Comfy little cabin with everything we needed for 5 adults. The pebble beach 30 feet or so from the house was perfect! You can hot tub and then cold plunge in the crystal clear lake. Sunrise was so pretty, we saw a mink swimming, 2 big swans and all kinds of birds and little jumping fish galore. Perfect getaway!
Overall a mixed stay. The lake view was gorgeous and the hot tub and fire pit made for really relaxing evenings. We appreciated that towels, soap, shampoo, toilet paper and paper towels were provided and the newly renovated bathroom was nice. That said, a few things impacted our stay. There was a musty smell when we arrived (a few Airwicks throughout the main areas is recommended) and we dealt with fruit flies inside the entire stay. The main bathroom shower could use a deep clean. No extra blankets or bedding were available. 2 of the 3 bedrooms have no closet or space for clothes. The house rules were posted in different spots around the cottage instead of one clear place, so it took some hunting to find everything we needed to know.Beautiful location with some upside, but a few maintenance issues that could use attention.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and for choosing our lakefront property for your stay. We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the gorgeous lake views and had relaxing evenings using the hot tub and fire pit. We’re also happy that you appreciated the newly updated bathroom and the amenities provided throughout the home.
We would like to clarify a few points for future guests. The bathroom is newly renovated and is regularly cleaned and maintained before every guest's arrival. We take cleanliness very seriously and would have been happy to address any concerns immediately if they had been brought to our attention during the stay.
Regarding the fruit flies, these can occasionally appear when food or garbage is left indoors, particularly during warmer weather. As no issue was reported to us during the stay, we did not have the opportunity to investigate or assist at the time.
The cottage is designed to offer a comfortable and cozy lakefront experience, and we provide essential amenities as listed in our property description. We also continue to review guest feedback to make the experience even better.
We appreciate your kind words about the location and amenities and thank you again for your feedback. We’re glad you were able to enjoy many wonderful aspects of your stay.
We had a great stay, right on the lake, it was my sons graduation and they left a graduation card on the table.. was a great touch.. highly recommend, very fast to reply as well.
The cottage matched how it looked online! The view was beautiful, and the host was very responsible and responded very quickly to all of our questions during the stay.
We came to visit over a long weekend for an event in the area. We were amazed by the wonderful Lake Ontario views offered from the property. Everything in the house was clean and in good working order. It was a joy to be able to get away for a few days and enjoy the serenity of the location and explore the area's offerings. The host was communicative, kind, and helpful. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

I was surprised after reading other reviews on this property how disheveled and unkempt the property is. Very first impression was one of overgrown weeds everywhere. Trash next to the front shed. Tree litter covers the wet, slippery wooden walkway. All over the rental are signs, warnings, review ratings taped to wall, cabinets, in frames and not. Put in a folder for the renters to review.Dishwasher is unusable, not mounted. The furniture is all showing its age. The stools have cracked vinyl seats and one a bent leg. The dining area is cluttered. A loveseat and a chair sharing the same area. A large lime green sectional and 4 chairs lined up in front of the windows in the living room. There were over a dozen flies buzzing inside the back windows. We sucked them up with a vacuum. Fly gore on the walls/ceiling in living room. The floor is showing wear and several worn/damaged/missing sections.Windows were all dirty and most still had stickers from the factory on them. Total lack of storage in bedrooms and master bath. Master queen bed crowded room. Cheap sheets/pillows, a fleece for bed cover. Master bathroom vent was covered in cobwebs and light fixtures very dusty.Lakeside, again, area is totally overgrown with weeds and looks nothing like the photos. Old junk tealights, propane cannister, wheelbarrow? The area is very nice. 2 small beaches very close. A lot to do in a short drive any direction. We would not rent there again.
Perfect cottage for our family of 8. The cottage was clean and spacious enough to accommodate all of us. Backyard is on the lakefront. We enjoyed the hot tub, paddle boat, and kayak, evening bonfires by the lake. We hope to return and highly recommend this cottage.
We had a great stay! The cottage was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing family vacation. The location was perfect—quiet by the lake but still close to restaurants, stores, and attractions. The host was friendly, responsive, and made everything easy. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely stay again. Highly recommend!
Our hosts were wonderful from start to finish. We stayed for five days over Canada Day and had a fantastic time. From having all the amenities already available to us inside the cottage along with some fun water toys too! I would recommend to others who stay bring water shoes as the stones continue into the water and can be uncomfortable on bare feet. But other than that don’t hesitate to make this your next vacation destination.I know we will return again in the future :)
