The host is very attentive, very quiet place to relax. Though they've warned us about bringing bottled water for drinking due to strong smell of sulfur, it was very unbearable even for showering or washing our clothes. Luckily, there are plenty of candles we can light up throughout the house

Incredible

The cabin is nice and spacious and the location is phenomenal. The cabin is just steps away from Craig Creek, our dog loved swimming in it and we had a blast kayaking. Teresa was incredibly responsive and helpful with any questions we had. A 30 minute drive will get you to plenty of wineries, breweries, views, hikes, swims, and anything else you could want from a getaway.

Perfect Family Getaway

This was exactly what we were looking for in a place to stay with two families with children. The house was adorable with extremely comfortable beds and pillows. The screened in porch was wonderful and the views from the porch and living area are so peaceful. The owner was extremely quick to respond to any questions I had before and during the trip and was very helpful in recommending things to do and see in the area. If you are looking for a place to stay that is located near lots of things to do and see, this is the place for you. We would love to make plans to come back again!

Peaceful Place

Cabin is in a peaceful spot - right on Craig Creek. Wonderful to sit out on the screened porch and watch & listen to the creek. Great yard for dogs. Be prepared to climb up & down some steps to get up into Cabin. Cabin has window A/C units which is needed in warmer months.

Picturesque setting!

This cabin is in a heavenly setting!! You’re surrounded by mountains, trees, and a creek; all visible throughout the cabin. There is a well equipped kitchen, comfortable furniture, and kayaks to enjoy as well (just not in winter, lol). The porch swing was delightful to sit and listen to the creek that is only steps from the cabin. I can’t wait to come back in nicer weather. It is truly an escape from life!

Great week at the cabin!

Loved the location, privacy, and quiet surroundings. Everything was great, and the water was just like any other Sulphur water. It has a smell, but it works! Plus, there was a full bottle of water in the water cooler when we arrived. We enjoyed sitting down by the water and watching the ducks float by. We communicated both with Evolve, and with the local contact, and everyone was helpful and quick to reply. Would not hesitate to stay again!

Tranquility on Craigs Creek

Lovely setting to have a small family gathering. There was a gate on the deck which was great protection for our 1.5 year old grandson. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was great. We did a lot of cooking. There are plenty of pots and pans, but lacked bowls and pyrex dishes for baking and/or serving dish. Luckily I brought along my one large bowl for baking my PA Dutch potato filling. We all visited and hiked @ Roaring Run National Park. Great visit.

Had to clean before moving in: swept and mopped floor, vacuumed porch but didn't attempt to clean off car porch! Other than that we had a great time! Graduation week was fabulous! Fishing, laughter, eating, rocking my great- grands! What a blessing!

Weekend getaway

Weekend trip with family. Home is a cabin, so very small and older. No air-conditioning so be prepared if weather is warm. The water has a very strong sulfur smell when running. You will need to bring water for drinking, brushing your teeth. The owners did advise us of this, but .there was also very low water pressure as well.Home needs a liitle more upkeep, Surrounding view is beautiful, kayak use on property was an added plus.

cottage on creek

Water was so strong with sulfur smell, you couldn't brush your teeth, take a bath, or cook with it. When arriving, grass wasn't mowed, cobwebs all over outside. Inside, smelled like dog!, floors were sticky and had dog hair. Fry pans had to be washed before using. Bedding in closet smelled like dog. One bedroom had bugs coming in from window and dog hair on the bed. There were 2 t.v.s but only 1 worked. Not enough lighting to navigate outside steps. No easy access to creek. Stores are half hour away.

Beth, the right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed if this wasn't the one for you. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following: -We're sorry to hear that you had a hard time with the state of the water. We emailed you ahead of your arrival to suggest bringing bottled water to drink. We know that the water does have a strong sulfur smell but it is fine for bathing/showering. There is also a water cooler at the cabin just in case guests forget to bring their own. We want future guests to be aware of this factor if they are not used to the presence of sulfur in water. -In regards to your concerns about the smell and floors of the unit; we spoke to our cleaning service about this. Though, in many of our reviews, we receive positive feedback on cleanliness. It is a pet-friendly rental so it is possible that you found a few dog hairs but all bedding and blankets are always washed. Our service does their best in this department but your feedback will be considered. -We received a lot of rain before your arrival which contributed to the grass being longer than expected. The grass is cut once a week but can be harder to maintain with greater rainfall. -Our dishes are rustic but they are clean; we understand that this might not suit everyone's preference. -The access to the creek is clear but there are no sidewalks as it is a rural, country setting. -We do have a few units that bugs can fly in through if left open; this is hard to mitigate since we are so close to a creek. The same goes for the cobwebs you mentioned; they can accumulate quickly after being brushed off. -We have two stores located within five minutes of the cabin. You can usually get everything you would need at Kelley's market and deli. -Thank you for bringing the outside lighting and TV to our attention.

Theresa is fantastic

The cabin is well represented by the web site. It was very clean. We enjoyed the screened in deck, outside deck, fire pit and kayaking on the creek. It's a good distance from civilization and few places around you. The cabin has more stuff in it than I was expecting. Shampoo and some toiletries, a full kitchen, I honestly thought it was more like someone's house that I'd rented than a cabin because there was everything you could possibly think of there. Hospitality: The owner was especially helpful when we were there. She responded to text, email and calls quickly and gave us advice on the area. I felt like she thought of just about everything. Bugs: Yes of course there are. Bring a can of insect fogger and walk around the perimeter of the lawn with it. We did that and within hours the bugs were mostly gone, and we were able to sit outside even at night and enjoy the camp fire and running stream. Sulfur in water: Yes, it isn't perfect but there was a water cooler with 5 gallon bottles of water in the kitchen so there was no need to worry about bringing enough fresh water. It reminded me of a destination I went to in the Rocky Mountains that had natural hot water springs that smelled a bit like sulfur - some places you have to pay extra for the minerals in the water, though I would prefer not to have the smell in the water. All in all, it was everything we hoped for, and we had a spectacular time.
