stay did not disappoint. The kitchen was clean and had everything you need to cook meals including spices, some condiments and cookware. The grill was put to proper uses as well. The outdoor fire pit cooked up s’mores while the indoor fireplace kept me warm while reading ‘The Alchemist” from cover to cover. The Owner and the property manager were very accommodating and easy to communicate with throughout our stay. We would not hesitate to recommend this cottage for a getaway from the desert heat and chaos.

Epitome of hospitality
It is rare these days that you find good customer service. It is even rarer to find such service that demonstrates kindness, humanitarianism and sincerity. The owners were very welcoming and informative prior to the stay. Just prior to the scheduled stay our daughter had an asthma flare up and we could not make the trip because her asthma could not handle the air quality (from nearby forest fires). The owners were understanding and compassionate when addressing our situation. I am so appreciative of their quick responses and willingness to help us. This is the epitome of hospitality. We will be going back very soon!

LOVE LOVE LOVE
A wonderful experience! The cottage is clean with comfy beds and a stocked kitchen…also beautifully decorated and so cozy. Six of us fit comfortably in four bedrooms, loved the separate family and living spaces. Great communication with the host, Eric. Thank you for the bottle of wine! Whispering Pines is quiet. Close to so many things- we hiked (Water Wheel Falls), ate (THAT Brewery in Pine was a great recommendation), and visited the rim (lakes and fishing). Elk roam around. The bonfire pit area at night is magical, be sure to turn on the lights. Oh and the front porch rocking chairs! Definitely returning and highly recommend!

The bonfire pit is a new installation; glad you were able to enjoy it.
Thank you again for being an amazing guest, and please come back anytime!"
