Beautiful Villa

we stayed this year from the 1 to the 15 August in your beautiful Villa El Botin. It was a very nice holiday with a beautiful view up to the sea. Every thing was fine and we think we come back, when we make holydays the next time in the south of spain. So thanks for the recreative holidays in your lovely house.

A super place to get away from it all.

This villa certainly ticked all the boxes for a peaceful stay in wonderful surroundings. The villa was exactly as described and the pool with heating was superb for early morning and late swimming. The surrounding area is lovely and well worth exploring. The local village of Comares has everything you need and is a pretty white village on the top of a hill. The caretaker called on the first day and was available if needed. overall I would recommend this villa for a peaceful quiet holiday.

Perfect place to unwind...

We came already for at least the 6th time and enjoyed it just as much as when we first saw Villa Botin. The weather was great, the heated pool very inviting and the service again excellent. The views are the most spectactular from watching the sun rise on the Roof terrace to taking a late night swim in the illuminated pool and watching the lights of Velez Malaga at night. A truely perfect place to unwind and forget the everyday stress at home. We already made reservations again....!

Absolutely Perfect

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the villa was perfect for all my family, which enabled me to spend quality time with all of them. The pool was amazing, we all had so much fun. Location is great for all the local tourist areas, and Comares is breath taking. We enjoyed it so much, we are wanting to do it again next year! My only criticism is the beds could be proper beds rather than camp style bases, a bigger kettle so we can all enjoy coffee together! However they were no issue and did not spoil our holiday at all! Loved it.

Long awaited covid holiday

The outside space was fantastic but the inside needed some attention, had we been a party of 12 it would have been a bit difficult….eg , bathroom space, , not enough seating for 12 outside , only 6 wine glasses, the kettle was only 1litre and would literally only make 3 drinks. Aside from these criticisms we adapted and had a fantastic time, think you. need to mention how very rural it is and quite a challenge as a driver!

When people rent they know that they are coming to the campo de Comares and are looking for a rural house with its nature and its tranquility and therefore to get there there are some winding roads but nothing scary knowing that the roads are well adapted . I would have liked to know that a few stemmed glasses were missing when we asked several times if everything was ok and we would have brought them. Nevertheless, we hope to see you again next time. Splendid isolation

Well equipped, clean and comfortable house with complete privacy. The heated pool is a good size and was really warm at the start of April. We had a couple of minor snags that were dealt with immediately by the friendly staff. Comares is in the mountains so it can take a while to get around on the winding roads. Trips to the beach and Malaga are easily in range, but Granada and Seville are 2-3 hours drive away. I would recommend the property to anyone except those with very young children (for safety around the pool and stairs).

We came for the third time!

After having spent two splendid vacations in this villa, we returned to it this year for the third time again. It is the perfect place to unwind and recharge your batteries. The view is so spectacular and peaceful at the same time. The villa is spacious and equipped with all we need. We had barbecue every evening, looking at the stars and the lights of Velez-Malaga. In the mornings we had our tea and coffe at the terrace, watching the sun rise. José is very friendly and helpful and in the rare cases we needed to ask him for something, eg. for an extra blanket, he delivered it almost instantly. We always take the heating for the wonderful pool because that way we can still use it daily at the end of october, even if skies are cloudy at times. I can surely fully recommend this place and we already reserved it again for next year!

Another great stay in the beautiful place!

Directly after our stay in this house we booked it again for this year. And we did not regret it! Even though the weather was a bit colder than last year, the warm pool allowed us to be in it everyday. We spent two weeks again with our sons, 13 and 15, and like last year, we spent 90% of our time at the pool with the spectacular view over the valleys and the mediterranean in the distance. This is our favorite time of the year as we enjoy the last sunny days before going through a dark and usually wet winter in Hamburg. Although there would be plenty of things to do and see in the places nearby, the villa tempted us each day to stay there, play in the pool, read a good book and have a barbecue with the best view I can imagine . It is just so relaxing and beautiful there! We had no problems with anything in the house. It was clean, had lots of space and beautiful terraces where we often watched the sunrise with a cup of tea or coffee. We can surely recommend this villa and have already reserved it for next year again. Susanne

Peaceful relaxing getaway with awesome views

The villa had everything we needed and more. The views from the property were incredible, and there was a lovely breeze most days to cool us down, otherwise it would have been too hot. Arrival at the villa was quick and easy - we phoned the caretaker a couple of hours before arrival and he met us when we got there, then we were left to our own devices. Apart from the pool man who came several times to clean the pool, we weren’t bothered at all. You need to be a reasonably confident driver to drive on the roads up to the villa, but it’s worth it. The pool was in use constantly and very much appreciated. I loved that we could flip the lights on at night and use it then too. The poolside area got the sun all day so we rarely left apart from to do a restock of supplies from the larger supermarket in Velez-Malaga, and a couple of sight seeing trips. Comares is a lovely place to visit for the views and the moorish architecture (and there’s a handy small supermarket for the odd item) Lake Vinuela was lovely for the views but it was too hot to stay long. The Wi-fi was useful but there was a good 4G signal as well. The TV didn’t have any English channels, but it didn’t bother us as we are used to that and brought our own iPad with films etc on it that we could just connect to the TV. The kitchen had everything we needed and it was easy to prepare our own food everyday. Dishwasher very welcome.

Traumhafte Lage

Natur pur!
